Trip of a Lifetime!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Words cannot adequately describe this beautiful sanctuary and the experience we had at the Sarojin. From the moment we pulled in and sat down in the lobby to check in while overlooking the beautiful grounds we knew we were in a very special place. Everything from the meticulously kept surroundings, the scrumptious food, the experiences offered (which we took advantage of almost every single one even though everyone there told us to just take a day or two to relax), the most amazing and perfectly executed New Years Eve celebration, the spa and our first Thai massages, everything far exceeded any expectations we had going into our first trip to Thailand. But most importantly: the staff (which sounds weird saying because they are more like guides and friends). Everyone there was so accommodating, so helpful, so friendly, always going above and beyond for others! Hate to mention names specifically because everyone was so genuinely kind but special thanks to Kade, Sonya, Tom, for your help and guidance in arranging ALL the adventures we experienced and we so look forward to returning this little piece of heaven on Earth many times in the upcoming years!

Amazing hotel, staff excellent, delicious food

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

We spent five nights at the Sarojin and we loved it. From start to finish staff looked after us. The hotel layout, buildings, gardens were lovely and spacious. Our room was large and clean. Breakfast each day was delicious. Everything freshly cooked, with fruits, breads, cereals, eggs, local. We had a very early tour start date one morning and were able to preorder a take away breakfast which was really helpful. We had our lunches and dinners in their Thai restaurant “Edge”. Everything we ate was delicious. Only suggestion for improvement is a better coffee machine and/or employ a trained barista as coffee could be better, tasted like a pod machine. Every member of staff was helpful, attentive, helped with any queries we had. This hotel was worth every penny, if in the area again we will only stay here.

Wonderful experience

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone. It is so serene and tranquil, set in beautiful grounds with fairy lights twinkling in the trees. We were delighted with our garden residences which were spacious and elegantly decorated and demonstrated an unbelievable attention to detail. Someone had really thought about what guests would want on their holiday. We attended the New Year's Eve gala party thrown by the Sarojin which was an unforgettable night - wonderful food, live music and dancing. There must have been a tremendous effort involved in putting it together. The breakfasts are amazing; the beach is lovely; terrific excursions can be organised; the massages at the spa are second to none. Finally, the staff are incredibly polite and always greet you with a smile. Genuinely nothing is too much for them.

A piece or paradise ............

Just back in the UK from a wonderful family Christmas break in Thailand which started with a 5-night stay at the Sarojin in Khao Lak- located approx. 90 minutes from Phuket airport. Myself and my wife were in room 206 which was a pool room and our kids were in room 103 ( garden room) , whilst we didn’t actually use the pool it was a beautifully laid out room- we were offered an upgrade to move room mid stay( to room 107) - so that our room could be used by a young family who needed interconnecting rooms –the new room was a jacuzzi balcony top floor style suite - almost wish we didn’t move- as very likely will cost me when we go back !! The entire team should be commended - from the gardeners, through to the restaurant team, front of house, back office, beach team etc, we could not fault anyone, generally Thai’s are known to be very welcoming and incredibly polite- but when compared to the next 2 hotels we stayed in during this trip the Sarojin team was certainly “ a cut above the rest” and no surprise that we learnt they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary next year . We ate in all the restaurants and whilst all the food was excellent the idea of an all-day breakfast is one that we haven’t experienced in any hotel before and is a great idea. Wish we had made a list of names of all those that we had the pleasure of meeting and that made a lasting impression , although some that come to mind include “O”, Sok, Two, manager Kade with his “new” binoculars who was very happy bird watching and June to name but a few…. Already thinking about booking again for this year, and Very much looking forward to coming back- to what can be described as a piece of paradise… Khop Khun The Frasers x

The Sarojin Thailand over new year

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Fantastic hotel with great staff. We had a pool room but spent no time in the pool at all so if I was to come again I would not pay the extra for the pool room as there can be a lot of mosquitos by the room so it was not pleasant laying there, we were in room 301 during our stay and the main hotel pool was so quiet it was lovely, we spent most days laid there or by the sea all day. The food quality is good but not exceptional and the Thai options are limited if you stay more than a few nights. I did ask if I could have a Thai dish that was not on the menu but was told no only the menu is available which was a bit disappointing. If you wanted to experiment Thai food you need to go to one of the local restaurants which there are plenty of and they are exceptionally cheap. We did the similar island trip and a local trip on the river a local market and a temple which was really fun and the awesome staff took us to a local elephant sanctuary which was fun. On New Year’s Eve we joined the hotels dinner and party and it was amazing one of the best new years we have had in a long time. The beach outside the hotel is lovely but the sea water is very warm but murky so no good for snorkelling which was a disappointment as I’m sure it was teeming with fish. Overall a great holiday and a fantastic new year celebration by the hotel.
