Stonefield Villa Resort

We stayed in Limemill with our two adult children for 3 nights before heading north for 7 nights. Check in was good. We were welcomed with cool flannels and a local drink. We were given a phone to use during our stay to contact reception or the restaurant. This can be used off site to call for taxi's back to the hotel. The views from the villa and also Mango Tree Restaurant are absolutely breathtaking!! The villa was very comfortable and huge. We particularly loved the outdoor showers and the hammock. We ate at Mango Tree restaurant for breakfast and our evening meals. The food was delicious and the service was good. As some have said a little slow at times but we've realised that this is just island time!! All the staff at the resort were friendly and welcoming. This resort is a perfect base to explore all that Soufriere has to offer. We did the Sunset cruise with Mystic Man Tours, the Explore Soufriere tour with Golden Ticket and then the Bean to Bar experience at Project Chocolate. All excellent !!

We arrived tired and hungry at 9pm New years Eve after travelling all day from Antigua via Barbados. All we wanted was to get a bite to eat and have an early night in this peaceful and tranquil resort. We did not receive a particularly warm welcome, We were then told that only the Gala New Year Eve menu was available to eat at $300 for two (seriously?!) In a 4 star Hotel? Room service? Nope. This is advertised as a "quiet"resort which is why we booked it. We went down to the bar for a quick drink where deafening "New Year" party music was blaring out; so noisy that we could not hear each other at adjacent bar stools! It completely ruined this wonderful setting. We cannot believe that the management think that discerning guests at an upscale hotel like this want to be deafened over their drink/dinner. It was so inappropriate. and unnecessary. We like background music and a party like anyone but this...…. . We escaped to bed where the booming noise disturbed us until well after midnight. Next morning we think the staff either had a hangover or the chef did not turn up....20 minutes for a cup of coffee then another half hour for egg and bacon to arrive. Things settled down after that and we could enjoy this beautiful resort, lush well kept tropical gardens, its spacious quiet rooms (stunning sea views,) decent plunge pool and loungers, great air con and good wi fi. The bar /pool /restaurant area was also wonderful and we enjoyed quiet meals and drinks there overlooking the Caribbean sea. Overall we loved our stay at the stunning Stonefield Villa Estate Villa Hotel despite the truly disastrous start. Would we go back? Absolutely..But not on New Years Eve! In fact we have recommended to pur daughter and husband who have booked to come in April.

A most enjoyable stay. We received a very warm welcome from the reception team and were made to feel very special. It is a delightfully tranquil and well maintained resort with lots of attention to detail, and very friendly efficient staff. We particularly enjoyed our spacious characterful room with very comfortable four-poster bed, the large balcony with comfortable chairs and hammock, and the individual plunge pool, all in a spectacular location overlooking the Caribbean Sea with an awesome view of the majestic Petit Piton. We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in the beautifully located restaurant and at lunchtimes took a short taxi-ride down to the beach restaurant at Sugar Beach. This was our second stay at Stonefield and we certainly plan to come again.

Stonefield charm is in the things that come naturally to a place built by a family that stewards the land and cares for the people-- the people who work there and guests. We have stayed in some of the most expensive and luxurious hotels in the world. This was more special. We also did the all-inclusive package. It was worth it.

My husband and I wanted something gorgeous, locally owned, and laid back for our honeymoon and Stonefield was everything we could have wanted! Our villa was gorgeous, the a/c in the bedroom was perfect and we spent all day in our beautiful pool with our unreal view! We had the garden view villa Chalon and it was just perfect. We plan to go back for an anniversary because we were in love with it.
