Set in the heart of Rome at the start of the Via Veneto, Hotel Sina Bernini Bristol has been welcoming guests in grand style since 1870. Recently restored to its original grandeur, it maintains the glorious traditions of the past with an exquisite collection of elegant, European-style guest accommodations. Magnificent lounges filled with antique furnishings offer views over Tritone Fountain, while the Mediterranean and international cuisine served at L'Olimpo restaurant delights the most demanding of gourmands.

Just not a 5 star as advertised. The support staff (restaurants, bar, housekeeping, porters) were very good. However, the front desk seemed bothered by what appeared to be mostly American guests. Example, my wife asked for change from larger bills to smaller bills, and told “go have the bartender do it”. Asked bartender, and he did not have change, so asked again at desk and told they probably cannot do that , and my wife responded it’s for your staff, and they suddenly could. That’s a simple request that you would expect a 5 star hotel to accommodate all day long. I also found room descriptions misleading, as an urban view is an alley/small street simply looking at another building(pretty much zero view). Finally, with mostly American guests (I understand Italian aperitif hours) surprised the best asset of the hotel (rooftop bar view, which was amazing) was closed until after sundown (really wanted an afternoon drink and to enjoy the view in the sunlight, plus it was a bit chilly after sundown in November). Room was nice, with a very nice en suite (water closet and separate shower and closet areas).

I spend 2 nights before a cruise at the Sina Bernini Bristol hotel. It's located near the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps, and opposite a stop for some of the HOHO buses. One thing to note is that this hotel is older, all the rooms are very different and it's made up of a few buildings so that even though there's a lift, several actually, you may STILL have to navigate up/down 6-9 steps to get to your room which I didn't know beforehand and was rather annoying. After some initial misunderstandings with staff (I didn't feel welcome at first, and at one point, a doorman followed me around and made me feel like he thought I wasn't a guest, I had a nice stay but I won't return, mainly due to the physical layout of the hotel and other small things, like no one told me that I had to insert my key into a hard to find spot to turn on the lights. I did get upgraded to a suite for my birthday which was nice, and the breakfast room staff kindly added a candle to a bombolono (little donut) in honor of my birthday so that was super nice. The room was clean and fairly quiet, with a large bathroom, sitting area and comfortable bed. I will say that the prices for food and drinks in the hotel and at the surrounding restaurants were quite a bit higher than those in facilities closer to the other hotel I stayed in (Hotel Lancelot, by the Colosseum, in a more residential area) so that was a bummer. WIFI worked fairly well and the hotel did have a lot of TV channel options, though not many in English and no US channels if I recall. (SO watching American football in Italy, on a German channel with German play by play was fun!) Not all rooms have A/C that functions all the time either, so if you're always hot, be sure to ask for a room with A/C. The breakfast, which I selected as my Bonvoy Elite amenity was very good with plenty of variety to satisfy both European and American palates. I loved the MYO waffles! And I always appreciate a good mimosa as well. I did enjoy my stay and the hotel is very nice, it just wasn't a good fit for me personally. I had very high expectations and I was a little let down initially. Again, many love this property but I can also understand those who do not. If you want a nicely located hotel in a convenient, albeit a more expensive part of Rome, then this might be your place. But if you're looking to have your socks knocked off with service and luxury, you may be disappointed.

Our room was large and quite comfortable. Staff were courteous and helpful. We very much enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet. For those who use the metro, the hotel is very well situated, only a few steps from the Barberini station. We'd recommend avoiding rooms overlooking the Plaza Barberini because of street noise, especially on a Saturday night.

This was the most luxurious hotel we've ever stayed at. The service was impeccable. This was our last stop in Europe after a long vacation, so we were getting a little tired, and this was the perfect place to end it to relax. We ordered room service twice and the food was amazing. The location is perfect, it's walkable to multiple sightseeing locations, great food, and shopping. Our flight to leave for the airport on our final day was quite early on a Sunday morning, and we didn't realize there would be very few taxis available at that hour because the discos had just closed! Grazio at the front desk was amazingly helpful at advising us and helping us find transportation.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff was so kind and helpful, especially Sara at the Front Desk and Mauro at the Concierge Desk. They upgraded me to a full suite which was super quiet, spacious and nicely appointed with every amenity imaginable including nightly turn down service, chocolates on our pillows and slippers laid out next to the bed. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom huge with two sinks. The gym was lovely and well equipped. The location right on Piazza Bernini was perfect, walking distance to the Vatican (4k, and the Coliseum (2k), tons of shopping, amazing restaurants, bustling nightlife. Lovely rooftop bar/restaurant overlooking all of Rome. Highly recommend, absolutely not one negative! Loved it and look forward to returning!
