Gili Lankanfushi

Gili Lankanfushi was the perfect getaway to reenergise and recharge the batteries. From the time we arrived we could not have asked for better or more attentive service. Florian and Rodrigo lead by example and this trickles down to all the staff in their attention to detail and the service they provide. We coined the term that “we were busy doing nothing’ whilst there and that made our meals and the few activities that we did do all the more enjoyable. Very lucky to have a clear day for snorkeling and saw sharks, rays and turtles ! Special mention to Monika, Faiz, Wadde, Charito, and Ibrahim for making our stay special. The biggest thanks goes to Rohan who curated some magnificent wine and cheese tasting - the cellar is a must. We hope to return some day soon.

Our stay at Gili Lankanfushi was truly exceptional — a perfect 10/10 experience, exceeding all our expectations. A special thank you to Afzal for giving us the opportunity to experience the resort. Dinner by the Sea was outstanding; it is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever visited. The spa was equally remarkable — another 10/10 experience — with Anju demonstrating great professionalism and exceptional skill. All the staff were incredibly friendly, and it was unique and memorable that every team member remembered our names. At Fini Foni, the pandan and coconut ice cream is an absolute must‑try. The villas are beautifully maintained, reflecting the resort’s commitment to excellence in every detail. Overall, this was an unforgettable stay, and we are deeply grateful for the experience.

My partner and I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to stay in some of the finest hotels in the world, but this trip was truly exceptional. The accommodation, the property itself, and the food were all excellent. What really set this experience apart, however, was the incredible staff and the genuine care they showed throughout our stay. The service struck the perfect balance between being attentive and professional while remaining warm, friendly, and personal. A special mention must go to Florian and Alif, who consistently went out of their way to check in on us and ensure we were enjoying our stay to the fullest. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made a lasting impression. We chose this location because it offered both peace and tranquillity while remaining convenient, and it exceeded our expectations on both fronts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful time at Gili Lankanfushi where the service was impeccable and the villa was huge and well appointed. The breakfast spread was excellent and we were met with attentive service every morning. The dive centre is professional and guided us through four lovely dives where we saw many turtles and huge manta rays. The dive instructors are very knowledgeable and guided us to many wonderful dive sites where we saw many other marine life. Rohan, the sommelier, helped us with our wine selection and explained many of the finer points of wine tasting with patience and expertise. All in all a fabulous experience in paradise! We definitely plan to go back!

Paradise found! We spent 4 incredible nights at Gili Lankanfushi and it exceeded every expectation. The overwater villa was breathtaking—spacious, private, and with direct access to the crystal-clear lagoon. What truly sets this resort apart, however, is the service. Every staff member made us feel like family, but our Mr. Friday, Bobo, was the absolute highlight. He anticipated our every need and ensured our stay was flawless from start to finish.
