St. George's Caye Resort is situated on some of the country’s most historic shores – the area was Belize’s original capital, the site of clashes between shipwrecked British sailors-turned-pirates and Spanish conquistadors. There are rumors of a sarcophagus still buried on resort property. Guests get a taste of island flavor in cabanas adorned in rich, native hardwoods and coconut fronds, a design that conceals them in the surrounding thickets of palms. Attentive staff are especially helpful in arranging personalized dive itineraries.

We had a great time at the resort and on the excursions, I highly recommend the fishing, snorkeling and sailing. The accommodations, food and staff were all exceptional. Definitely will be returning in the near future. The resort has so many included amenities and activities you really never need to leave the resort to have an amazing time.

The weather hindered some of our activities, but the staff tried to accommodate us the best way possible. Very friendly staff... and they made sure all of my food allergies were addressed. The scuba diving was amazing. I will definitely go back.

My two boys and I just spent a week in over water bungalows diving and fishing at St. George’s Caye. I can’t say enough about this resort. It is SO well run with fabulous service and a ‘no problem’ attitude about everything. You’re Gluten Free? Vegetarian? Dairy Free? Want bait for fishing? Are you getting married and want a special day planned for you? You want coffee delivered to your room every morning? You want your fridge stocked with beer or water? You caught some fish today and want us to cook it? You speared some Lion Fish diving and want ceviche for an appetizer tonight? Do you want us to catch you some fishing bait? Everything we asked for was ‘no problem.’ We did two dives on each on five days, and did an all day fishing/lunch excursion one day with an outside company. Our other planned fishing day with St. George’s Caye was canceled because of weather, but we were instead still able to dive that day, so they refunded us for the fishing, again - no problem! We rented BC’s, fins, and regs for diving and the equipment was top notch. The diving was super low key and the dive masters were very accommodating. My boys brought spears and wanted to kill Lion Fish on the reef, so the dive master brought the zoo keeper and helped the boys collect them. (FYI - Lion Fish are a very invasive presence with no natural predators in the Caribbean, so divers are encouraged to help eliminate them) The boys love to fish off the dock in the afternoons and evenings for tarpon and snappers. So the staff threw the cast net and caught a bunch of sardines (pilchers) for bait. They had a blast, and al thought they were up pretty late - they were able to land and release several big tarpon - which is NOT an easy task! All in all, we met lots of great people. Some returning to the resort for their 3rd or 4th time. We played cards after dinner every night and just had a great time. St. George’s Caye is a very special place. It’s easy to get to, with fabulous diving and fishing on the beautiful barrier reef just 10 minutes from shore.

We spent 6 nights in paradise here and are already looking forward to coming back! The service, especially Jose & Anderson, was top notch and the food was incredible!! The view from every side is beautiful and the cabanas are cozy and serene. We enjoyed excursions, their spa and the experience of family dining with other people. Meeting some great people and making wonderful memories!

It was fascinating to watch the sea life. Your hosts make every effort to make you feel at home. The diving was amazing - you know how amazing the reef is, but the service took the entire experience to the next level. I could go on-and-on about the time we spent at St. George's Caye Resort!

The resort staff went out of the way to ensure that we had a memorable experience. The accommodations were excellent! As for diving - every day all of our gear was on the boat, meticulously maintained and ready to go. Travelers wishing to experience a gloriously beautiful waterfront location with pampered diving, satisfying food, and good company, then St. Georges Caye Resort fills the bill.

What an awesome experience. The environment is stunning. The water is beautiful. It is truly a unique experience to stay on this remote island, with all luxuries included. The staff was fantastic. Everyday we received personalized attention. There were special meals and excursions. Fresh baked cookies were delivered to the cabana daily. The staff all knew our names and drink preferences. The best endorsement I can give is that we extended our stay.
