Great property. We arrived on February 7th. Had an amazing dinner tonight at the Mexican restaurant: Tamarindo Raciel was the waiter and his captain: Fernanda. Throughout dinner we had top notch service. Our glasses were never empty, food was great. I promised Raciel that I'll post my review tonight. Thank you Raciel, family of 5, room 7309 We will see you on Thursday and enjoy your day off on Wednesday! 😗 I am adding to my original review above to include the rest of the amazing people working there. Preferred Pool: special shout out to: Francisco and Melvin (pool concierges) We were a family of 5 and they always found chairs for us. My 81 years old mother in law had her arm in the sling and had trouble getting around. Alejandra was very quick with the drinks and super pleasant. VIP Supervisor: Ernesto did all he could to assist with room troubles Concierge Gabriela always helpfull and pleasant Mercure preferred breakfast & Castaways: Cruz, Antonio, Enrique Hostess: Karen Mercure dinner: Eduardo and supervisor Nora Our first dinner was a flop but he recovered the situation beautifully and we went to see him a few times. Italian: Erick MANAGER Paulina: Special thank you for helping us recover the vacation after my mother in law's fall. We stayed for 12 nights. You get to know the staff and they you. Their attention to detail and recollection of people's food preferences was amazing. Half the time we didn't need to order, they new what we are having. They would also accommodate all kinds of requests in combining seperate menu dishes to make one. Castaways had a Greek salad on the menu and ceviche. Try combining those two into one dish-amazing! My husband and son went to the Superbowl party and loved it. Best so far. I can't say enough positive things. Suites were great, beach really nice, incredible food. If you arder something and you don't like it, ask for something else. Treat the staff with respect! People will always find something to complain about. Restaurants are first come first serve. Either go early as they open to get in right away or go later, but do not complain about wait times. Take a pager and go have a drink and there is always the buffet. Your Vacation will be what you make it. Thanks!

Excellent holiday experience! The food, amenities and staff are amazing. We booked preferred rooms for two of us and the in-laws. There is adults only pool for preferred bookings, which is quite serine. Thanks everyone for making this a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Carlos, who organised room decoration and restaurant reservation for my husband’s birthday, as well as a room change - amazing service.

We bought a day pass to this resort (through ResortPass.com) and had a fabulous day. The pass gives you access form 9-5 for US $79. The pool areas was clean, there were plenty of loungers available with large pool towels. There were activities you could join if you wanted to. I tried the Zumba and Aqua aerobics class run by Suel. He gave good instructions in English and Spanish and made it easy to follow the moves. We wanted to take out a paddleboard but it was a bit rough so instead we went out on the small catamaran which was captained for us, again included in the day pass. It was fun seeing the resort from the sea. The food was excellent, better than other resorts we have visited. The buffet breakfast had so much choice it was hard to know what to choose and it was all good quality. We also managed to squeeze in a late lunch at 4pm before we left, again a huge choice with fresh meat/fish cooked on the grill in front of you. The cocktails flowed all day long at the pool bar and there was no limit on the choice or number. You could also have wine your meal if you wanted. We loved it so much we booked again today. It's a great alternative when the sargassum is taking over the beaches as it was the last few days.
