Like the rainbow-hued houses in Curaçao's UNESCO World Heritage site capital, Baoase Luxury Resort embraces color in its five-star villas and rooms. Rich wood and jewel-toned accents make the transition from the king-sized bedroom to an airy patio surrounded by lush botanical gardens, creating a sense of peaceful continuity.

We spent seven nights in the Superior Beachfront Pool Suite. The suite and resort were exceptional, the team very attentive and the food was out of this world. There was some construction going on that we were unaware of, which complicated things a bit, but the manager France and her team helped us work things out immediately. Shout out to Lisa, Kay and Melvin for their exceptional service! If you are looking for a true high end boutique resort with great service and out of this world food, we highly recommend Baoase for your next vacation. We’ll definitely be going back!

I have very little to add that hasn’t already been said- Baoase deserves all the recognition it has received. My husband and I stayed for 4 nights for our honeymoon. This is truly a luxury resort where the staff waits on you hand and foot. We found the staff to be warm, friendly, and helpful. They gave great recommendations and helped with everything from a car rentals to dinner reservations. Some great things I wanted to mention that were not in recent reviews: - The quiet, private beach is UNMATCHED. The ample plush lounge chairs, beach service, soft beach towels, and cabanas were exceptional. My husband and I snorkeled around the lagoon every day we were there and saw a TON of wildlife. -The all inclusive is probably worth it- I wish we had done it. The Fruits de Mer dinner is not to be missed!!! The food and drinks are exceptional for a resort, and it was so nice to have access to a menu and bar at all hours of the day. This is a resort that you can stay at for your entire trip if you wanted to. It is such a beautiful country and culture though- please explore the island!!!! - We did the West Side Snorkel Tour (I wish I remembered the guides name!! I feel terrible) and it was excellent. He was funny, taught us so much about the island’s history, and somehow managed to avoid large tourist groups as we beach hopped. Along the way he treated us to delicious local treats (arepitas, fresh coconuts, banana cake). It was a great way for us to see many of the popular sights. A couple of cons, but both minor- My husband was frustrated that our honeymoon suite was over the bar and we had a generator or some kind of AC unit constantly running and exhausting on our patio. Next time we would stay in one of the larger rooms or villas. I surprised to see many children at the resort- it didn’t necessarily affect our experience but there was definitely children running around on the beach. We didn’t appreciate that it wasn’t a couples-only resort but that won’t deter us from rebooking. It would be hard to go back to Curacao and not stay at Baoase. It was an unforgettable luxury experience!!!!!

My stay at Baoase Luxury Resort in Curaçao was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm team of friendly hosts who made us feel at home. The lush landscaping surrounding the property creates a tranquil and enchanting atmosphere. The main beach was pristine, offering the perfect relaxing spot to soak up the warm weather. The staff was consistently charming and attentive, making our stay feel both welcoming and pampered. Our Superior Beachfront Pool Suite was impeccably designed, seamlessly blending luxury and comfort, with thoughtful touches like daily turn-down service adding to the experience. However, one significant drawback was the view from our villa. Although we booked the Superior Beachfront Pool Suite, advertised as offering privacy, a private plunge pool, and a small private beach, our expectations were impacted by construction. We were notified eight days before arrival about the construction, but upon arriving, we realized the view from our villa faced an active construction site with workers, which compromised our privacy. The manager, Franco, was invaluable in addressing our concerns and made a sincere effort to find alternative accommodations, though the resort was fully booked. We really appreciate the discount provided as compensation, but the experience left room for improvement. Additionally, consistency in housekeeping could have been improved. On some days, housekeeping came automatically; on others, we had to request it, and one day it was done at bedtime. The mini-bar was also not refilled, and while we didn’t request replenishment, this seemed inconsistent with the level of service expected. These minor lapses, while not major, could be areas for enhancement. That said, the overall experience at Baoase was elevated by the genuinely friendly staff and the world-class food. Every meal we enjoyed was exquisite, comparable to dining experiences from top chefs worldwide. Despite the setbacks, I would recommend this property, albeit with caution regarding potential construction disruptions.

Most spectacular place. The absolute best service. Island is safe and beautiful. Resort is amazing. Staff is beyond amazing. They can plan excursions for you but the resort is so amazing it’s hard to leave. Every room is amazing. Highly recommend.

We visited Baoase for a 50th birthday getaway and were super impressed! The attention to detail at the ultra private oasis was unbelievable. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the kindness of the staff was a perfect ten. Above all- the food was the shining star! Many resorts can do customer service, sunsets and beaches well but the cuisine at Baoase was a culinary adventure. Michelin Star level! I am still dreaming about the hamachi ceviche appetizer and the truffle ravioli with cauliflower, spinach and beurre blanc. Incredible! Be sure to plan your stay to include a Saturday night when they serve the Fruits de Mere menu complete with a fantastic vocalist for the perfect gourmet dinner on the beach. The water was warm and refreshing and the beach butlers were surprising us with ice cold popsicles and coconut custard in the morning and chilled shrimp or teriyaki beef bites in the afternoon. We brought our 15 year old daughter with us who may have been bored at a boutique resort this small until we stumbled upon the most beautiful oceanside turf field right next to the resort. Look for Chops- a Curacao ALL STAR who opened the field for her to practice lacrosse and showed us such kindness. Most villas feature a large outdoor kitchen and living area with the inside space representing a traditional Dutch style minimalistic design. If I had one complaint, I do not love a spiral staircase and was happy to have the room downstairs. If you are only traveling with your partner, check out the beachfront pool suites. If you are looking for a spa retreat, this resort only offers a massage hut on the beach. The massage was lovely but an expansion of the gym to include more spa services would be a plus. I am not typically someone who returns to a resort twice but in this case, it's the food and the hospitality that will bring me back to Baoase! Special shout out to Jorn who runs the resort with style and personality, Melvin who should be the leading man in movie version of the resort, Luuk, Maartje, Amily, Mikky, Mickey, Shante, Frederique, Isis, and every member of the culinary team - you made this trip so special!
