The staff my friends and I met during our one week stay at Dreams Jade were amazing. Melvin, Alejandra and Ethan at the Preferred Pool; Cruz and Antonio at the French Restaurant, Mercure, for breakfast… there were many others as well and all excellent, caring staff to make our trip wonderful. The best dinner restaurants were by far, Mercure and Spice, and the Carnival buffet was a solid buffet with quality food and desserts. The Italian Restaurant was my least favourite. I had the chicken Parmesan with a side of linguini which had very little flavour. The Preferred two queen bed room was lovely, and the ocean view from the deck was breathtaking. The jetted tub on the deck was worn and dated. Overall a lovely resort.

My stay at Dreams Jade Resort & Spa was, unfortunately, one of the most alarming and disappointing experiences I have ever had at a hotel—especially considering I was traveling with my family and young children. On February 13, 2026, when we returned to our room approx 8:15 pm Building 4, we immediately noticed a strong chemical smell, similar to an electrical fire, along with a visible haze in the air. We all experienced eye and throat irritation. We checked the electrical appliances and found no issues. When we called the front desk, a maintenance worker arrived, stepped inside for only a few seconds, and told us it was “just fumigation in the basement that came through the ac vents.” His only advice was to open the balcony door and turn on the fan, assuring us the smell would disappear in five minutes. It did not disappear. In fact, after 15 minutes, the air quality had not improved at all, and one of my children felt burning in his throat after briefly entering the room. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s complete lack of response. When we called again, they simply repeated the same instructions and refused to send anyone else to evaluate the room. We asked to speak with someone in authority and they just circle back to different persons and we have to explain the same over and over . Eventually went to the lobby ourselves by 9:30 pm, but no one was willing to inspect the room . The manager on site was very condescend and trying to look that i wasn't a big deal. She never came to ou room to look herself. Because the hotel failed to take the situation seriously and we believed there was a genuine health risk, we contacted the local health department. They arrived, approx 10:30 pm inspected the room, and declared it uninhabitable due to chemical contaminants. Only after their intervention—around 11:00 PM—did the hotel finally offer to move us to another room. During check-out on February 14, we explained everything again to management. Although they apologized, they offered no compensation, no corrective actions, and no transparency. I specifically requested the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for the product used, but they claimed the fumigation was done by an external contractor and that they would request the information. As of today, I have received nothing. This incident not only ruined our stay—it put our health at risk and exposed a serious lack of safety protocols, oversight, and responsibility on the part of the hotel. A resort of this category should have strict controls over fumigation procedures, ventilation, and, above all, an immediate and competent response to potential chemical exposure. By that point, the stress, the uncertainty, and the complete lack of support from the hotel had taken a real toll on us. I had a very hard time going back to sleep after everything they put us through. What should have been a relaxing family vacation turned into an exhausting and distressing night. I would not return to this hotel, and I cannot recommend it to any family that values their safety.

We booked Teppanyaki at the resort. Migel was fantastic. Similar to many other shows, he put on a great show. Spoke very well and the food was perfectly cooked. Everyone got equal portions and ensured the specialty diets were addressed accurately..

Enjoyed our stay at dreams. The room was nice, the staff was kind and helpful. The pool was a great temperature and had entertainment, however, the beach had too much rocks and seaweed so we couldn’t enjoy the beach much. There are a lot of restaurant options, which is nice. Tonight we dined at spice and had an awesome hibachi experience with Miguel. He was lively, fun, friendly and honestly the most talented hibachi chef I’ve ever had even in the states.
