In a historic New England town, residents and guests alike are celebrating the 125th anniversary of Deerfield Inn. Marked by an unobtrusive shingle dangling above Old Main Street, this charming retreat is in the quaint village of Deerfield, a Massachusetts town dating back to the 17th century. The lovely inn features two dozen distinctively different rooms, all equipped with private baths, a cache of antiques and walls papered in timeless patterns. Guests can visit with one another in the public rooms or over a delicious daily breakfast. Champney's, the inn's restaurant, offers an extensive wine list and 101 varieties of martinis, and serves dinner seven nights a week.

Now that I've just read other reviews from travelers who have been robbed, my experiences make more sense. On a previous visit over the summer I came in on a Fridsy p.m. and per the sign expected housekeeping after 3 days. The next morning, i went to do laundry in the am and housekeeping entered my room and turned the security cam OFF!! Then proceeded to ....?? Clean? I don't think there was a perm manager at that time but snarky desk staff told me they would escalate my "concern". During my current stay in Sept2024 there seems to be a new crew of staff including one man who seems his job is to creep up on guests making rude noises. I've never felt this uncomfortable in a hotel in my life. Recently while i was out shopping, i returned from to see that someone had been in my room. I think what's happening is they're confirming i was out. I went to the desk and let them know what happened and if like to speak to the manager. When I returned to my room, I was locked out. It's nice that on top of being rude, the desk woman was spiteful when a guest complained. Many of the rooms are older and have key issues, but I have to say they've kept the room clean and except for the few who spend their time spying on guests, there are many housekeepers that seem to work harder than many of these low-budget hotels. There is one man working with them that also seems good, not to be confused with the creeper. I also have to say there is one person, I think Jen, that works days and is professional, competent, and seems to treat all guests well. Another person who works at night has also been great, forget her name. Lots of state or town work crews, which is fine since they generally aren't noisy late during the week. But if you're a solo female traveler, you'll know of course there's always the few that think since there with their buddies this is some type of bar environment and act accordingly. If management continues to ignore treating non-contract guests as less-than, and not addressing their concerns as they arise, the property will continue decline in reputation and value.

Red roof inn is truly legit motel. Rooms are very nice all the staff are amazing. They actually go out of their way to insure your stay here is perfect. Also, there pet friendly is truly pet friendly. We've met a lot of people with their fur babies, our Rottie will miss this motel. He as well met his dog friends. I need to mention there is one staff at the lobby that was very friendly very kind and very helpful. Jamie is one of the finest manager we've came across. We travel a lot, and this manager and house keeping and clean and well designed rooms make your stay very comfortable. We will return here. It truly is a welcoming motel. Check it out, you won't want to leave.

Don’t come here. There were hairballs the size of rats on the floor, used soap in the shower, no ice in the ice maker, outlets didn’t work, floor was dirty and disgusting, very little shampoo and conditioner (one 2in1 mini tube), the pill had been broken for 7 months, and smells bad. Don’t go barefoot. I went no shoes bc why not and the dirt was like glue and stained my shoes and didn’t come off when I tried to clean them. Was definitely not worth the $300 dollars a night

Zero room service during 3 day stay. Bathroom fan broken, room humid, musty smell, pool unavailable and not due to be fixed per staff. No working washing machines, no clean sheets per manager but rooms still to be made. (With dirty sheets?) Manager at front desk did not acknowledge my presence at front counter but continued to discuss with staff need to make up rooms with no clean linens.

Do not stay here. We went for a concert 5 minutes away only to come back to our room and our neighbors room broken into and all of our belongings stolen. We called the police and they said they are called here all the time for this. It must have been someone who works there because the only way inside is with a keycard. Messaged the corporate office asking for a resolution and they just said they aren’t responsible. STAY AWAY
