Among the charming art galleries and rustic silver shops of Santa Fe, New Mexico is a retreat that can only be considered a work of art itself - Inn on the Alameda. With less than 100 rooms, guests receive personal attention from arrival to departure, enjoying peaceful slumbers in rooms outfitted with kiva fireplaces, private balconies and Talavera tile accents. Centrally located but still tucked away behind thick adobe walls, the inn is an oasis of serenity filled with xeriscaped gardens, and courtyards and patios suitable for lounging. A wondrous buffet of breakfast specialties is presented each morning, and late afternoons are abuzz with the sound of uncorking wine bottles while an arrangement of artisan cheeses are readied for the daily gathering of guests.

Wouldn't change a thing. Has personality and character. Staff makes a strong effort to know you and tell you info regarding Sante Fe to make your stay even better! Awesome breakfast buffet and I am a very picky eater. Walking distance to the plaza. Bed lines are high quality and comfy pillows. I have stayed at other very high quality hotels in Sante Fe, but the personal touch here is the very best! I would not change a thing! Perfect. Sheila

We arrived on November 3rd with another couple. This trip was to attend the Albuquerque Balloon festival, tour the sights of Santa Fe and the surrounding area. This hotel is a gem. Extremely friendly staff willing to meet your needs, fantastic hotel accommodations and a great location within Santa Fe. Rooms well appointed, restaurant/bar cozy and friendly. Our rate included a breakfast buffet which comprised of almost anything you would desire. The Inn is within a short ten-minute walk of downtown Santa Fe. Fabulous location with a reasonable price. As mentioned, the staff were amazing and willing to meet your needs. One person in particular stands out. Robert Morrison in Joe’s Tequila bar. We asked him several questions regarding the Balloon festival as this was our first visit. Robert spent at least 10 -15 minutes to answer everything. His answers and advice upgraded our Ballon festival experience from ordinary to extraordinary. Topics included departure time, where to catch the bus, route to the bus and where to go within the venue to experience the festival.

Cozy, inviting, welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful space, we loved the spa. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They serve a GREAT breakfast (Enchiladas on Saturdays!). Very convenient to downtown Santa Fe, walking distance to Canyon Rd and downtown. Highly recommended!

I will talk about the reason I didn't give the hotel a "5" first. We stayed in the building connected to the lobby and restaurant on the second floor. There were only 4 rooms per floor. The second night there was a family with children that shared a wall with us. The sound proofing was poor and we felt vibrations each time the children ran and jumped. Otherwise the room had everything we needed and met our expectations. Now for the good. The location was great and we walked to Santa Fe Plaza easily. The free parking and breakfast are a bonus. Most of all, the staff we interacted with, from check-in to the restaurant, were all extremely professional and pleasant. I believe a property is doing something right when the staff appear happy to be there.

This was our first trip to Santa Fe. Reviewing hotels online before the trip, it was difficult to distinguish between hotels. We were so fortunate to have selected the Inn on the Alameda. Location? Fantastic! Across the street is a mini river park with picnic spots, beyond that cool art galleries with sculptures outdoors which was great for a morning walk. Loads of restaurants were only a few blocks away and when we were tired from a day of activity, we at onsite at Joe's Tequila Bar - great food and cocktails. The hotel itself was wonderful. Our room was large with a gas fireplace. Nice to have the ambience of a fireplace with the ease of flipping a switch. The bed was so comfy with nice crisp sheets that satisfied this sheet snob. The in-room mini-fridge kept our drinks really cold. One small touch that I appreciated was that there were two robes in the room. Too often we find only one robe when we travel in spite of booking as a couple. Be sure to take advantage of breakfast! There was such a variety! The buffet was kept well stocked and the food hot. You can eat your breakfast in the restaurant or in the library area. If you are really lucky, you can score a seat in front of one of the two real fireplaces. Finally, Reyes and Irma were wonderful breakfast hosts providing a warm welcome and great start for each day.
