I loved staying at Kingsmill. I had a one bedroom unit that was spacious and stylish. I brought my dog and she Lou ged all day on the couch. The location can’t be beat for getting everywhere in Williamsburg. Alton at registration was very helpful.

Did not live up to expectations at all. It is advertised as a refined golf resort, but falls well short. We stayed there in the summer time to be close to Busch gardens. It is really the only reason to stay here. Although, there isn't even a shuttle to the park, you need to find (and pay) your own transportation. It is almost impossible to get the front desk, they encourage you to text with requests or questions. Many of the responses are auto generated and inaccurate. We had texted to confirm dinner location hours only to show up and find they were closed - and there was no where else to go. They do not do any room service (only with an unclear upcharge) - and discouraged even that. Daily, we had to request toilet paper, coffee and to empty the garbage. This is not the way a "five star" resort should operate. Further, when we checked in, we had a ground level room with a nice little deck. It was nice except for all the garbage spread all around the back area. Had to reach out to front desk for them to come clean it up. Just not well maintained. The bike rentals and pickleball were fun, but close way too early, especially in summer. but The outdoor pool and lazy river was nice... But it doesn't make up for all the other shortcomings at the Kings Mill Resort. If I decided to go back to Williamsburg, I would stay elsewhere.

My husband and I went to get couples massages. The staff (Crystal McNeely) was very attentive and polite. She made sure we had proper fitting shoes and robes which was a big deal for us because when we went 2 years ago the staff didn’t care if the items fit. Our masseuses (Christine and Rebecka) were great at targeting problem areas and adjusting pressure as needed.

Stayed here with family for the weekend in one of their 2 BR condos. The computer system was down when we arrived. Lines were very long going out the door. Only 2 people working check-in. Couldnt find my reservation because of computers down. I showed them my res and she wrote it down and took it in back and said they will call when they find my res. I asked how long, 15 mins, hr, what? She said she didnt know and honestly she had a terrible attitude and I think was just over it with the systems being down. So we sat in our car for about 2.5 hrs waiting and checked back in a few times with no luck. Then we get in room and there is a massive spider on the living room TV with a huge web going across it. Room was a little dirty too. Then we were in for like 30 minutes and a maintenance worker showed up saying he wanted to do repairs and we said no. I was pouring that day too and everyone was parked out front waiting instead of in the lot and they had the gall to start blocking off areas of the curb with barriers so we couldnt park there any more. I never received a call to check in or apologize. They could have offered drink tickets for the bar while we waited, something? They did NOTHING. Just a complete lack of effort for this 4 start place? How is this 4 star? The service is horrendous, condos outdated and prices are way out of line.

My family of eight enjoyed the cottages! Plenty of space and right on the James River. All staff were wonderful. This was a wonderful experience. Food was good to and reasonably priced. Not sure what negative reviews were about. I am writing so others do not skip this family destination.

Super Super Super service from the staff members we encountered. This is what brings us back twice a year. We LOVE the service.

My family and I recently returned from a 5 night stay at Kingsmill Resort. Our experience was terrific. The resort offered great tennis, golf, fishing, etc. -- so much to do even with a day or two at Colonial Williamsburg and the parks, that we were tempted to stay an extra day... I would recommend this resort without qualification to friends, family and to my company for sales meetings.
