Pimalai Resort & Spa is located on the southern tip of Koh Lanta, far from the north’s commercial buzz. Here the buzz comes from cicadas inhabiting dense tropical vegetation, where contemporary Thai-style rooms and villas nestle into the hillside. Rich orange, pink and lime green Thai fabrics complement dark teakwood flooring and rattan curtains, and throughout the property, pagodas and infinity pools conjure tranquility. At the base of the hills, a wide swath of white-sand beach leads to the Andaman Sea.

We loved our stay here. We had a 2 bed villa with pool and it was fantastic. We were only a couple of minutes walk down to the beach. The resort is set in lovely gardens and the staff were very friendly. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable. And we enjoyed the different dining options. The Seafood restaurant was excellent and the buffet was super value. The Thai restaurant was also very good but their spicy dishes were extremely spicy (so be warned!). And the Hillside bar and restaurant were outstanding too.

My husband and i first stayed at Pimalai 8 years ago. We had a wonderful stay then and just as good stay in November. Its a stunning resort and staff are a credit to the hotel. We stayed in a pool villa high on the hillside with sweeping sea views. The villa was well maintained and beautifully clean. We ate breakfast at Seven Seas everyday, the view was amazing and the food and service were excellent. We had excellent meals at Spice & Rice and Rak Talay, unfortunately the Steak & Wine night at Seven Seas was a big let down. The steak had not been rested so there was a lot of juice on the plate, this was served with soggy frozen chips. We did mention it to our waiter and although he apologised we still had to pay the full price. The App works well for some things but 3 out of 5 of our restaurant bookings were not correct or not made at all. Everytime we turned up for dinner, the restaurant did not have us on their lists, meaning we ended up on emergency tables. Not great. We used the buggies when going to the beach and they were always on time and plenty of them. The beach is beautiful and we loved spending time down there. We did the Ko Rok tour which was excellent, the crew were very experienced and were patient with people who were not confident at snorkelling. We also did a half day tour to "Following Giants" 20 minutes from Pimalai. Its an ethical elephant rescue program and well worth a visit. They pick you up and drop off back at Pimalai. All in all another wonderful holiday, will be back for sure. I must finish my review by giving a big shout out to Wee at the airport, we've met him before and he is still as wonderful as ever. What an incredible Ambassador for Pimalai he is.

We spent Christmas at the Pimali and it really was a Christmas to remember! We arrived on Christmas Eve to a beautiful celebration - welcome cocktails and then dinner and celebrations on the beach including dancers, fire show and even Santa arriving with presents for the kids! The rooms are truly stunning, appointed to an exceptionally high standard and every little detail thought of. Customer care honestly the best I have received, literally every single team member you encounter through the day has a smile and pleasant greeting for you. All the food in the restaurants and breakfast buffet was exceptional. The spa is stunning and I would defintely recommend booking in for a treatment We also took advantage of the Thai cooking lessons and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Pimali is a resort not to be missed!

My husband booked this resort for our family and it was the most incredible experience. We took our daughter to the kids club for some of their activities and she loved it. She especially loved Zee, who even baby sat for us one day when we had a cooking class outside the resort booked! Every morning for breakfast she was greeted by Rut and Sha (who even learnt her secret hand shake) and always got her special kids plate and cup. The only issue we found with Pimalai was sometimes the buggy system was a little slow when requests were put in their app, but we found this might have been due to staff being on leave and increased buggy requests around mealtimes. The resort has their own app which you can make requests through, such as requesting a buggy and room service. It even has an option to report any issues with the room, which they are very fast at addressing. Overall, our stay was incredible. We all loved the experience, including our daughter, and will definitely be booking again in the future. Thank you Pimalai for giving us the most incredible stay ❤️

Had a lovely stay at the Pimalai but wanted to give a special mention to Wee, who went above and beyond to help us at the airport. Even at the end of our trip, Wee noticed us queuing at the check in counter and came over to ask if we needed bag drop only; thanks to him a few people realised they were in the wrong queue and he even insisted on helping us carry our bags. Thank you so much, Wee - it was much appreciated with the long journey we had ahead of us!

The Pimalai Resort and Spa, in Ko Lanta was a fabulous place to relax. Our One bedroom pool villa was exquisite. It overlooked the Adaman sea and was breathtaking. The accommodations are very spacious and can sleep two couples rather comfortably if anyone is looking to cut costs. The Thai staff was very friendly and helpful. The cuisine was up market and delicious! Great spa, beach, pools, water sports, land sports, and restaurants.
