The Grand York

We had a fantastic experience at The Grand. Nothing was too much trouble for Beth & Amelia- with a warm welcome & a quick check in. The room was fantastic as was the hotel. The evening meal in the restaurant was lovely would recommend the lobster. The Christmas decorations were stunning!!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as a post Christmas getaway. The hotel is stunning, but it is absolutely the staff that makes this place amazing. As soon as pulled up the doorman was introducing himself, helping us with out luggage and generally being really helpful. The front of house team were amazing, and we dined at The Legacy, which was just WOW. Incredible food, wine and service. We loved it. The room was spacious and bed, pillows etc. cosy. There were some cracked floor tiles in the bathroom, but it didn't detract from the stay. One suggestion, maybe try and get Netflix on your TVs, as we would have liked to watch that while we were there - but again, just a small suggestion. The spa, although small, was great and staff friendly. The location is brilliant as well, as everything is about a 10 to 15 minute away. Brilliant stay and would high recommend. We'll definitely be back!

We are actually staying at the Grand at the moment. We’ve stayed here a few times before and it’s another fantastic stay. The staff , the hotel , the food and the rooms in fact everything!!! From the moment you enter the hotel you really are treated like royalty. Nothing is too much, the evening meal last night was amazing and I’m sure tonight’s will be. All I can say is if in York it’s the place to stay

From the moment we entered the hotel we experienced the highest quality in every department. The ambience of the hotel, our room, the bar, the restaurant, the spa, the Rise, all exceeded our expectations. Throughout the staff were attentive, friendly and caring. A wonderful place to celebrate my wife's 80th birthday. Our first visit - but not our last. Thank you all for making us feel special on this special occasion.

A beautiful hotel. Rooms were spacious and immaculate and every member of staff we met were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel is in a fantastic location for the city centre and railway and bus station are close by. Breakfast was delicious and there was a vast array to choose from, there were gluten free options such as cereal and muffins on the breakfast buffet. We ordered room service and the food was delicious and the server was polite and courteous. Prices were as expected for 5* city centre hotel. The only regret we had was that we didn’t stay longer.
