AKA White House

AKA Whitehouse is a nice Apartahotel building. What i mean is that even if there is a front desk and a bar (with limited hours), the property is made of apartments with a kitchen (full), living room, and bedroom. It can be a nice option if you (i) do not breakfast service or you can cook it yourself; and (ii) are willing to travel with some minimal provisions or you are willing to buy stuff nearby. The place is located near the White House, World Bank and IMF so that can work. And the property is very well maintained. But of would help if they provided some minimal provisions such as coffee, sugar, etc. Also, be ready to do your bed!

The AKA Whitehouse is an excellent hotel, close to its famous namesake and the quality of the accommodation and staff is exceptional. You have to be aware that the local area is a business community and that reflects in the nature and provision of local stores and services. The only negative we had was that the hotel provided a drip coffee machine but we couldn’t find paper filters in any local store. The only way the hotel could be bettered would be a small welcome pack of provisions for the weary travelers.

It was a great experience. Staff is excellent, always read to support us at any time. The apartment makes you feel like home, have a kitchen, washing machine... The place is greatly located, super clean and safe. I would recommend if you intend to go to DC.

Booking the stay at AKA White House was a GREAT decision. it is 2 blocks away from the White House. My first day I easily walked to all the monuments and took a scooter down to the Capital. Check in was a breeze and Miles was so friendly and helpful as it was my first time in DC. HOLY COW was the suite amazing, CLEAN, and perfectly decorated and full of amenities. Janae at the front desk greeted me with a smile each time I came back in and the entryway smelled fantastic. It was a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the sidewalks outside. Did I mention the whole place was CLEAN? Highly recommend the AKA White House, whether it is a short or long stay.

Great hotel with beautiful apartment-style suites. Loved the full kitchen and laundry machines. Lobby was gorgeous. Very helpful staff. Would absolutely stay again, especially considering the price and location close to everything.
