Raffles Hotel Singapore

Amazing stay at Raffles. All the staff were so polite, helpful and attentive to all our needs and somehow almost always knew what we needed before we did! The rooms were very well appointed and had everything you could possibly need, and if there was something that was not initially catered for it was only a quick call to the butlers to resolve your requirements. All the food was fantastic and served with so much attention to detail. You were made to feel welcome and comfortable from the moment you stepped on to the red carpet at the front of the hotel. Although this is obviously a higher end hotel, you defiantly get what you pay for from start to finish in every aspect your stay. Too many staff to mention individually, they were all wonderful from the room attendants to the management. However, we would like to mention Nazir Yusof who conducted the history of Raffles tour for us on Thursday afternoon, he was very personable and extremely knowledgeable, it was an experience that was well worth the time. Hope to visit again in the not-too-distant future.

KC ( long and handsome in his suit) was lovely and kind when I was upset that I could not buy the Singapore Sling glass at the Long Bar due to shipment delay. He clarified the situation and even offered me a couple of freebies to comfort me. He gallantly agreed to take a photo with me. KC displayed excellent customer service with the human touch. Spent a couple of nights at Raffles whilst in Singapore and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is looking fantastic, it has kept its old world charm but with modern amenities. The gym and pool area were great facilities and all the staff were wonderful. We did the hotel history tour with Nazir who has been at the hotel for 20 years and I don’t think there was anything he didn’t know. This is only offered to residents so make sure to book it if you are staying. We really enjoyed the courtyard bar at the end of the night. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend people give Raffles a try. Nice area to walk from with everything near enough to walk to.

Having been to the hotel to dine on previous visits to Singapore we decided to stay here for a couple of nights on our way back from New Zealand. I was a little apprehensive beforehand that we might be disappointed having stayed in some lovely hotels in Singapore over the years but there was no need for that, Raffles proved to be absolutely amazing. The iconic hotel is beautiful, relaxed and peaceful. Staff were super efficient and friendly and made you feel very special. The bedroom was spacious with a large sitting area and a fabulous bathroom. We spent a wonderful morning by the swimming pool which was very quiet on the day we were there - plenty of comfortable sun loungers with umbrellas for shade. We booked direct with the hotel and received a complimentary afternoon tea, a limousine transfer from the airport and a welcome Singapore Sling. As guests of the hotel we reserved a table in The Long Bar at a time to suit us, which meant bypassing a very long queue! We also had drinks and snacks in The Writers Bar on our second evening, which was actually even better than The Long Bar. Breakfast in the Tiffin Room was fabulous, a lovely buffet to choose from as well as an A La Carte menu. Raffles was definitely one of the best hotels we have stayed in worldwide and we will hopefully return.

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in! Better than Claridges, the Ritz or the Savoy in London; the Georges Cinq in Paris; the Four Seasons in New York; the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong… What makes it the best? •The attention to details so minute you didn’t realise they are missing in other hotels, but they make all the difference. •The staff and their attitude as well as their friendliness. So observant, so helpful and thoughtful - they made us feel right at home. •The cleanliness and condition of the rooms and bathrooms (as well as the public spaces) are outstanding. Not a cobweb or speck of dust anywhere and when we were staying they were even repainting the drain grills!!! This hotel is the epitome of luxury and we cannot praise it highly enough. We cannot wait to come back!
