Great staff but food and hotel need a little work. Regardless, this location is great. The staff makes it worth it. Every single person that works there is absolutely amazing. My top are the folks at Rendezvous, Bordeaux and World Cafe. Go and have a great time!

Mercedes was an amazing server for us near the beach! Took care of all of our food and drink needs. Speaks both English and Spanish very very well! Dreams was an amazing December vacation, recommend for all families during the holiday season!

The rooms were nice and staff friendly but food was unbelievably bad. We tried every restaurant and everything was levels below even like a chilis in the U.S. We stopped eating there after the third day because everything was terrible despite paying for it. The main pool always has some awkward act singing or playing drums but anyone not with a toddler looks to be. Just annoyed since it's so very loud. The music carries to adult pool. I think this place is 100% about parents with young kids. If you have pre teen or older, suggest somewhere else. The grand solmar pacific dunes was much nicer all around.

Mercedes was our server in the Perferred Beach Club area today where we spent the entire day and he was excellent! The drinks were amazing and his service was fast and friendly! He was busy all day and he made sure we were always full on drinks doing well! I Recommend the Preferred area 10 out of 10 with Mercedes!

in my opinion resort was average. Rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable. the couch is showing its wear. The adult pool/bar was great for quite times in the afternoon. Ezecele was a one man show. Taking orders for food and drink, making drink while suggesting new one if asked and delivering. Restaurants seemed to be understaffed. Waiters were scurrying around sometime forgetting food or water. World cafe which was the buffet food was cold unless cooked while waiting, but they did have smoothies to order. Portofino had Lasagna that was not hot but their pizza was amazing. Wished they served pizza at lunch but they were only open for dinner. Seaside grill was great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Carlos served us dinner realizing it was my birthday. We left after dinner and he came running after us with a plate that they had written Happy Birthday with icing on it. Had some cake and a sparkler type candle on it. Barefoot grill staff and food was great for lunch. Coco Cafe was good for snacks, coffee, ice cream. Bordeaux and Oceana had good food and service. Beach was very nice to walk but not swimmable. Firepit was a plus with entertainment in the evening. Thought it was strange that a Mexican resort didn't have a Mexican restaurant. But they did a Mexican show closer to the beach which included a Great Buffet (and food was hot) with Mariachi band and Mexican show afterwards. Unfortunately, it was a cool night and people were getting their coats and left right after eating. We saw that they had propane heaters in storage. They should have used them so people could have enjoyed the show. They also had current movies by the beach but no one was there because it was too cool in the evening, while we were there, probably for most shows by the beach.
