We came to Dreams Jade as a family of 50+ people for a wedding. The wedding was beautiful and other than a few minor issues such as the WiFi not being great and them doing a lot of construction during peak season and having the lobby and some pools closed, we had a good time. The food and drinks were delicious but honestly the staff is really what sold this place. I don’t think my trip would have been the same without Suhjei and David from the activities team, and Edwin from the buffet. Every morning I would go down for breakfast and be greeted by Edwin and his amazing energy. He would make us special drinks, carry my plate to the table for me, and he always made sure I had a rack to put my purse on. He made us feel so special every morning and we looked forward to seeing him and we were sad if we missed him. Suhjei and David at at the activities pool were also just the best. They remembered everyone’s name, they made everyone feel included, and overall they brought the good vibes to the pool for volleyball, waterpolo, crazy games, and much more. After breakfast with Edwin we would immediately go down to the pool to look for David and Suhjei. Without these three people my trip would not have been the same as the main thing we looked forward to everyday was seeing them. Thank you Edwin, David, and Suhjei. We love you and miss you already!!

Dreams has a great reputation and we really loved the quality of the restaurants and the rooms but found the hard sales pitch of timeshares to leave a bad taste. The pools are great but there is very limited seating and intense seat saving so it's pointless to look for a spot in the later morning. My Mom was with us and has a disability and it was very challenging to navigate around the pools trying to find seats. We spent most days on the beach for this reason but the water is rough and has a hard pull to it so not safe for swimming. We enjoyed the nighttime entertainment and found the shows to be really good in comparison to some other AI resorts we've been to. We took a few day trips into Puerto Morelos to enjoy snorkelling and shopping and would definitely recommend spending some time off resort to enjoy the community.

Fun atmosphere! Our group of 7 did the teppanyaki table and Luis was a great host. He was accommodating to food allergies at the table and made the experience very interactive. The food was delish too!

We had a family dinner at Spice. The food was great and service was even better. Louis cooked a great meal and the show was very good.

Arrival & Transportation I wish the hotel offered its own transportation service to and from Cancun Airport. The arrival process was quite overwhelming—Uber isn’t allowed, which we didn’t know, and we were suddenly surrounded by so many transportation vendors all bombarding us with offers. It was stressful, especially with luggage and a child. Check-In Experience Once we arrived at the resort, everything turned around quickly. Keyla checked us in and she was wonderful—warm, patient, and answered every question we had about the resort. Our bags were handled for us, and we even got into our room a little early, which was greatly appreciated after the hectic airport experience. Dining 🍣 Spice – Asian Restaurant / Hibachi We lined up around 4:30 PM for same-day hibachi reservations and were able to get a spot. (Only the hibachi requires reservations—everything else is walk-in.) Fabiola, the hostess, was amazing—friendly, organized, and had excellent English. Our hibachi chef, Miguel, was fantastic: incredibly entertaining, skilled with the grill, and kept adults and kids engaged the entire time. The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly portioned. We also returned another night just to dine at the regular side of Spice. The ambiance was beautiful, surrounded by water, and again the food was very good. Something I loved: the restaurants offer smaller portion sizes by default. This allowed us to sample multiple items and really reduced food waste. If you want more of something, you can always order an additional serving. 🍝 Capers – Italian Restaurant This was the biggest disappointment. Food was sub-par. Service was lackluster compared to other restaurants. The pasta tasted like something I could easily make at home. The osso bucco tasted boiled rather than braised. Desserts—especially the tiramisu—had almost no flavor. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad tiramisu until this. Would not recommend Capers. 🌮 Tamarindo – Mexican Restaurant One of our favorites! The birria tacos were flavorful and tender. Steak was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Desserts were incredible—the chocolate cake and corn cake were so good that we returned every night just for dessert. The ambiance, like all the restaurants, was upscale and very pleasant. Servers overall were attentive and kind. And please—tip well. The staff works incredibly hard. 🏊♀️ Pools There are three large pool areas, clean and spacious. However: Pool chairs are hard to find. Even though the resort has a rule against reserving chairs, guests definitely still do, which makes it challenging to get a spot later in the morning. 🌴 Beach Loved the beach here! Clean, soft sand Long stretch of coastline Water was clear with minimal seaweed Palapas are free, but you must arrive early because they fill up fast I wish there was slightly better poolside/beachside drink and food service One of the best parts: the beach is steps away from the pool area, making it super convenient. Entertainment & Activities 🌟 Standout Staff: Sue Sue, who seems to be one of the activities directors, was one of the highlights of the trip. First saw her leading Zumba—her energy is infectious. Later saw her again at the Mayan show—she was excellent at gathering a crowd and getting people involved. She truly deserves a raise! 🎉 Nightly Themes & Kids Activities The resort hosts theme nights, which we loved. One night included a kids’ bubble party with bounce houses and face painting. The staff working this event (wish I remembered their names!) were wonderful as well. Overall, this was a relaxing stay and a great value for the price. Beautiful property Good food (except Capers) Stunning beach Friendly staff Great activities for kids and adults
