Nice Resort, showing its age
This was our 4th time visiting this resort. Met some friends with whom we first visited Jade 15 years ago. The resort is well maintained, though showing some signs of aging. The buffet restaurants were a big disappointment this time around. Selection was unimpressive and the food was not hot. Really enjoyed Capers (Italian) and Spice (Asian) restaurants. Tamarindo (Mexican) was our least favorite. We paid more for the "preferred" package but I'm not sure how much of a value it was. It got us a nice ala carte breakfast at the Mercure restaurant and access to the preferred lounge but the benefit we wanted most was the preferred swimming pool. It was so crowded every day we never got chairs. We saw no attempt to make sure that only preferred guests were using the pool. They need to fix this or add more chairs. We ended up using the main pool with lots of kids just to get a place to chill. The people were great. No complaints there at all. But for the money I think we will consider some other options in the future.

Loved this resort!
Just returned home after spending a wonderful 7 days with friends at Dream Jade. It is pretty close to the airport and Puerto Morales for shopping, additional restaurants and dolphins! We loved the resort! It is very clean; the rooms are spacious. Lots of entertainment at night and fun activities during the day. The beach is beautiful......there was quite a bit of seaweed, but they were removing daily. Shout out to Antonio our waiter on the beach, Jose y Miquel at the pool, Antonio the Aqua Aerobics/pool entertainment along with Dave and Izby both Aqua Aerobics/pool entertainment.......they were all amazing. All the staff at the resort seemed to really like their jobs and enjoyed the people staying there. We love the Dreams resorts, no towel cards, no restaurant reservations, or wrist bands. We will definitely return! Thank you all for a great trip and new memories!
