Hotel Valley Ho

There is not a hotel on earth that compares to Hotel Valley Ho. This unique property is unconventional in appearance which is slightly concerning at first. This is a classic example of not judging a book by its cover. The service and amenities are upscale and incredible. From the bartenders to the front desk to housekeeping to the spa employees and everything in between, the Hotel Valley Ho is in a category by itself. Do yourself a favor and consider choosing something other than the luxury chain hotels. You will not be disappointed especially if you choose a suite and have at least breakfast and a cocktail at the hotel restaurant, Zuzu. Bonus: Old Town is a stone’s throw away!

Wonderful staff, beautiful well maintained facility, and excellent restaurant! Everyone was so kind and friendly to us (including our soon-to-be 2 year old). Already looking forward to planning our next visit! The restaurant was extremely delicious, with great service. We also enjoyed the live music on Friday and Saturday nights. So much walkable from the location to nearby old town Scottsdale.

I rarely really enjoy a hotel but Valley Ho is an exception. I loved everything about this place. It has a really cool mid-century modern vibe which has been preserved in the original 1956 portion of the hotel - the outside architecture and rooms AND in the newer lobby/restaurant in the newer tower building. The grounds are maintained beautifully and the 2 pools looked nice although it was too cold for me in December to use. There IS self-parking available as an option (contrary to what a previous review said). It is same price as valet but we prefer to self park and the lot was gated and very near our room; so convenient. We had dinner at Zuzu restaurant in the lobby on Christmas Eve and the food and service was excellent. I appreciated the friendly service and tasteful holiday decorations. We enjoyed our short stay.

Amazing mid century property. Immaculate grounds, clean spacious rooms. Comfy beds and huge balcony. Friendly, helpful staff. Amazing communication throughout stay and prior to check in. Close to all the fun stuff in Old Town. If I could give more stars, I would.

This is my third day at this beautiful hotel. Conveniently located next to old town, Scottsdale, and within walking distance to the shops and dining options. They have a beautiful spa on site, and a pool with cabanas. The on site restaurant Zuzu’s, is lively and the menu is extensive. Room service is also very nice, with lots of options and they serve late night meals. They have a bar that is very fun, and busy during the evenings. You can also order to go items in the morning from the bar if you wish to have coffee to go or a pastry. There is also a shop that sells sundries, wine, and souvenirs. Very interesting items, and a nice thing to have if you wanna grab a soft drink or a bottle of wine. There is no resort fee, which is very nice, and they offer plenty of complimentary bottled water during your stay. I stayed on a ground level room with a patio, immaculate and beautiful! Lots of countertop space, and very good lighting. The bed is very comfortable, and the linens and towels are white and very high-quality. Their toiletries are fragrant and luxurious. Upon arrival, you’re greeted warmly by the Valet staff and they are efficient and prompt with your vehicle whenever you need it. They are also very helpful with baggage service to your guest room. Everyone that I encountered is friendly and happy to help. While my stay was for business, it is definitely good for solo travel, couples, and getaways. It is very safe, and they have constant security throughout the property. I will definitely return, and I would give this hotel a 10 out of 10.
