Dreams Jade Resort & Spa

The pool area was great, staff was very accommodating. Buffet choices were pretty good with a wide selection. Entertainment needs some work. A casino night for family resort doesn’t seem appropriate as an example.

Jade Riviera Cancun was once an amazing resort. Unfortunately, since becoming Dreams Jade Resort & Spa, the experience has steadily gone downhill. We’ve been loyal guests and have returned every year, but this last visit showed noticeable decline. PROS Beautiful grounds and beach areas – Still one of the resort’s strongest features. Friendly, hardworking staff – The employees truly bust their butts and do their best with what they’re given. Spa and wellness facilities – Well done and enjoyable. Family and adult options – Preferred Club areas offer some separation and flexibility. CONS Outdated pools – While large and beautiful, they’re not well maintained. Pools are not properly scrubbed, and broken light fixtures are left unattended. Lack of activities & evening entertainment – Activities are posted but often not followed through due to poor setup or lack of facilities. Inconsistent room cleanliness – We booked six rooms. Some received daily cleaning, others had sporadic service, and turndown was inconsistent—regardless of tipping. Food quality & availability – Buffet frequently ran out of basics like bacon and hash browns. Restaurant menus were decent but clearly downgraded compared to previous years. Slow or inconsistent restaurant service – Service was hit or miss throughout the stay. Beverage issues – Beer on tap was inconsistent due to small kegs, ice occasionally ran out, and mixed drinks were overly sweet and lacked flavor. Bottom Line This resort is still great for relaxing vibes, beautiful scenery, and friendly staff, but don’t expect the level of luxury or consistency it once offered. With better management, it could easily return to its former glory.

Every member of the Dreams Jade staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We were very pleased with the food as well, especially the breakfast buffet, lunch at Carnival, Spice and the 24 hour Coco Cafe. I want to give a shout out to Miguel who put on a show along with a great dining experience at Spice. Our grandchildren were in awe of his spatula and utensil twirling talent.

Luis at the main bar outside was so quick with a smile and joke for my kids, one actually cried when we left. The family will definitely be back. Gracias Luis!

Located in the hotel zone of Puerto Morelos, Cancun (35 min drive from the CUN airport), this resort provided a great positive experience during our 2025 end Dec trip.
