The St. Regis Beijing

A grand and old hotel. Check in was good and they kindly provided an upgrade for my Ambassador status The suite was large and showing its age. My colleagues complained of non functioning switches but mine were fine Breakfast was ok and i wrote a seperate review Gym and pool were medium sized and shared with the service apartments attached. They claim they have a natural hot spring but probably artificial Good location in the chaoyang area 7/10

We recently stayed at the St Regis for a couple of nights and it was amazing. The room was very clean and very cozy. The hotel details were top notch and all the public areas created an amazing atmosphere. What stood out the most was the service of all the hotel staff. Mandy was truly amazing. She helped us out so much and was ready to help with whatever we needed. Jay at the reception was very warm and welcoming. Gladys and Eva at the restaurant were very friendly and loved seeing them in the morning. The butler service was very nice, you can have warm tea or coffee whenever you want sent to your room. Very tasty and had a wonderful stay! Thank you to everyone at the st.regis it was an amazing couple of nights. Highly recommend staying here and we were extremely satisfied with our stay!

I was surprised to discover that this hotel has been operating for almost 30 years. Despite its age, it is well managed and maintained. The breakfast spread is satisfactory. Evening cocktails are served in the business centre on the 18th floor, but with limited choice of finger food. The group of staff is especially notable, with long-term employees providing good service. Stevan from the Concierge stood out for his helpfulness and courtesy, attending to our needs efficiently. One possible improvement for the hotel rooms could be updating the old electrical sockets to universal ones, although bringing an adapter is also a solution. Overall, due to the service provided by staff like Stevan, I plan to return when visiting Beijing again.

The hotel is in a business-focused area, making it particularly advantageous for those needing quick access to consulates. However, the surrounding neighborhood has limited restaurant options within walking distance, so dining variety may require a bit of travel. One of the hotel’s standout features is its luxurious spa, which offers a top-tier relaxation experience, ideal for unwinding after a long day. Though I didn’t explore other amenities like the pool or gym, the spa alone reflects the hotel’s high standards in wellness services. Service at the St. Regis Beijing is genuinely exceptional. The concierge team went above and beyond, assisting with transportation and insightful sightseeing recommendations, enhancing my stay in every way. Two individuals, in particular, made a lasting impact: Butler Ray Wang and General Manager Oliver Achatz. Ray’s dedication to guest satisfaction and his attention to detail are second to none. From arranging thoughtful touches like favorite treats to assisting me in navigating the city, Ray consistently went the extra mile. His excellent English skills provided a welcome break from language barriers, allowing me to engage on a deeper level and gain greater insight into Beijing. His warm, professional approach elevated my stay, making it both comfortable and unforgettable. Additionally, General Manager Oliver Achatz’s presence and hospitality stood out. I appreciated his engaging and personable approach as he mingled with guests, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that set the tone for the entire stay. His attentiveness reflected a genuine commitment to guest experience, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation for high standards in service. Dining at the hotel also exceeded expectations. Breakfast offered an impressive selection that catered to a variety of tastes and was beautifully presented in a welcoming restaurant setting. Room service was prompt and consistently delicious. Ray even arranged an American-style meal from a local delivery service when I mentioned a craving for familiar flavors—a thoughtful gesture that reflected the team’s dedication to anticipating guests’ needs. The St. Regis Beijing is a beautiful property, although the room decor felt slightly dated and could benefit from a refresh to match the hotel’s overall elegance. Additionally, the nighttime turndown service could use a bit more attention to detail. Despite these minor areas for improvement, the friendly and accommodating staff went out of their way to make my stay feel special.
