Go here!!! Best fishing experience period! Top notch everything. You will not be disappointed and you will come home with lots of fish!!! Comfy beds, very nice accommodations, awesome captains and crew, great food, hot showers, good wifi, insane location, yummy food, and killer fishing!!!

We arrived in Kodiak two days prior to our stay at the resort to explore Kodiak. This allowed us to do some hiking on the beautiful trails and give us a buffer for flying to the resort because in Alaska the weather is unpredictable. I would recommend at least a day before and day after in Kodiak before heading to and from the resort. When my husband and I arrived at Island air taxi for our flight to the resort the co-owner Heath took the time to find us and greet us as he had also been flying in at the same time. Amazing first impression. Everything was above and beyond in service to their guests. The lodge is beautiful. Erika works incredibly hard to make sure every need is met. She is a gem! The food by Chef Brian was outstanding and looked like a work of art on each plate that was put in front of us. The appetizers he made each night were amazing and appreciated after a day of fishing. Captain Mike kept us on the fish. My husband and I at times could hardly get our line out before we had "fish on". Heath and Amanda came fishing with us and it was so much fun. The gear they provide for fishing is top notch. Heath was hands on and experienced , I learned a lot from listening to him while he helped our deck hand Chis. We came home with 100 pounds of fish. We saw whales, otters, sea lions and other wildlife each day. I read a bad review and wondered was this person at the same resort? No way! The owners set high standards and safety for their guests to make sure your trip is first class from beginning to end.

Last year seemed like things were running a bit smoother. Fishing was great if you love cod. Which we do, so no worries. Website just makes a lot of empty promises. Have had fun there in the past, but won’t be back. Also was horrified to see the lack of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Yikes.

What an amazing experience from start to finish! This lodge is beautifully renovated and well maintained inside out. Erika and the lodge staff provided exceptional service. We caught plenty of fish, spotted whales, and tons of other wildlife. Chef Brian did an amazing job with the unique dishes and appetizers every day -the Orange Popsicle dessert caught me off guard and was absolutely delicious. Captain Bobby and boat crew made it so easy and fun to fish. Truly a complete and well organized adventure. The owners Bob & Heath have truly assembled the "A" team when it comes to all the lodge staff, fishing crew. First class experience all the way. Thank you KI resort team!

Having just returned from the Kodiak Island Resort in Larsen Bay, I have to say that it was an incredible experience! The life-long Alaskan owner, Bob, uses his local expertise to set the tone for an exceptional experience. The guided fishing trips were amazing, with top-notch boats, experienced captains & deckhands, taking us to the best fishing spots to catch halibut, crab, and rockfish, and ensuring that we had a great time. The lodge manager, Erika, ensured that our every need was met, which added a personal touch to our stay. The meals are well planned and delicious. Whether you're an avid angler or simply seeking a memorable Alaska adventure, this is the perfect destination!
