Great Conference. Had a lovely suite which overlooked the racecourse, the service from the team was exemplary, the meals were first class, and the attention to detail from the surprise fireworks display on the 5th to the wonderful buffet, BBQ and drinks on the lawn at lunchtime. well done to everyone

Absolute 5 star service in every respect. The hotel is stunning, the beds very comfortable and the linen of good quality. The food was amazing and every single staff member we interacted with was so friendly and eager to help in any way. The spa treatments were also of the best I've had (and I've had a LOT). Our stay was an 85th birthday treat for my mom and the extra touches of chocolates, hand written card and complimentary glass of champagne at dinner was unexpected and so appreciated.

The hotel was incredible from the room upgrade to the little touches for my partners birthday I can not fault it. The bed was very comfy and we slept beautifully. The staff were friendly, polite and kind in the hotel, bar and restaurant area and worth every penny! The spa was a little disappointing due to no space in the spa facilities to relax and people reserving the 6 loungers in there but our treatments were lovely and we both left them feeling relaxed. I would definitely go back and stay at the hotel.

We had the most wonderful turret room with amazing views. Location is excellent with fabulous walk to Cleeve Hill opposite the hotel. Staff are excellent, the more senior staff being very professional and knowledgeable while younger staff are very diligent and industrious.

Just stayed here 3 nights with my family. The stay was ok - but didn’t seem worth what we paid for a “5 star hotel”. Rooms were fine - beds were comfortable and heating/ac worked well, however there were quite a few bugs/spiders, the layout was a bit odd, and the yoto players for the kids weren’t in rooms, we had to ask for them. As far as service, it was real hit or miss. We had dinner included in our reservation so ate 3 nights in a row at the restaurant. First night our dinner service took 2.5 hours. Similar story second night, 3rd night bit faster. Food was overall good, but wildly inconsistent (my daughter ordered chicken goujons all 3 nights and it was different each night - on 3rd night the batter was so spicy they had to remake and it took almost 30 minutes for them to come out again). Breakfast was good, however a bit more variety for hot to-order items would be nice. The grounds are gorgeous and the main sitting area is super cozy and great to sit in with a cocktail. They just need to work on consistency and level of service. Also, check your bill at checkout, our “included” dinners weren’t calculated properly and it was a bit hectic at checkout trying to get it sorted. All in all, comfortable stay, but not a 5 star experience. Would try a different place next time.
