Reviews for Gran Melia Victoria

Good option at Palma

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My first impression wasn’t good enough. I was upset that this hotel didn’t have access to the beach and truly looked very old inside. Slowly, slowly my feeling was changed to the positive direction. As a result I can say that the management and the staff in Melia Victoria are friendly and cooperative. Rooms are quite big and comfortable. Free internet access with high speed. Outdoor swimming pool- was very convenient and great place for relax. We had a HB meal plan, and I was concerned to understand that dinner was by menu. However, I have to admit that dinner was excellent. Yummy meals in a great selection and served professionally. The breakfast- acceptable to satisfy all expectations. Personally enjoyed the promenade and vicinity to marine. My opinion: the hotel is a bit overestimated, but in general it’s a fair option for family or business trip to Palma. Thanks

The basics are good but let down by lack of housekeeping

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We were delighted with this Hotel when we checked in. The room was really comfortable and the amenities are great. Really disappointed on the second night to find that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all and we were unable to get water or any basic things like clean cups for our room. Such a shame as it has let down what would otherwise have been a great experience. Don’t know if they have problems with staffing but it’s a major issue if you can’t even have a clean room or get your bed made.

My style of hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I have stayed here three times this year and several times over the years. The Hotel philosophy is one is great customer service from the concierge to the housemaids. My room was spotless the bed reasonably comfortable. There are minor niggles there a 50” TV but no BBC or I TV. Only Sky world news, there’s an alarm/radio clock and I never worked out how to set the time or alarm. The room was modern with a bath and shower but the room in the toilet was so small, I did my ablutions in the hotel foyer toilets. Two out of the last three visits I have used the Red Level, between certain hours you get snacks and free drinks. However, at £100 per night extra I don’t think it’s worth it the food isn’t substantial enough and there’s little atmosphere in the Red level area, that said, the I will still stay here on my next visit.

Beautiful Hotel with amazing views and staff!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Beautiful hotel, with a lovely pool area well looked after by the staff, with amazing views over the marina. Efficient friendly staff everywhere and comfortable rooms are cleaned to perfection daily. Complimentary water left in your room every day. Although a good (but beautiful) walk into the town, around 25 minutes, would choose to stay here again all round and get taxis here and there (around 7 euro). Some lovely restaurants overlooking the marina at the front of the hotel, and a great bar Kenzo just outside, and a few also at the back of the hotel, special mention to Joe’s bistro whose food is the best! A perfect stay in Palma! ❤️

Beautiful terrace views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Lovely views and ambience on the terrace for drinks. Staff really friendly and attentive and cleanliness good. Nice pool area. Good for visiting palma although in the heat mostly used taxis when going out as it’s almost half hour walk in. Had a classic room and hadn’t checked it didn’t come with a balcony. Room was ok but slightly dated with some of the wooden draws not working and a shower over the bath. Would use again especially when construction work outside is finished. It wasn’t a noise issue though.
