This is a wonderful hotel - quietly situated and although quite large it never felt busy. there is a beautifully kept aviary, an aquarium and a wonderful art collection. This is in addition to gorgeous rooms, excellent food and very helpful staff. The beds are really comfortable too. The pools and spa areas are very relaxing. The surrounding gardens were well cant and we can't wait to return.

Currently enjoying a stay at an exceptional five-star hotel, featuring valet parking upon arrival and porter service to the room. We are residing in a spa view room, where the shower is situated within the bathtub—this may pose a challenge for individuals with mobility issues, but it has not been an issue for us. While celebrating my 60th birthday here, we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of cava and a birthday cake in our room at the end of the day. Contrary to some reviews, the rooms are not dated; they are, in fact, quite exquisite and are provided with a daily turn-down service. The resort is lovely, and the hotel is impeccable. We highly recommend this experience. Enjoy your stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, on arrival we were greeted to take our bags etc. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. The WiFi is unreliable and we had issues the first evening to be able to stream by daughters program before bed. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that my children would not be allowed in the indoor pool as it is for 16 years plus. This was very disappointing as it was the main reason for booking the hotel. We were then told that the kids club is closed for the week. Again we chose the hotel because the kids club sounded great and it mentioned it went on excursions etc. the restaurant by the pool is hit and miss depending on staff. One day it took 3 hours to get our lunch after them bringing the order out wrong twice- with no apology. We also had to go round chasing staff to be able to order drinks by the pool (not 5* standard). We had friends staying near by and they came over for drinks on our terrace etc. I then was called by the hotel to say that we had left the room a mess and would have to pay for additional cleaning. I was shocked by they as we had tidied up every day. They said that they thought we had extra people staying in our room because we left blankets on the sofa. But we had been watching movies in pjs under the blankets. No one had stayed or slept on the sofa! I asked for the manager to come and speak to me. But they said she was in a meeting. I called back later and they said she had already left and I would have to wait until the next day. It is extremely rude to accuse us of something we have not done - and with no evidence. I said to the lady on the phone to check the cameras as that will prove that our friends left and did not sleep here. Why would they want to sleep on a sofa when they have their own place nearby. The pool is very cold and the children could not last in it. So with them not allowed in the indoor pool and the outdoor pool being too cold/ it did put a dampner on the whole holiday.

The spa experience is the finest! The ambience is beautiful… I enjoyed watching the birds whilst having breakfast The only problem I encountered… there are not many good veg or vegan options in the breakfast compared to the other 5 star hotels.

Considering that this hotel presents itself as a 5 star, my experience was somewhat disappointing. The decor is very dated and the services offered (and the quality of those) is far from what you would expect. The rooms are not modernised, the bathrooms have no showers. The breakfast buffet is a bit of a mixed experience, with some lovely food and some not so nice options. The hotel has very poor awareness of allergens and food intolerances and even when asked specifically about ingredients/other options available the outcomes differed depending on the day and the person I was talking to. The shuttle service is a nice gesture, but far from adequate, with only 8 departures per day. It's not a bad hotel, and the staff members were really trying to accommodate my requests and make the stay pleasant, but considering the price, it is just not worth it.
