Reviews for The Sarojin

Ausgezeichnetes, einmaliges Hotel an wunderschöner Lage

We stayed at the Sarojin in Khao Lak for six days. The friendliness, attentiveness and professionalism of the staff was unrivalled. The hotel complex, the room and the beach were clean and beautiful. We have stayed in many hotels on different continents. The Sarojin is probably one of the best hotels in the world. We really appreciated the opportunity to stay until the afternoon for breakfast. The food in the two restaurants is excellent. We had a dream holiday at the Sarojin.

Beautiful holiday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We have spent eleven memorable days in the Sarojin hotel-resort. Our room ,a garden villa ,was spacious, beautifully decorated and in the middle of a jungle garden. Breakfast a la carte with fantastic variety and good restaurants. The staff was polite and extremely helpful. They tried to accommodate all our needs always with a smile . The pool area is fantastic , in the middle of a lush garden ,very relaxing with bird sounds. The beach area is very beautiful with plenty of fresh clean towels and enough shade as well. The excursions we took were perfectly organised. Generally a very nice holiday!!! Thank you once more for everything!

Paradise in Khao Lak

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We have just returned to the UK after spending 6 nights in paradise at the Sarojin. It's hard to overstate what a wonderful place this is. It started with our being collected at Phuket airport by the Sarojin car and given cold towels, and the offer of cold water, soft drinks and beer! On arriving at the hotel to the evocative sound of frogs and cicadas we were greeted so warmly it felt like coming home, despite the very late hour. The room (Garden Residence) was huge, with a very comfortable bed, a work area (though who would want to waste time working here I have no idea!), a big bath area and a bath filled with water and rose petals to greet us. The setting is stunning, with ponds and lovely landscaping so it's actually quite hard to see the rooms. A path wends its way past the ponds, a restaurant where you take breakfast, the pool and spa until you reach the beach - white sand and turquoise seas. Stunning. Time at the beach is so nice, with iced water served throughout the day and watermelon provided as an afternoon snack. It's little touches like this (plus the provision everywhere of nicely scented mosquito spray) which elevate the experience from great to incomparable. All reviews of the Sarojin cite the brilliance of the team there and this one is no different. We were very touched by their warmth and the strength of the customer service ethic. Absolutely superb. It seems unfair to single out any one group for special mention as they were all so good, but we particularly loved the breakfast team. Talking of breakfast, it's a wonderful experience. Delicious food, in the most amazing setting. All table service, no buffet. Poached eggs on muffins were to die for, as were the coconut pastries! We did a day trip to the Similan islands on Lady Sarojin, the hotel boat. Not cheap at approx £180/person but worth every penny. We were taken to some excellent snorkelling spots, a stunning beach, and served a truly delicious lunch with sparkling wine/white wine/beer whatever you felt like. Andrew and Kate Kemp, plus the wider Sarojin family, have created something very special here, we absolutely loved it and very much hope to return.

Relaxing, stunning and makes you feel special

Simply incredible hotel that takes luxury and boutique to a new level, we had our honeymoon and my Wife’s 40th there and we were made to feel so special. Private dining on the beach Wow wow wow - what a treat and something we will never forget, every member of staff is so polite and courteous and can’t do enough, every meal is prepared meticulously and served with perfection. Also how amazing that they offer your breakfast all Day so you can have brunch instead of being forced to eat pre 10am - we loved This as broke up our day enabling us to eat later. The only thing I would say is for someone as slightly restless as me I wish there was a few more activities around the hotel such as maybe pool table - mini golf but that may not be the clientele they are looking for . Overall superb and thank you

This is a good hotel - and value for money, but not superlative quality.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

A nice hotel, in a pretty garden setting. Accommodation is comfortable. And good value for money. Hence four stars. Highlights: Peaceful. No kids. Decent beds/comfortable rooms. This counts for a lot. Attractive gardens. Lovely swimming pool. Thai restaurant - food is pretty good - and an excellent female maitre d’. Kind and willing staff. Not so great: Spa - I had one good treatment and one poor one. Treatment spaces are ok but not luxe. No dedicated relaxation space. Outlook is scrubby undergrowth. Lacks uplifting serenity I look for in an Asian resort spa. Main restaurant: food was a bit hit and miss. Some good dishes. Staff don’t always understand enough English to help you. Breakfast was pretty consistently good. Beach area is accessed via a narrow corridor of ground, hemmed in by other resorts on either side. Available space allocated to the Sarojin is limited and closely covered by sun beds and umbrellas. No view of the bay from the beach bar which is set back behind the rows of sunbeds. So lacks the wow factor. In my experience - and of course all reviews are subjective - this is a good value, quiet comfortable holiday resort, but it’s not top of the range in terms of overall quality or luxury.
