I was there last week with a family member. We were happy with the staff and how courteous they were to us. Bed was very comfortable. Price was good for the location. Special thanks to Martin who made sure our stay was a good one. The only problem we had when toilet stopped up and maintenance was quick to remedy the problem. Would recommend this hotel for its quality and cleanliness. I give it 5***

I booked a 6 night stay via booking.com, arriving on 10/10. The room rate that I paid apparently included breakfast. On the second morning, a member of staff hadn't turned up and so I was advised to go out and that the breakfast charges would be credited back. The following morning although the open sided roof terrace bar was open where breakfast was currently being served, it was very cold- 8C/46F outside and same within, we just couldn't sit in there. Even the person on duty was wearing a coat and sitting in the corner out of the way. He suggested we could eat it in our room but sitting on the bed.....really? I think that it is reasonable to have a certain expectation of what we should get whilst staying and these kind of compromises are not what we should need to make. We ate out and was told by the 'director of rooms' that we would be credited for all the breakfasts, not a problem. Clearly it is a problem, as 5 weeks later have not been refunded. We had to pay a $250 deposit charged to CC at check in and told it would be refunded after check out- this I waited 30 days to get back, never ever experienced this before at any hotel. Perhaps trivial but equally serious, on returning to the room on Sunday night, an apple that I had left in the room, had been taken- I could care less about the apple but something of mine being removed without my permission leaves the unpleasant feeling that housekeeping cannot be trusted and undermines confidence in the establishment. The room was generally unloved, it all needs attention: A drawer in the hanging space cannot be opened to use as bedside table is in the way. A large open cupboad without shelf, clearly intended for a fridge but doesn't have one. Dressing gowns were stated as included but were not in the room. At $450 per night, the place is overpriced as is certainly no 4 star hotel. All round disappointment.

Very nice stay. Clean, comfortable king size bed. First night my room had platform bed. After finding out I have back problems, they promptly moved me to another room for my remaining two nights. Both rooms very clean. Workout facilities used twice. Nice area close to restaurants and shops. Best if all, awesome staff, friendly and professional.

Great location and excellent support from the team at the hotel - particularly Besim Collum who went over and above to help ensure that the hotel accommodated our wider travel arrangements (this was greatly appreciated as we were travelling with young kids!)

Made a reservation for 4 rooms for a wedding- reservation made 9 months ago and deposit made. My family of 10 people were flying in for wedding. While on the plane, we discovered (after landing) that hotel left a voice saying we had 15 minutes to give them new credit card (apparently they ran the one made for deposit which had a number change in between) or rooms would be cancelled. Called immediately upon landing and they said they had given rooms away and we were on our own. Moreover, my 90 year old aunt was staying there as well, and even though she confirmed room that day (upon my warning that morning), once at hotel they said they didn't have room. After showing them the reservation number, they found her a room. Highly unethical.
