We are so glad we decided to stay here instead of the Four Seasons or Shangri-La. This hotel, albeit more expensive than the other two options above, has a fantastic location and views! PROS: The front desk is very welcoming, friendly and all around helpful. We were each given a bouquet of lovely flowers upon check-in for our birthdays and a lovely welcome champagne and sweet treats for our anniversary. Our room was just as described and even better, the view INSANE, the room was the deluxe Opera View, on the first floor, which we thought would be bothersome, but it was not. two balconies with lots to see. Bathroom was large and well laid out, another bathtub with a view! great large shower and good water pressure. Beds super comfy just like at the PH Auckland. Sheets were soft and pillows were perfect. Bar was nice and cozy in the lobby and the bartenders were very skilled mixologists and friendly as well Concierge (David Luft - AMAZING!!!) and Patrick as well. Cannot say enough of how professional, courteous, knowledgeable and just wonderful David and Patrick are. I bugged them quite a bit to plan out this vacation and they assisted with every aspect, airport transfers, dinners, tours and general inquiries. They will not steer you wrong! Very quick on returning emails :) Breakfast in the dining room was excellent, so tasty, fresh and service was quick, again beautiful view of the Opera House from here as well. CONS: None! Would definitely return!

I had the pleasure of staying with my family at Park Hyatt Sydney for New Year's Eve, and overall, it was a memorable experience with a few minor drawbacks. Pros: NYE Fireworks Management: The hotel managed the NYE fireworks viewing exceptionally well. The strict guest policies ensured that the viewing deck wasn't overcrowded, providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Opera House View: The view of the Sydney Opera House was stunning and definitely a highlight of the stay. New Year's Brunch: The New Year's brunch was absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, and the variety was impressive. It was a great way to start the year. Housekeeping: Housekeeping was timely and thorough every day, and the staff were attentive to any needs at night. Cons: Minimum Night Restrictions and Cancellation Policy: The hotel has strict minimum night stay restrictions for NYE and a rigid cancellation policy, which might be inconvenient for some travelers. Breakfast Variety: Besides the New Year's brunch, the breakfast offerings were less impressive. The menu didn't change much during our multi-days stay, leading to a bit of monotony. Harbor Bridge View: On NYE, the view of the Harbor Bridge was blocked due to public access to the lawn area at the back of the hotel. World of Hyatt Benefits: Don't expect any upgrades for year-end stays. Conclusion: If you're looking for a prime spot to enjoy the NYE fireworks with your family without the hassle of crowds or pricey dinner shows, the Park Hyatt Sydney is a great choice. However, be prepared for some minor limitations regarding breakfast and the strict policies. Despite these, the breathtaking Opera House view and well-managed fireworks experience make it worth considering for your next New Year's celebration.

We wanted to have an afternoon tea at this beautiful hotel’s Living Room restaurant at 2:30pm today - there were clearly empty tables but the female Korean (or Japanese server) was very unfriendly and told us the seating is reserved for in house guests only. (According to my friend, this lady is always unfriendly.) Really? In house guests only?!!

The best hotel stay in Sydney- best service, best room, best view, best ammenities, best food- it felt like a luxury room. No one else seems to have it all dialed in, based on other hotel stays. This was a special occassion and I had communicated with the hotel via messeges and a phone call prior to the stay. They knocked it out of the park!
