Staycation

If you book a harbour view, you cannot get a more iconic view/location than this. To have a balcony overlooking this bustling ferry/boat port cannot be any better. Just superb. Loads of great restaurants metres from the hotel, but all I wanted to do was sit on the balcony and watch time pass by so I had room service the two nights I was there. Food was superb, albeit the first night it took 1 and a half hours for it to arrive after 30 mins was quoted (some lame excuse about taking the wrong room number down - whatever) but to their credit they did not charge me for that meal without me even having to ask for a refund. No issues the next night. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds that I have had in a very long time. One issue, cockroaches, I counted 4 whilst I was sitting on the balcony coming up from below (restaurants) and one got into the room which I managed to catch and put back outside. It is quite noisy on the balcony and with the door open, but as soon as you shut the door you cannot hear a noise from outside when in bed. Am going to go back!

Great location harbor view to kill for a few minutes walk to ferries, light rail , trains and buses plenty of other restaurants close by including a 24 hour restaurant ,if hotels own popular restaurants don’t suit opera house a few minutes away. Accommodation very clean friendly staff and obliging ,complete kitchen dishwasher washing machine and clothes dryer included

Average but great location

We selected this hotel specifically for NYE in Sydney. For that aspect it was fantastic. Great location to take ferries or walk to the Opera House or the Rocks. We dined at Q dining for NYE and would not recommend it. The food was average and the views of the harbor for fireworks are obstructed. All the guests went to the street to watch so was an expensive dinner with average food. I emailed several times before our stay and reservation responses took days and there is basically no concierge help. I asked many questions relating to NYE and no one knew answers before or during our stay. It turns out all you needed to do was go outside front entrance and could walk down Macqaurie street and see the fireworks great. If someone had told us that we would not have booked Q dining for $400 a person The hotel itself is very dated with old rooms and terrible showers. The water would frequently shift between hot and cold. The size of the rooms and location only make with worthwhile

Ideal spot for in Circular Quay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Not the flashiest (or newest) hotel but the location and facilities (in-room laundry and kitchen) make this a perfect spot for a relaxing, no-fuss stay where a bit more independence is required. We had a stunning view over Circular Quay and a large sunny balcony. Staff were efficient and friendly.
