Miguel was the most fabulous host for our whole family at Spice. There’s a reason why it’s so difficult to get a tapenyaki reservation at this resort! Make it happen!!

We had a wonderful vacation at Dreams Jade over the Christmas holiday. The resort is very clean and well-maintained. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was extremely attentive and accommodating. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurants. We ate at Mercure (French), Cin Cin (Mediterranean), Capers (Italian) and Spice (Asian hibachi) and enjoyed them all. The buffet is above average for a buffet. LOTS of choices and variety, and all appeared to be very fresh each day. All the servers and other staff everywhere were very friendly and always happy to help with whatever we needed. We did get massages at the spa, which were excellent. Go early before the massage for the hydrotherapy (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi) and get extra pampered before your massage. We also did a couple excursions arranged by Luis at the Amstar desk in the lobby, who was very helpful. The catamaran snorkeling excursion was really nice - much nicer than snorkeling off a smaller boat where they cram you all onto the boat. We also did the cenotes (underground caves) excursion which was a little touristy but still a lot of fun. There were only two things that caused me to give 4 stars. (1) There are not nearly enough lounge chairs at the pool. I had to get up every morning by 6:45am (it's still dark!) to go down and put towels on 5 chairs for our family to have chairs by the pool for the day. But 7:00am, all pool chairs are taken (with towels), even though the pool doesn't even open until 8:00am. And make sure to take your pool towels up to your room each night for the next morning because sometimes they don't have clean towels at the towel station yet when you go down to reserve your chairs. And be careful because we did have a couple instances where other people "misunderstood" the policy and simply moved our towels off our chairs to claim them for themselves. It can get a little competitive. (2) The beach is not very good. We didn't have a lot of seaweed as others have mentioned at other resorts. But it's not the clear blue water in the photos. It's also kind of a steep beach, meaning the waves crash close to the beach and it's not easy for children to play in. (We didn't have small children but even our teenagers weren't interested in the beach.) This isn't the fault of Dreams Jade, just know that the beach isn't the draw of this resort. Overall, we really enjoyed the resort and we all agreed we'd go back again. We'd just have to draw straws each night to see who has to reserve pool chairs the following morning.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this resort a couple of weeks ago while attending friends’ vow renewal. Since it was her first time in this part of Mexico, we spent about half the week on excursions, but we still had plenty of time to enjoy the resort—and overall, we had a great experience. There were a few minor downsides, such as construction near one of the pool bathrooms and outside the lobby. That said, the work was completed by our final night, and we were able to enjoy the outdoor lobby bar before leaving. These were small inconveniences and didn’t take away much from our stay. What truly made the experience stand out was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. The pools were fun, and despite hearing that you need to reserve pool chairs very early, we had no issues finding spots—even late morning or afternoon—perhaps because we visited in early December. Breakfast and lunch were buffet-style and decent, though not exceptional. We often opted to take a short taxi ride into town for meals instead. Dinner, however, was very good. We enjoyed the Italian and Mexican restaurants, as well as the food served during our friends’ vow renewal events—all of which were excellent. We also treated ourselves to a relaxation massage, which was well worth it. It included access to the sauna, steam room, cold plunge, and jacuzzi, followed by an amazing 50-minute massage. My girlfriend even swears I fell asleep during it! I especially want to recognize one of the bellmen, Guillermo A. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly kind and attentive. He gave us a ride to our room (which was far from the lobby) in his golf cart, offered to take us back to the lobby bar after we freshened up so we could join friends, regularly greeted us around the resort, helped call taxis, and made checkout seamless by coordinating our luggage so we could continue enjoying the resort until it was time to head to the airport. While Guillermo truly stood out, the entire staff was fantastic and played a huge role in making our stay so enjoyable. Based on our expectations, this resort delivered a great experience, and we would gladly return.

We had dinner at the teppanyaki table at the Japanese restaurant in Dreams Jade Cancun, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Chef Luis was incredible, not only is he very talented, but he also put on an amazing show and kept everyone laughing the entire time. His energy, humor, and interaction with the guests made the night truly special. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented, but what really made the evening unforgettable was the entertainment and atmosphere Chef Luis created. It was fun, engaging, and great for both adults and kids. Highly recommend this experience if you’re staying at the resort, a big thank you to Chef Luis for such a memorable night! 🍣🔥✨
