recently left a resort from a five day vacation. Would rate the property at poor or below average. The first night we arrived. We were checked into our room and there was a slight smell. Disregarded it. The next morning when we woke up, the entire unit smelled like feces. The sewer was either backing up or the vent was not working properly. went to the front desk, explained the situation. They said that they would move me, but we couldn’t get into our new room until four or five in the afternoon. also said they would upgrade us to premiered members for the weekend. Since it was going to cost us almost 2 days. I said that wasn’t sufficient and asked to speak to a manager. After waiting quite some time a manager came out and tried to do the exact same thing. I said that was not sufficient and preferred status simply was nothing more than a gimmick. All preferred status allowed you to do was go into one single area that was preferred that had better liquors. Well, we had been in the preferred section the night before without any issue. All you had to do was simply open the door. After quite some time the manager and I agreed for them to upgrade me to a oceanfront room and preferred status. We were checked into that room within a couple hours. And moved on with our vacation. Well for the next three days we smelled the same odor just to a lesser degree. Didn’t have housekeeping, but twice during our entire stay and had to ask for that repeatedly. The restaurants are mediocre at best. All the food is the same and all restaurants. It basically comes from the buffet and is changed slightly. Everything is overcooked in all locations. All well liquors are bottom shelf. you had to ask for anything better. they alternated which restaurants were open on different days. The the beach is very rocky and has seagrass all along it. If you’re looking for someplace to go with mediocre food and just to get drunk, this might work for you. by far the least nice resort I’ve stayed!

From the moment we arrived at Dreams Jade, we knew we were in for an exceptional experience. After a long day of travel, we were warmly greeted with refreshing cold washcloths—a thoughtful touch that instantly rejuvenated us. The immaculate lobby set the tone for what was to come, with its stunning design and welcoming ambiance. The check-in process was seamless thanks to the efficient and friendly front desk staff. Our bags were promptly delivered to our room, which exceeded all expectations. The accommodations were spacious, very clean, and offered breathtaking ocean views. The room service was top-notch, with thorough cleaning each morning and fresh towels delivered in the evening. The resort’s beach was lovely, though some areas were a bit rocky. That said, the pool areas more than made up for it. With multiple heated, pristine, and spacious pools, there was always a perfect spot to relax. The abundance of poolside towels and the attentive waitstaff elevated the experience. And the drinks? Absolutely fantastic —crafted with care and far superior to the overly strong, unbalanced beverages we’ve encountered at other destinations. Dining at Dreams Jade was a highlight of our stay. The variety and quality of the restaurants were outstanding. Whether it was Italian, Mexican, Asian, Mediterranean, or the extensive daily buffet, every meal was a treat. If you visit the main buffet restaurant, be sure to look for Geyler. His friendliness, warmth, and exceptional service will brighten your day. We looked forward to seeing him every day. The entertainment offerings were equally impressive, with something for everyone—bingo, circus performances, karaoke, and more. Despite the number of families at the resort, the grounds were so expansive that it never felt crowded, and kids had dedicated activities to keep them engaged. Even when faced with monsoon rains during our visit, the resort made it easy to stay comfortable. Every room is provided with an umbrella, but an added bonus is that all the units are connected through covered hallways. This meant we could easily move between our room and other areas of the resort without getting drenched—an incredibly thoughtful design feature that made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff also worked tirelessly to keep the walkways dry, and less slippery which was truly appreciated. The resort also boasts convenient on-site shops, offering everything from souvenirs to clothing at reasonable prices. For families, there’s an incredible kids’ area with pool tables, air hockey, and games, while adults can enjoy the sports bar with its large TVs playing the latest games. Venturing off the property was easy, with a short ride to the market in Puerto Morales. Though the roads were a bit slow due to speed bumps, the trip was well worth it. We also took advantage of the excursion options. Swimming with dolphins was a highlight—an unforgettable experience where the animals were clearly well cared for. Beach massages were another standout. The massage we had by the ocean was hands down the best we’ve ever had, surpassing anything at home. While we did purchase a fishing excursion from a beach vendor, the experience could have been improved with a larger boat and more readily available life jackets. However, the staff ensured our safety by retrieving life jackets when requested and we caught a shark and a Barracuda to name a few. Every detail of our stay at Dreams Jade was carefully curated to provide an extraordinary experience. From the immaculate beach, groomed daily, to the incredible staff who went above and beyond, we felt truly pampered. This resort is not a 4.5-star—it’s a 5-star experience in every way. We’ll absolutely be returning and highly recommend Dreams Jade to anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable getaway.

Miguel was the best hibachi chef I've had. Grouper is amazing! Very interactive with all the guests at the table. Only thing missing is the yum yum sauce. 10/10 would recommend booking one to two nights during your stay at dreams jade!!!!!!!

Had a great time at the Jade Dreams resort! All of the amenities are easily accessible and the pools/beaches are excellent! I highly recommend trying the hibachi and if possible try to get Miguel he is an excellent cook and a great entertainer! We loved our dinner with him! And if you want an excellent drink, try to find Saul he is a true mixologist and will make you a drink based on your drink preferences. He is an exceptional bartender and extremely knowledgeable. I would also recommend seeking out Eduardo if you want someone to make you drinks during the day he is very friendly and will remember what you like. All in all I would highly recommend visiting the resort 😃

Miguel was awesome with his presentation and the food was delicious! He was very funny and was as funny as he was talented with his knives and spatulas! I would recommend this for every guest! We had steak and chicken and wish I would of tried the fish too!
