Best stay ever

We had our best stay in MO Tokyo, rooms are so comfortable, best view to sunset at mount fuji(lucky enough o have a clear sky). Staff are so humble, interactive and caring. Best breakfast experience and Pizza lunch was amazing. Staff nailed every opportunity to make our request and beyond by anticipating our needs.

Perfect stay with perfect staff.

Perfect hotel in the absolute center of the city. The service, rooms , variety of restaurants and location is great. Everything you'd expect from a luxury hotel. MO Tokyo works for business or pleasure trips. Insane views from the rooms and the sky lobby and breakfast every morning. Service was top notch, the concierge and the staff were there at every turn to help.

Five stars experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Mandarin Oriental never disappoints. We stayed three nights and this was our second time staying. Warmly greeted by the hotel staff the moment we arrived, and a welcome fruit platter was waiting for us in our room. The room is spacious, and we had a room facing the Tokyo Sky Tree and the beautiful Tokyo cityscape. The room is immaculately clean, even it is carpeted, you don’t see dust flying around in the air which I was very impressed. The interior design is simple, modern yet sophisticated, with a hint of Japanese style in the details. We enjoyed their breakfast every morning, quality is good and the varieties are sufficient. Booked the pizza bar for lunch, the pizza omakase was a brilliant idea so we could try all their signature pizza all at once. Mandarin Bar was a chilled place to get a drink in the evening. Most of the cocktails have tea as part of the ingredients and I really liked it. A nice surprise from MO was that they sent me a bottle of champagne on my birthday. Not sure how they found out but it’s really wonderful and delighted me. I like that guests could contact hotel directly and easily by WhatsApp to request room service or all kind of queries. Response is almost immediate. I have neck pain so I am very picky on pillow choices. I am amazed that MO has a pillow menu with 12 pillow choices. I was so glad that there was one that suits me. For a luxury five stars hotel, their service exceeds my expectations. It was all those personal touches added to their service that made our stay memorable and special. If travellers are looking for a hotel not situated in busy districts like Shibuya or Ginza, Nihonbashi is a great area to stay. MO has direct access to the Mitsukoshimae metro station, and it is only two stations away from Ginza, and half an hour going to Shibuya/ Omotesando area. Plus, there are lots of restaurants nearby, and Mitsukoshi Department Store is next door. Very convenient location.

Great business hotel for short stay

It's a great hotel. Unfortunately since we were in Tokyo mainly for work, we didn't have the time to try out most of the facilities in the hotel. However the concierge staff was very efficient in booking taxi transfers for us. The view of Tokyo at night from the hotel room was spectacular, there is really no need to visit places like Shibuya Sky if you are staying at the MO. The view is even better from your room! The ground lobby is connected to a metro station exit. Convenient for travel within the city

Afternoon Tea Perfection

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This review is for Afternoon Tea at the hotel, as I didn't actually stay there. I took a solo trip to Japan in late May/early June 2024, and while I know there are a lot of different tea experiences in Japan, I wanted to treat myself to afternoon tea. I booked online a couple of days before and put in my food preferences. To add, I am pretty particular about food and have a lot of different preferences. They emailed to follow-up on my preferences, and they confirmed when I arrived. I was mostly taken care of by Renta, but everyone was fantastic. The service was impeccable and the food and tea were amazing. This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I had a beautiful view of the city (though there was some construction outside), and the ambiance was peaceful. Renta was a wonderful host, and I don't think the experience would have been quite as perfect without him. From start to finish, he took care of me, never rushed me, and we were thankfully able to chat quite a bit about Tokyo, traveling, etc. toward the end. I am so happy he was the one who took care of me. He was very sweet and explained the menu and everything I was served. The serving itself was beautiful. I was so sure I wouldn't even eat half the tray of bites, but I ate every single thing because it was so, so, so good, and everything was matched perfectly to my food preferences. I haven't even gotten to the tea -- I am a HUGE tea lover. I don't even drink coffee. Every tea on the menu sounded amazing, and I honestly wanted to try them all. I was downing them left and right. I had 3-4 different iced teas to start and 2 hot teas to finish. All of them were flavorful and delicious. I could've stayed all day and tried them all. I 100% recommend having tea here if you're in Tokyo, whether you live there or are just visiting. And if Renta ever reads this, I hope you make it to NYC soon. :)
