What truly stood out was the staff’s dedication (Mr. Rishi) to making our stay special as it was our honeymoon. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We truly appreciated their kindness and professionalism. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, luxurious, and memorable experience. We can’t wait to visit again!

An exceptional luxury hotel in the heart of Rajasthan, India. Having struggled a little with the late December/early January weather, the sunshine and warmth at the Devigarh was a welcome tonic. A chance to completely relax and recharge during a hectic 3 week adventure across Rajasthan. one highlight was our bicycle and hiking trip up to the local temple on the hilltop a few kilometres away. The trip itself was fun and interesting and the view and the temple experience from the top made the excursion one of the holiday highlights. We were lucky enough to be there for one of the two daily ceremonies and played our part in it. A wonderful memory.

We highly recommend the RAAS property if you want to have one of the best holiday experiences, enjoy Udaipur city tour, but with the calmness and quite of the Aravalli ranges. We celebrates a mini moon at RAAS Devigarh and we cant wait to be back. The service, the food, the stay, the view, the 17th century palace - the very best. Thank you to the RAAS team for a truly-luxury experience. A personal thank you to the team - Rishi, Subhash, Puja, and the entire team.

We returned to Devigarh after 18 years with our teenagers, having come here on our honeymoon. The hotel is still magical and stunning. It is set up in a hill away from Udaipur and is an oasis of calm and luxury. The hotel is a beautifully restored Fort Palace. The rooms were gorgeous and we had a special Christmas Eve dinner. The food and service for lunch and dinner were amazing. You can eat in the main restaurants or have special dinner organised in part of the hotel just for you. The hotel can organise local walking tour of the village nearby and temples which we highly recommend and our guide Dinesh was great. The pool area is a great place to relax and we spent a day just at the hotel after 2 weeks of touring. We look forward to coming back again for our third visit soon!

My husband and I were very excited to spend our honeymoon at the Devingarh property. We stayed over Christmas, however, our experience of the RAAS group was deeply disappointing. This review regards the management team and their customer service ethos, which is one of the poorest we’ve ever experienced. Their gross incompetence and lack of respect for the issues that constantly arose consistently shocked us. 1. Don’t fall for the ‘Hopper’ promotion. The prices are baked heavily into the ‘deal’ and you will be better served paying a la carte. This hotel group is always looking for more ways to pull more money out of you. 2. We booked an ‘Intercity’ transfer from Udaipur to Jaipur and we were taken to the wrong hotel despite countless emails and reminders of the correct location. As a result of their profound incompetence, we spent over 10 hours on the road versus 6.5. We lost a whole day of our trip and we were treated horrifically throughout the ordeal. This last problem was particularly egregious and rather than remedy the issue as any reputable luxury hotel would do, they constantly harassed us via e-mail and even threatened the police on us if we did not pay for the mistake THEY made. Again, after twenty years of travel around the world, we’ve never seen anything like it. They are poorly trained and lack the ability to problem solve. Their care for their guests is egregious and we would highly recommend staying somewhere where your patronage will be valued. We’ve stayed in many hotels in India before RAAS and after and even ‘3 star’ locations had a higher sense of service and grace. This is a new hotel group with a lot to learn. TLDR; The solve to our issues were simple, however, they consistently chose the more difficult and cheap route. This is not a gracious hotel group and we’re currently in the process of contacting our peers at Lonely Planet.
