Nicely kept property but if you are looking for that beautiful turquoise blue water water to swim in, this isn't the place for you. 90% of the entrance into the water from the beach is rocky and they have a serious seaweed problem that is not limited to the seaweed season. We just came back over the Christmas season and it was a huge issue. Also, we all got sick from the food and brought a stomach bug home with us. Nice staff and great activities but not the Caribbean experience we were hoping for. Also, I had to see a doctor. They had one onsite, which was great, but it ended up costing me $725 for the visit and meds. My daughter loved the kids club.

Our 5th visit to Dreams Jade was just as wonderful as all the others. We booked a preferred ocean view room and was upgraded to a Governors Suite overlooking the lawn area. It was fun to watch the wedding celebrations throughout the week. Our butler, Lorrayne was great! She always had a smile on her face and made sure we were well taken care of. We spent most of our time on the preferred beach and pool. Misael made sure our drinks were always full and what we loved. Melvin had our cabana at the preferred pool all prepared each day when we ventured from the beach up to the pool. Having the cabana was a lifesaver as the chair game is horrible at the preferred pool. All of our meals were wonderful and satisfying. We enjoyed a lovely couples massage from Ezy an Carmen. It was so relaxing on our last night before we flew home the next day. We are already counting down till our next visit.

We stayed at Dreams Jade and overall had a mixed experience, largely due to food allergy management during the day. I have celiac disease and require a strict gluten-free diet. Upon check-in, I was given a bracelet to identify my allergy, which initially gave me confidence. Dinner service absolutely lived up to expectations — every restaurant we visited (Italian, Mediterranean, French, Mexican, Teppanyaki) was fantastic. Staff were knowledgeable, careful, and accommodating, and I felt safe eating every night. Unfortunately, breakfast and lunch were a very different experience. Breakfast at the buffet had extremely limited gluten-free options, and it was difficult to find staff willing or able to help. When I did ask questions, staff often seemed rushed, didn’t fully answer, or assumed that eggs and fruit were sufficient for an entire week. Nothing had allergy markers, except for a small GF pastry and bread section. Lunch was the most challenging part of the stay. Barefoot Grill had no safe options, leaving Castaways as the only consistent choice. By midweek, I was genuinely upset each day at lunch watching my group enjoy different options while my only options were pizza and plain chicken and rice. One waiter even joked about it, which felt dismissive rather than supportive. I was also not allowed to take my lunch poolside to eat with my group of they choice to grab something poolside, which was isolating. On Friday, during the seafood boil, I specifically confirmed with staff that the food was gluten-free — only to then watch beer being poured directly onto the grill and food. Dreams Jade clearly has the ability to handle food allergies well, as demonstrated during dinner service. However, breakfast and lunch operations urgently need better training, clearer allergy protocols, and more inclusive options. Guests with medical dietary restrictions should not feel anxious, excluded, or near tears when trying to eat during the day.
