We stay here every year as our kids attend a sports tournament nearby. It's a pretty dated/tired facility but we appreciate it as a good gathering spot for bigger groups. This year however was truly horrendous and I don't be returning. First and most unbelievably, we were given a room type different from what we reserved and nothing was done about it despite repeated communications to the hotel. I booked a room that was supposed to have a King bed AND sofabed pullout as I was sharing this room with my husband and our 12YO. The room we were assigned did not have a sofa. I messaged the hotel 3 times about it, they asked if I'd like the manager to call and I said yes, gave them my info and literally never heard a thing. This would be unacceptable for any guest but I am a Hilton Gold member which makes it all the more shocking. In addition, the refillable bath soap dispenser in our shower was empty which was an unfortunate discovery mid shower. Finally they have turned part of the hotel into some party spot sponsored by Amex which makes it loud and impossible to park anywhere the room. Add to this to the overall very tired condition of this resort and we will not be returning again.

Beautiful resort, rooms need a significant refresher. The grounds, tennis courts and gold are amazing at this sprawling resort. Inside, the rooms have heavy dark furniture and carpeting that needed to go a while ago. Shower was recently redone but drain was clogged (fixed promptly) but the deal killer was the stupid “antiscald” shower knob-never had more that a tepid shower (the sinks had hot water!); the worst shower experience I’ve had in years- the stupid button to control the warm water wouldn’t lock into place… Restaurants ok astonishingly expensive ($28 for 4 shrimp cocktail, $15 for edamame) at 26; ($40 for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast sandwiches, which they forgot to make and 30+minutes later, after asking did, but of course coffee cold by then-Marketplace not optimal) The gym is decently stocked but so tight-with all the space on this resort this could be improved. Spa and massages were great.

Spacious and comfortable cabanas with fully equipped kitchens, small private courtyards and multiple shared swimming pools/hot tubs readily accessible. We stayed in a king suite with a full living room with sofa sleeper and fire place and 2 full baths. The place was clean, comfortable and charming. There are signs that the spaces are a little dated, smaller TVs, no USB outlet charging stations, etc., but overall it was fantastic. Room service was decent, convenient. The grounds are well kept and ample activities like bike rentals and tennis. Enjoyed the short stay and could see the value in full kitchen for longer stays.

What a complete disaster!! READ TO THE END - I scheduled our stay two months before we actually got here. I had heard about the resort through an ex friend of mine. She is an ex friend because she gave me the worst advice on where to go for my anniversary. But I digress, we arrived on Wednesday evening after having to alter our stay by one day. We spoke with Hilton, who then transferred us to La Quinta, then told us to call Hilton, who then told us to go to the manager at La Quinta. After three days of this back-and-forth, Alex, the manager corrected our stay. It's important to know that the credit still has not hit my credit card yet, but I'm not super worried about that. American Express will reverse this entire thing when they read everything that happened here. When we arrived at the facility, it looked decent, the guy parking cars was probably the rudest person of all time and there's no way on God green earth I would let him park our car. But we went in. We got checked in the check-in process took 20 minutes just to figure out they needed to adjust our date of departure by one day. So not the greatest administration experience but we were still hopeful. We get to our room. This place smelled like old feet. The vibe was turn of the century Spanish tile. The couch is as hard as a rock. You literally could bounce a quarter off of that couch and it would come flying right back up. At about 9:00pm, we were in bed as we had a 7:00 Tee time. Someone came banging on our doors and windows. I wasn't sure if the SS had started working Palm Springs yet, so we opened the window to see outside. There was no one. Two hours later it happened again! Finally at about 1:30am a car alarm sounded off. We thought it was ours so we got up to investigate. It was not our car. Now we were less than 200 Ft from gate security. No one showed up. That alarm blasted for 30 plus minutes. So not really the rest and relaxation place that we had hoped for. The next morning, we played the Pete mountain course. It is a great course. I highly recommend it. The staff there are fantastic. The facility is phenomenal and the overall vibe is just amazing! We came home after golfing, sat in the spa, which was great there was nobody in the courtyard so it was very quiet. We went and had dinner in town and came home. We got into bed turned off all the lights turned on the television and about 40 minutes after we got into bed I had to get up to go to the bathroom. As I opened the bathroom door a 3 inch long thug looking cockroach came running across the floor. This thing was the P Diddy of all roaches. I'm sure I saw a gold chain. I swear to God it looked at me like "don't touch me bitch." we tried to trap the giant cockroach, we chased it around hoping it didn't get into our knicker drawer. Alas, it ended up under our bed. we tried to sleep with the lights on so that this mutant cockroach could not come out and end up eating our slippers. Neither one of us got any sleep. We had massages scheduled for first thing Friday morning. They lost our reservation. They called us 20 minutes later and said they found it, but the time had passed. We ended up cancelling. We are on our way home from the worst wedding anniversary celebration of all time. Thanks for nothing! Oh and we have yet to have one phone call from a manager. Not one. They use a text system so they can avoid speaking to people. Absurd. The management should be terminated, the rooms exterminated, and the neighborhood patrolled. Ffs!

Beautiful resort with lots of amenities like tennis, pool, jacuzzi, golf next door, and spa. Massages were great and staff go above and beyond. The only problem is the dining options are limited along with limited hours and the value for what they charge and what you get isn’t commensurate so one star lost. We would definitely return again.

Great service, clean room, comfortable bed, large bathroom with 2 sinks. We stayed at La Quinta Resort and Spa. The grounds are stunning with all color of flowers. Food is great, all meals. Our only complaint would be parking. It is very minimal where your villa is located. There is parking lot available but not very close. The spa is also a great place with good therapists. -Dawn D.
