Never in the 15 years I have been an event planner have I experienced such superior service! ALL the staff goes above and beyond. I felt like family from the time I pulled up to the front until the time I pulled away from the parking lot.

I stayed there for my cousin's wedding. Beautiful place but they hide the charges when booking or checking in. Be prepared to pay for valet parking at $35 a day regardless if you move the vehicle, which there was plenty of parking, Resort fees when you are not expecting resort amenities and whatever a Community Assessment Fee is. I don't mind coming out of pocket, but none of this was explained beforehand and I spent a total of over $1200 for a weekend to sleep and hang out doing things with family that the bride and groom (and their family) had already paid for.

Returning guests, and it was an overall disappointment. First the good, every employee encountered were amazing. Kudo's to the front desk staff from Croatia. Room and facility was spotless throughout. Where I fault management; for their poor decision to host a wedding at their rear courtyard, loudness of the music was deafening in the room (music ended at 11 pm) but revelers continued to well in the morning. Multiple guests at the Lodge went on their balconies at 2:00 am to yell at the revelers "to take the noise elsewhere". Still disappointed that free parking is no longer offered for guests (valet service is a hassle when guests are active and frequently coming and going). Noticed multiple maintenance/hazards outdoors, at the entrance to the Alpine Kitchen. Bed and pillow were not the most comfortable (personal preference vs other hotels).

This is a great place to stay during your visit to Stowe. We stayed in early fall and the location is great for viewing the beautiful scenery and close to great food, hiking and local shopping.

The front desk misinformed me about a $60 per person breakfast allowance, which I confirmed multiple times. Upon checkout, they denied it and the staff member claimed she never said that. A hotel of this caliber should honor their mistakes instead of arguing with guests over small amounts.
