Great experience
Beautiful setting overlooking the beach and great rooms, staff, food, facilities. Very dog-friendly. Restaurant very attentive to food allergies, in our case gluten free. Yes, it is pricey, but the value is there for an unforgettable experience.

A gem on Cape Elizabeth!
Our favorite place to vacation in the U.S! Crescent Beach is beautiful and the resort is a beautiful piece of sea glass nestled close by! The views are amazing and the sense of solitude is food for the soul! The staff is wonderful and the rooms are cozy and well appointed. Wish we could go every weekend!

Best pet friendly hotel - outstanding food. They even have a dog menu.
This is truly a pet friendly hotel. Highly recommended. Easy access to the beach. Large green space for the dogs to stretch their legs. They even provide dog sitting. Food is truly outstanding. In fact we didn’t leave the resort because it had all that we needed.

Nice hotel, but not top caliber
Pros: 1. Location is great. The 5 minute walk to the beach is excellent. We missed the summer season, but caught the fall foliage instead. I think June-Sep is probably just perfect here. In addition, you can get in and out of Portland in 20 minutes. 2. Renovated rooms are very nice. The 2 bedroom cottage was bright and comfortable and is in-line with 4 and 5 star hotels. 3. Staff was warm and friendly - cannot stress this enough that the people who work at the Inn were great Cons: 1. Variability of rooms. We had 2 different rooms.. while the cottage was great, the garden suite was tired, dark and needed remodeling (mildew in the shower, etc...) 2. Dining issues - we had problems getting a table at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. On a rainy Sunday morning, we were told that we could not be accommodated for breakfast, full stop. Hotel allows non guests to book breakfast or dinner via OpenTable. They need to be smarter about how they allocate reservations based on occupancy. 3. Spa never seems to be staffed. I would like to tell you about my spa experience, but I did not have one. After making three phone calls over two days with no one answering, I scrapped my attempt at using the spa. Summary: very average experience and I would sum it up by saying this is a 3.5 hotel in a 4.5 location. If they iron out the restaurant situation, I would have said 4.0 for the hotel.

Beautiful Inn
Inn by the Sea was recommended to us by family that lives nearby. It was beautiful, everyone was so kind, and the rooms were amazing. We will stay there again when we return to the area. I highly recommend Inn by the Sea! Also a plus, it's great for families and they have a nightly fire pit where you can make s'mores!
