We stayed in the Rajah Brooke suite and had a splendid trip. Hotel has a nice lay-out and felt like there were hardly people there (but there were) as it was so peaceful and quiet. Suite comes with a huge terrace; room itself is not very large but there is a seprate dressing area plus vanity for him and her, then in the next area you can find the freestanding bathtub with doors opening up to your mini garden/outdoor shower area. On each side of the bath tub there is a door: one leading to the toilet, the other to the indoor shower. The only thing here was that there were only 2 towels provided, which were a bit worn down. We had a party on Saturday afternoon/night so we showered and got dressed around 2pm. Upon our return after midnight, our towels were not changed during the turn down service and were hanging wet in the bathroom. Not loving taking a shower and having to use a wet towel. Also the coffee pods were not replenished. Minor details but this is one of the more expensive hotels in Chiang Mai and they offer a personal butler service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant has a selection of Thai and Western food: we only tried the Thai and it was really good. We also tried the spa on Sunday, lovely massage! Property is beautiful with the old Thai wooden house for breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea. There is a nice bar area there as well. All the rooms are spread over 2 floors so you are either ground floor or top. We were ground floor and had people moving like elephants above us.... next night we did not hear them. Pool is a long lap pool and it was very quiet during our stay: except for the fact that the vents of the underground working area are right behind the sun loungers which means all the banging going on there on Sunday (have no idea what they were doing) but it came with a smoke break every now and then. So it was not so quiet lying there and certainly sitting in the smell of cigarette smoke is not what you wish for. We loved our weekend stay, would definitely recommend this hotel.

137 Pillars did not disappoint! Beautiful grounds, amazing suite, great breakfast and dining room was good too. That said… what stands out the most at this property is the excellent service! Truly, everyone on site goes above, and way beyond to take care of their guests. I can’t wait to return!

This place is the epitome of luxury, relaxation, and serendipitous. It is the perfect representation of Chiang Mai and the customer service was superb. If you’re looking for a place to relax and be catered to yet be in the center of things, book!

My wife and I had THE best experience at 137 Pillars House, Chiang Mai. Went for 4 days and couldn't have asked for a better time. The rooms, the staff, the arrangements, the breakfast - everything was absolutely top level. Would especially like to mention Toto, our butler - one of the nicest people we've ever come across. He was always available - on call and in person - and would help us out at the drop of a hat. Whether it was a specific item we were searching for or a restaurant with a very specific cuisine in mind, Toto was like our own little fairy godmother! The rest of the staff - Big, Tuck, and Mint were also super helpful in case Toto wasn't around. Always available with smile and never let us feel inconvenienced for even a second. And of course, Anne - we met her on the first day when we were checking in. She came to welcome us with the sweetest smile, and we truly felt we were home. :) Would definitely come back to 137 Pillars House, JUST for these people and their warmth. A big thank you to each and every one at 137 Pillars House! :D
