Great property. We arrived on February 7th. Had an amazing dinner tonight at the Mexican restaurant: Tamarindo Raciel was the waiter and his captain: Fernanda. Throughout dinner we had top notch service. Our glasses were never empty, food was great. I promised Raciel that I'll post my review tonight. Thank you Raciel, family of 5, room 7309 We will see you on Thursday and enjoy your day off on Wednesday! 😗

We were already staying in Puerto Morelos for a few weeks and we wanted to visit a resort with a great Super Bowl to spend the weekend. Dreams Jade did an amazing job on game day! We only stayed 2 nights and only ate one dinner (Mercure) and it was very good. My favorite thing about this resort is that there's a separate 'Adults Only" pool and beach area for Preferred Guests, for those of us who prefer not to be around other people's children. There's also a section in the buffet where they don't seat families. It's a great option. Jose, our server on the terrace in the buffet (not adults only) was enthusiastic, fun and spirited. We spent most of our time at the Preferred pool, as you might have guessed. This pool is heated, by the way, which was very welcome, as Puerto Morelos had some day on the chillier side this week! Francisco, the pool conceirge, did a great job making sure everyone was happy, comfortable and had a dry towel when we needed one. We got a nice upgrade from UVC to an oceanfront suite, and the view was as fabulous as the room as spacious. This is a great resort, top to bottom!

This was our best family vacation as a family of 5! We travel often, so I will focus on the things I would have wanted to know going into arriving, but we have stayed at 10+ all inclusive resorts with our family, including other Dreams and everyone, including grandparents said this was their favorite. Every restaurant was good, what made them great depended on the service. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of our AMAZING waiter at the Italian restaurant, but when he saw 3 kids, he immediately brought out 2 entrees to split so everyone could get some food in their bellies while waiting for food. The French restaurant was our favorite, but its adult only, so you need to plan to send the kids to the Explorers Club. Dress codes are very loosely enforced except for men wearing tank tops in the buffet. For some reason that was the hill waitstaff were going to die on. Not the thongs with see through cover ups, or shorts and flip flops while fine dining… The family suites are perfect if you have more than 4 people. 1 king, 2 queens and 2 bathrooms. The only downside to the room (and all rooms) is that there is a step down to the seating area. We were ok with it but our 75 year old travel companion tripped and fell on the first day. The towel game didn’t really exist. Towels don’t come out until 7:30. They say they will take them if no one is there within 30 minutes. I never saw that, but maybe they meant if there were just towels and no personal belongings? Carlos was an amazing server poolside. Always stayed on top of our drinks and even got me a menu for my daughter to get her hair braided on the beach. When we went for our hike for braids, he checked in to see if we needed drinks for the walk :) Explorers Club staff were wonderful! Our kids went everyday for various activities and they just messaged us on Whats App if they wanted to leave earlier than planned. There were lots of arts and crafts, Kids Master Chef, and water polo. The Sargassum is hit or miss. Traveling anywhere in Cancun is going to get you Sargassum on the beach, except Playa Mujeres. Here it seemed to be an issue about every other day. The beach is rocky, but if you walk to the privileged area, there is a small section that isn’t rocky. The air conditioning was spotty at first. The first two nights we were HOT in the room. It was actually cooler outside than in. We spoke with the concierge and they were able to lower it a degree which was just enough to keep it comfortable. The only disappointment came when we had to extend our trip due to weather. It was already high stress and wasn’t as easy as just extending our stay with the front desk. We had to go online, book for the night(s), then go “check out” the next morning and ask to stay in our same room. The stress of the unknown seemed unnecessary. You would think a resort could just extend the stay especially since they said they had rooms available. It seemed odd we had to jump through so many hoops up until check out time of our original stay just to stay in our same room. I highly recommend getting the Hyatt Inclusive app. You can request just about anything through the app. We always had our room cleaned and restocked earlier than other people we were traveling with because they refused to use it.
