I had a simply lovely stay here last year (late September 2023). I booked a sea view room (5th floor) and it was lovely. However, the room was somewhat awkwardly arranged. It would have been difficult for two people to navigate, but as I was traveling alone, this was not a problem. The breakfast room was delightful and the buffet options more than plentiful. My ONLY complaint was that the tub/shower combo was super slippery, but upon request I was provided with a non-skid mat for the floor of the tub. I had an extremely pleasant stay here and, if ever in Trieste again, I would be happy to return.

We loved the beautiful Savoia Excelsior! We splurged on a Junior Suite overlooking the beautiful Bay of Trieste (complete with small balcony), and it was a welcoming oasis after long hours of touring. Interiors are all updated, but it was fun to imagine it 100+years ago, too. Staff was very accommodating, and special mention should be made of the helpful concierge, who gave us the best restaurant recommendations we could have received. We opted for taking advantage of the breakfast buffet each morning (about 25 euros per person), which seemed to offer something for everybody. Lovely furnishings, very comfortable bed, everything exceptionally clean. Also quiet! Memorable stay. Note: if you can make paid reservations in advance (we made ours 5 months prior to our stay), much better prices are available for larger rooms.

A very well appointed luxury hotel in a great position. Friendly and professional staff too. Great bed and quality bedding. We only stayed one night which is a shame. Would like to return. And definitely will recommend. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

An impressive, beautiful hotel in the grand style. Excellent service from the Front Desk & Concierge, spacious lounges & great seafront location. Directly across the road from the Liner Passenger Terminal & we enjoyed watching all the activities. Very close to the beautiful Piazza & canal. Easy walk to many of the fascinating & beautiful historical sights of Trieste. Superb breakfast. We dined at the hotel but very service was slow that evening.
