Bringing the flavor of traditional Europe to one of North America's most beautiful cities, The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver, in British Columbia's elegant main metropolis, has perfected the fine art of attention to detail. From the signature river stone massage offered in Le Spa to downtown limousine service and luxuriously appointed accommodations, no need is too small and no request goes unfulfilled. No wonder Fodor's described it as offering the ambience of "an exclusive European guest house."

We were in town for the Taylor Swift concert. While the hotel was highly priced (as were all the hotels for the concert) they embraced the vibe of the weekend. Welcome bags and dedicated room for concert goers. And also a perfect location.if going to Vancouver this is a wonderful location and very safe.

Check in - quick, friendly and efficient Room - large, well laid out and comfortable Bed - very comfortable and good quality linens Shower - you need a phD in showerology to figure it out but all good Reason for lack of five stars is breakfast which was just plain poor - buffet is $38 and contains dried out eggs that were cold and greasy bacon that had been there for hours - seriously unimpressed. Fruit was dried out as were muffins. I was in no rush and there for 30 mins or more and saw nothing on the buffet refreshed - very poor. Management drop in near the end of a service and see what I mean. Offensive cost and simply awful breakfast Rob

A luxurious stay in Vancouver! Palatial lobby area, plenty of comfortable seating while awaiting ubers etc. Plush carpet in room, very clean and spacious. Comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of bench space in bathroom, complimentary toiletries and space in wardrobe. Tastefully decorated. Pool area in a bit of a rabbit warren - asked for directions and saw other patrons become lost too. Pool all at one level, great for gentle exercise after spa. Day spa staff welcoming and provide great massages! Question the professionalism of some housekeeping. Shortly upon arrival while relaxing in the room all of a sudden the room door opened and housekeeping walked right in, no knock on the door or announcement of arrival. They stated they checking the room and promptly left. I ensured the door was locked internally from then on. The next day when heading out I was approached by housekeeping en route to the lift to ask what needed to be "done" in my room, did the rubbish need taking out? I explained that the daily service included in my stay would be appreciated. I didn't think it was my role in such a luxurious hotel to state what this included but elaborated and requested disposable of rubbish, bed made etc. Tea and disposable cup supply was not replenished during 4-night stay. A great location, plenty of restaurants nearby and conveniently located near a fantastic IGA grocery store.

And interesting experience. Upon check-in, our party of 5 individuals was asked for a $600 deposit per day for everyone. I travel to Vancouver frequently and have stayed at the Pinnacle, Pan Pacific, the Wall Center, Westin Bayshore, the Hyatt, etc..... NEVER have I had a daily deposit requested, nor was this states when the rooms were booked. While the suite is visibly appeasing, a closer look shows a worn interior. The light fixtures in the bathroom are rusted, the wallpaper in the kitchen is peeling, and the cupboards are beat up. The pool is a journey. I wondered if that was where my documentary was going to begin. It's definitely not worth the price tag.

Exterior is nothing special but interior is beautiful and old world, well maintained and clean. Rooms are small but nice. Lots of sirens from nearby hospital but quiet other than that. My big complaint is the mini fridge is not usable for guests. It’s full of lousy unhealthy selections and no room for anything I brought or meal leftovers. If you remove their fridge offerings to make room for your own items, you are electronically charged and have to correct it with the front desk. It bothered me so much, it would be a factor in my staying there again as eating healthy and having some options in the room is important to me.

We stayed 5 nights at the Sutton Place Vancouver. The suite was very nice and the staff very professional. Spa treatments were very good. Afternoon tea, which was included in the package, was wonderful. Although we typically do not eat at hotel restaurants, the package included dinner and it too was excellent. It doesn’t get much better than Sutton Place.
