Ohla Eixample

I do not often write reviews on hotels. Usually they have pluses but also minuses so there seems little point to point them out. Ohla Eixample is the exception that proves the rule. Before we arrived we received a message from the guest support team asking what our plans were. We were en route to India a belated 70th birthday celebration and planned a couple of days exploring Barcelona. We were then asked to completed a form stating what type of pillows, sheets and fragrances! A congenial arrival, having checked in on line. In our room was a complimentary bottle of cava and a personalized note welcoming us. Now the important part, we have never stayed in a room so quiet. The bed was mega comfy. The staff throughout the hotel from the chambermaids to the doormen to the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. Often enquiring as to how we were and what we were going to do. An outstanding hotel with the highest of standards.

We stayed at the Ohla Eixample at the end of October for 3 nights for my husbands 40th birthday, I had looked at a lot of reviews of different hotels beforehand and can honestly say I made the best choice! The hotel is beautiful, classy, clean, and the staff can’t do enough for you. We stayed in the attic room and the bed was comfy, lots of space and lovely balcony view. We had breakfast each morning which was great, and the cocktails in the bar were delicious! I emailed the hotel beforehand to ask for balloons and wine for our arrival in the room and they were very helpful. The hotel is in a nice safe feeling area, and we were able to walk to everything - Sagrada familia, casa battlo, cathedral, fountain etc. If you do choose this hotel, a couple of recommendations nearby - for cocktails Tandem cocktail bar is a 15 minute walk, great drinks and cosy atmosphere. Micu Maku again a short walk and the best paella! We had the most amazing time in Barcelona, our first trip away without our children in 10 years and Ohla Eixample made it all the more special! Book, you won’t be disappointed.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, the room was spotlessly clean and quiet and the beds were really comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Zak was absolutely amazing in provided the highest quality of customer service possible. He was helpful with our belongings getting us checked in a bit earlier when we arrived. He showed us around the hotel and gave us tips and trick in exploring the city. The entire staff was absolutely delightful. This hotel is immaculate in cleanliness and the rooftop bar is phenomenal. The breakfast and restaurant food was top notch. We will definitely be staying here again on our next Barcelona trip. This hotel is also near so many attractions like the gothic quarter and Las Ramblas.
