It’s expensive, but I think worth the price. Best service we experienced anywhere in Egypt. The staff were so nice, they made up our bed with a heart shaped towel for our honeymoon. They made sure to help us with anything we needed. And the spa is great too!

I could not believe that this was a Marriott and rated as a five star. OK, the gardens are large and very neat, the pyramids are very near but this is where it stops. Let's start with the need for a map of the hotel in order to walk (outside ) to the restaurants. It's a confusing group of buildings. The rooms are very tired and dated, the furniture needs a good polish; there were many rings from cups etc. The dark wood looked as if it had been around from the sixties. We used the main 139 restaurant for our three nights' stay; honestly the service was so confused, many mistakes, unexceptional quality and definitely quantity over quality. It was chaos sometimes. The New Year Buffet was huge and included an ostrich leg. If food was dropped on the floor around the buffet the staff had to be asked to clean up this hazard, they just didn' t notice We often had to ask for napkins or cutlery. After the evening buffet for NYE it was obvious that some of the food was on offer again at the breakfast buffet, albeit rehashed in a different form. Five star? We had constant apologies and assurances of change when things went wrong but no sign of improvement. I feel that the hotel is relying on the fast turnover of guests, knowing that it's unlikely that they will be repeat customers. Staff are not well trained in the restaurant. The super heavy doors to the outside eating area make taking food from the buffet to a table on the terrace very difficult. There should be a staff member ready to open these heavy doors when guests are holding plates of food simply for safety. The view of the Pyramid from the terrace was pretty amazing for those who chose to sit outside however. I'm sure that the management will respond with apologies and assure me that improvements will be made as they have with every other critical review but I feel this is highly unlikely to happen or be implemented. We had constant "sorries" and even phone calls from management but the service didn't improve. I felt sorry for the staff at the restaurant who were trying their best but simply didn't have the training necessary for five star service.

Our stay at the Marriott Mena House in Giza was nothing short of extraordinary. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the Great Pyramid of Giza right from our room. Waking up to such an iconic landmark was an unforgettable experience that truly sets this hotel apart. The staff at the hotel were incredibly kind and attentive, especially at the buffet restaurant. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had an exceptional dining experience. The variety and quality of the food were fantastic, making each meal a delight. The property itself is beautiful and well-maintained, seamlessly blending modern comforts with historic charm. Whether you’re lounging in the lush gardens or admiring the stunning views, the atmosphere is serene and magical. I highly recommend the Marriott Mena House to anyone visiting Giza. It’s an experience that combines luxury, history, and outstanding hospitality in the best possible way.

We booked a pyramid view room which did not disappoint! Every morning we could enjoy the view to the pyramids. The room is nice and big enough. The beds are very soft - too soft for me. If you like soft beds, this is for you, but I had shoulder pain. However, the rest of the hotel is great! The staff is very friendly. We ate several times in the different restaurants. Everything was good. I have a gluten intolerance and need to eat gluten free. It was no problem in all of the restaurants. The location is great if you want to visit the pyramids. The garden with the pool is also beautiful. We didn’t use the pool as it was too cold in January. All in all highly recommend for a visit in Cairo and the pyramids.

Hotel is right outside the pyramids - amazing views while you eat or just walk around the property. Enjoyed our stay. There are 3 restaurants on site. We tried them all. Breakfast buffet was very good and had a lot of offerings. All staff were very nice and accommodating.
