Reviews for Marriott Mena House, Cairo

Great view and great service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

The views at this place are unbeatable. If the pyramids are at the top of your list, this is the place to be! We spent 5 nights at this hotel during our 2 week Egypt trip. The only thing that beats the views here is the service. Right from the meet and assist set up at the airport, everything was taken care of. Sherif, Habiba and Maria were especially helpful. They put us up in a pyramid view suite - it was great to wake up to the pyramids. A special shout out to the staff at the executive lounge for catering to our dietary restrictions without being asked . The rooms could use a bit of rennovation. Breakfast has a great sampling of Egyptian food. We also enjoyed the other restaurants onsite.

When I saw this hotel, I knew I had to stay here. I used a Marriott bonvoy credit card sign up bonus to earn free nights. They gave me a free upgrade to a room with a view of the pyramids. They had excellent room service (highly recommend ordering breakfast to enjoy on your balcony). I also loved their pool. Amazing hospitality from the entire staff and would love to visit again.

Views and Relaxation.

After 2 intense days of exploring Hurghada and Luxor, this property and staff takes over the second you hit the arrival pavilion. The views are stunning and blows away expectations despite being splashed all over social media. The steam room & sauna are excellent. The breakfast is an absolute must with a massive selection of local dishes. There was a wedding here during my stay and the noise was loud late into the night. I'm happy for the party and can understand the venue of choice and no one should tame their celebration. But a heads up from the hotel would have been anticipatory on their behalf. Anything like a kind text or email with offering of ear plugs, and time of party/noise duration, and alternative areas for photos with pyramid backdrops would have been appreciated. The stage was still up late the morning after with obscured the view of the pyramids which is definitely a high touch point and reason to stay. These last 2 points are minor and my stay was incredible. Would stay again.

My wife and I visited Giza in December 2024. We stayed in a pyramid view room with a Great view of the Pyramids. The on site restaurants were all great . We really enjoyed our stay. This building has an amazing history. There are pictures throughout and information about all of the dignitaries that have stayed on the grounds.

We had the pleasure of being served by Ahmed at the restaurant, and they truly made our dining experience exceptional. His and the staff kindness, attentiveness, and warm demeanor were remarkable. They anticipated our needs, ensured every detail was meeting our needs, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Ahmed is an absolute asset to the team, and we’re grateful for this outstanding service!
