Overall our swim out ocean suite was fantastic. Ruffo’s service was unmatched. he made us feel like family. You were not able to make dinner reservations at this resort. We’ve Visited other dreams resorts. Never had any issues there. Average dinner was 2 to 3 hours. A lot of waiting. Our children fell asleep on two separate dinners because things were taking so long. I’m unsure if this is how it always is or they were just overly busy.

We stayed at Dreams Los Cabos end of March 2025. We went with my son (5) daughter (2) and mother in law. We have stayed at Dreams twice, Secrets twice and an Iberostar and Paradisus. Out of all of our experiences in several different cities, this was by far our least favorite. If you do not have children I would highly recommend an adults only resort instead. Pros - We had a suite with our own pool. Amazing views and our favorite server Ruffo was able to bring us lunch/drinks all day. Much better service than near the pool. I would highly recommend booking this type of room especially if you have a child who naps. My 2 year old could nap and we could swim right outside! - Food at restaurants was generally good and had several great cocktails. - Bordeaux - adults only - was very good and had a beautiful interior/vibe. - Short ride from airport. 20-25 minutes. - Saw whales, iguanas, crabs, sea urchins, pelicans daily - amazing! - If you’re ever in San Jose del Cabo on a Thursday the Art Walk downtown is a MUST! We’ve gone multiple times and it’s incredible. Feels very safe. - Had high chairs and pack and plays for babies. -Clean rooms Cons - Woke up around 6am with my daughter and almost all beach chairs surrounding pool were taken/saved with towels etc. At times there were families with literally no where to go or sit or even set down their towels. - No reservations for any restaurants - long wait times and standing in line. Very difficult for young children. - Bars did not open til 10am (beach and pool). Because we woke up so early, I wanted a mimosa at like 8am and couldn’t (I know, first world problems). - Slow service at restaurants. Sometimes we were not served water for 30+ minutes. Dinners took 2-3 hours. Very hard to keep the littles entertained that long. - Buffet food was not very good and many times the trays were running out of food. - Tried ordering room service for my MIL who was staying with the kids one night and room service was no longer available. - Not many options/restaurants on property. Portofina (Italian) Oceana (seafood) Seaside grill (steak) Bordeaux (French - adults only) - Coco Cafe - coffee shop in lobby consistently had a line. - [ ] Could not swim in ocean. Waves were massive/dangerous. We hardly went down to the ocean

What a marvelous resort for the whole family! Dreams offers daily shows that are great for all ages, relaxing afternoon music, plenty of activities for the children and the pool lovers, and a lot of surprises. The food is great, and the service is excellent. The children will love you for choosing this type of resort. The grounds are pretty, and the pools are multiple and varied. What else can you ask from the resort?

Resort is beautiful but the food and dining was a nightmare. Room service wa a horrible experience, food is limited and the wait times are crazy. The food wasn't bad, just not consistent. Ordered the same thing different days and would get two completely different meals. I'd find something I like, order it again and be surprised by something that wasn't as good. All of it seems to be from being understaffed. The staff and people who work there are amazing, friendly and doing their best, there's just not enough of them. This creates an uncomfortable experience for the guests. If they fixed that issue, I'd go back but my food experience is what hurt this stay for me.

My husband and I went to Dreams for 9 days. On the whole, the food was not good. We had maybe 2 decent dinners total. The drinks were inconsistent. Lots of staff were not friendly as is usually the case in Mexico, and were talking amongst themselves, they seemed distracted. The best bartender was at the Barefoot Grill-I wish I knew his name. We had chicken quesadillas and chips and guac every day at the barefoot grill, and they were fantastic. The two that were cooking there were very pleasant and the quesadillas were very good. At the non-adult pool, if you could get a seat, (people reserve with a hat, book towel or bottle of sunscreen already by 7am and don’t show until 10) the service was horrible. We were only sure one day who our server was, and he would look right at us and our empty drinks and walk right by, multiple times. The hotel on the whole is dingy. There were stains on the floors in the stairwell that were there the whole time we were there. The rooms were clean enough but couches stained and dated, service inconsistent as far as towel replacement. No iron or ironing board in the room. I had to call down. And then they took it back again, so I called the next day, got a broken ironing board that didn’t collapse, ironed all of my clothes so they could take it back, and they never did. There it stood in our room the rest of the trip. The entertainment team were fantastic and worked hard to engage people. Manuel, Nico, Jessica and Nirvana were awesome. We had Mercedes for a server one day and he was awesome. On our last day, we had Isabelle for a server and she was great as well. Otherwise, they seemed short staffed and not friendly. If a lot of the staff is like this, it must be a management issue. We will not be back to this resort. Not for the price we paid, that’s for sure.
