Our family has been loyal members since the days when the brand was still part of AMResorts, now under Hyatt, and over the years we chose these resorts because they consistently delivered what felt like true excellence. Unfortunately, during our most recent stay we clearly noticed a decline in quality and attention to detail. The resort is still good, but it no longer feels like the premium experience it once was. We had two rooms reserved for our family and both had multiple issues. In one room there was no iron, the TV did not work, and the jacuzzi hydromassage was not functioning. In the other room, the air conditioning was a daily problem and maintenance had to come repeatedly throughout our stay to address it. The jacuzzi hydromassage in that room also did not work. Additionally, neither room had bathrobes or slippers available, which used to be a standard amenity in previous stays. Another major disappointment was that the pool bar and the Castaways restaurant area were closed for renovations during our entire stay. While we understand that maintenance and improvements are necessary, it is frustrating that guests are paying full price while key facilities are unavailable. If these closures were in preparation for Spring Break, it raises the question of why guests staying the week prior are expected to absorb that inconvenience at the same price. We also feel that the value of the membership has significantly diminished. The program promotes savings on reservations, but in practice it is often difficult to receive assistance when calling to book, and in many cases better prices can easily be found online. In the past, members at least had access to Preferred Club benefits, which added value to the experience. Now those benefits require an additional charge, making it difficult to understand what advantage the membership currently provides. During our stay we attended a membership renewal presentation. The sales representative (Eduardo) was initially friendly and attentive, but once we expressed concerns and mentioned that we were unsure about renewing, his attitude changed noticeably and he became dismissive and rude. This was disappointing and not the level of professionalism one would expect from a brand associated with Hyatt. With so many excellent resort options available in the Riviera Maya, experiences like this unfortunately make us seriously reconsider renewing our membership in the future. That said, the one aspect that continues to stand out is the exceptional service provided by many members of the staff. We would especially like to recognize Neftalí (server) and Luis (chef) from Spice restaurant, Ricardo (server) from Tamarindo Mexican Restaurant, Jose from the buffet, and especially Edwin from the buffet. Edwin has a remarkable way of making guests feel genuinely welcome and appreciated. Team members like them are truly the ones who uphold the reputation of the brand and make the stay memorable.

The resort is fantastic! The food is excellent, cocktails top shelf, beds are comfy, cleanliness is impeccable, staff are friendly and helpful. Litzy and David from the entertainment team try to keep everyone involved in activities. The water aerobics and crazy games are fun. Avital was an excellent yoga teacher. The Amstar rep. Jerry was very informative. The pool bar bartenders work so hard and deserve a kudos!! I would highly recommend this resort it is small enough to get around easily, yet spacious enough to not feel over crowded.

We came with a big group of 25 Ladies for 9 days. The entertainment staff were amazing. David and Saul went above and beyond for us all week long that we were there. They made us feel like they really cared and made our time there so fun. They couldn’t be there the day we left so they had another entertainment staff put up our group picture on the screen and tell us how much they enjoyed our time together. It was very thoughtful. If you go to this resort make sure to tell them hi from the Vermont girls. Also Aljandrea started working there a few days before we got there. She was so sweet and kind and made sure to say bye the day we left. Dylan, Benjamin, Antonio, all part of the entertainment team were wonderful. Antonio and Alejandra both work by the pool working very hard getting our drinks. They both would go above and beyond for us. And were very hard workers. Their boss Emilio also came over to say hi and so we could let them know how great they were. Jose worked so hard by the pool cleaning it up if anyone needed anything he would find it. He always would come over and chat with us and made us feel so welcomed there. You never saw him without a smile. Lourdes was our waitress in the preferred section of the buffet and also a few times. She always had a smile and welcomed you as soon as she saw you. She was such a joy. If she saw you coming with your plate she would come grab it and set it on the table. How sweet is that. Oscar was our preferred club manager. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. He would work hard to get us all into a restaurant at the same time. And he came through for us Everytime. There were 25 of us. That is not an easy task. Over all this resort was amazing. Our room was clean and the food was so yummy. My favorite restaurant was the French one. I would definitely come back. I want to thank all of the employees who put up with 25 woman. We really appreciated everything you all did for us. I hope they all know that!!

We very liked our experience at the Jade Resort. Special mention to Lourdes from the Buffet, excellent personalized service and always smiling ! Another special mention to Lourdez, our cleaning lady who did excellent work every day ! Food was excellent (we tried every restaurant) and the buffet always full of good choices and great quality ! Service bar at the preferred pool was excellent, but not so many chair for all the clients as the beach is very small, rocky and full of sargasses. We had an excellent week till spring break start (we didn’t know, it’s not like that in Canada), full of young people partying everywhere, lots of noise, big crowd everywhere drinking, etc. We received an excellent service from OSCAR, manager from the preferred, from the start by changing our room till our departure to change hotel and transport to go somewhere more quiet for our last 4 days.
