Visited in November 2023 and couldn’t wait to return. We were a bit worried about October being rainy season but it was needless as the weather was perfect. Sunny and very warm with the occasional brief downpour. The sea was a perfect temperature and access and exit was much easier this time as the sea was calm. The beach was spotless and chairs set up clean and ready before breakfast. No getting up early and saving chairs game here, there are plenty to go around on the beach and at the 2 pools. The beach and pool service was brilliant. Michael has to take the prize for attention to guests but they all did a great job. You can walk both ways and get some exercise between cocktails and meals so calories don’t count. We enjoyed the Hobie Cats and spent many afternoons out in the bay looking for turtles in the clear blue waters. Shame the dive boat isn’t available anymore as now you have to get a taxi to pick up the Body Holiday one to dive or snorkel. Our room was beach front and kept spotless each day by housekeeping. I tried the pillow menu and loved the goose feather pillows. We liked the safe in the drawer and the table in the bathroom. The shower lacked pressure but was always hot and the hidden hanging thing was great to dry bathing suits overnight. The small balcony was a nice touch but really too small for sitting out on. The hotel and grounds are beautiful but it’s the staff that make this place special. They are all so kind polite and friendly, they are not working for tips like some all inclusive hotels they appear to enjoy their work and go all out to make sure you feel welcome. Please be generous when you leave and leave money in the box or add it to your bill so the staff can get a bonus to show your appreciation. The 3 meal spots are all amazing and the service is second to none. So much attention to service and presentation doesn’t going unnoticed. Thyme restaurant is like going to a fancy restaurant in a big city except the staff are more friendly. Malabar with the option to put your toes in the sand while you eat delicious food is a wonderful unique experience. Most of the meals on the Terrace are a la carte so really there is no all you can eat buffet experience which we appreciate. At least twice a week the amazing hard working staff carry table out onto the beach for the beach BBQ and eating under the stars. Just wonderful. Unfortunately I was recovering from a nasty virus so had no spare energy for the activities at this visit but they were amazing last year and I was delighted to meet the visiting yoga instructors. We didn’t get to the champagne lounge during our last visit but discovered it this time and it’s a not to miss attraction. Great piano playing and delicious champagne served beautifully chilled and each evenings feature is explained so it can be appreciated. Stolen time will remain our “we must go back to place” I hope. But unfortunately as many others who were there during “ the wedding week” if this trend continues we probably wont. There were a very few families with their teenage children there and this wasn’t a problem as they were quiet and well behaved. The large wedding party form the USA who stayed a week were not. They weren’t wild teenagers but 30+ year old professionals who should have known better but didn’t. They monopolize the pool, beach bar beach lazy river and restaurants. We tried to avoid them by going where they weren’t but we should have been forced to do this. Stolen Time is no longer a Couples resort which is perhaps a marketing decision so they can remain in business but this is not a resort designed for. Please listen to your many returning guests who have helped built your wonderful reputation.

I recently stayed at Stolen Time Rendezvous as a solo traveler, having previously visited The BodyHoliday, a sister resort. Since it was advertised as solo traveler-friendly, I expected a similar experience, but unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. From the start, my stay was uncomfortable and fell far short of expectations for a solo traveler. Key Concerns During My Stay: • Solo Traveler Experience: Despite the resort’s advertisement as solo-traveler-friendly, the environment feels overwhelmingly catered to couples. Other guests even commented that the resort seems suited more for couples, making it awkward to feel included. I even had both guests and staff question why I would come alone, which left me feeling out of place and unwelcome. • Room Issues: My garden-view room was on the ground floor by a busy path, so I had to keep my curtains closed, leaving the room without natural light. Additionally, my toilet blocked multiple times, and despite waiting over an hour for maintenance, no one came. I ended up resolving it myself, which was not what I expected at a high-end resort. • Vegetarian Options: As a vegetarian, I found the dining options limited, with minimal accommodation for dietary preferences. Given the resort’s inclusive positioning, this was disappointing. • Premium Alcohol Availability: Though premium alcohol is advertised across the resort, it was only available at the champagne bar. This restriction was not communicated beforehand and didn’t match the resort’s promises. • Sparse Nightly Entertainment: Evening activities were limited, and as a solo traveler, I found it difficult to connect with others in such a couples-focused environment. The lack of a lively, engaging atmosphere left me feeling isolated, especially in the evenings. • Mosquitoes: I was constantly bitten by mosquitoes both in my room and throughout the resort. This severely impacted my comfort, as no effective measures seemed to be in place. • Service Experience and Upgrades: As a returning guest to the resort group, I expected a warm welcome, but my inquiries about an upgrade were dismissed by the concierge manager in a rude and unhelpful manner. Meanwhile, other guests informed me they had received complimentary upgrades. This inconsistent treatment felt particularly disappointing, given my loyalty to the group. After voicing these concerns with the management in person, I followed up with an email requesting a reasonable resolution. The response was an offer to transfer to The BodyHoliday, but at an extremely high cost, which I didn’t feel was fair considering the disruptions. I replied to the email with further concerns but never received a response, which added to my frustration. I am yet to receive a response and I am extremely disappointed my email has been disregarded. I feel my concerns fell on deaf ears. The lady I spoke to in person didn’t seem overly concerned by the issues I raised. In fact she laughed at some of the concerns I raised. Midway through my stay, I decided to take a day pass to The BodyHoliday, which greatly improved my experience. Though it required additional transport costs, I felt far more at ease there. I only found out that this was an option after speaking with one of the bodyguards Nyal. He informed me that I could go to the body holiday on a day pass but would need to find my own way there. I’m thankful to Nyal for informing me. Management had failed to provide this as a resolution after I raised my concerns with them. In short, if you’re a solo traveler looking for a friendly, social atmosphere, I would not recommend Stolen Time Rendezvous. However, if peace and quiet are your main goals, it might be worth considering. For anyone seeking a mix of relaxation, social interaction, and vibrant activities, I’d suggest staying at The BodyHoliday instead. It’s a far better fit for solo traveler's, with much more engaging options and a welcoming environment.

This resort has the best staff in the Caribbean: very friendly and very efficient service. The food is also excellent. Lots of fun activities. However, since the change in policy from Couples only to Adult only (over 16 years old) the resort is attracting large groups. During our stay there was a large Wedding party, who were VERY noisy, drunk and rude. Sadly they ruined the atmosphere for everybody else.

We visited as a couple with 2 teenage boys staying in 2 suites. These were wonderful and very modern with great air con. Other reviews have mentioned the graveyard, mosquitoes, the nearby airport but these had no effect on our stay one little bit. This small luxury boutique hotel is about relaxation and being able to unwind. There is the beach, main pool, spa pool or the secret garden river to relax, they are all beautiful. If you want to keep busy there is the scuba and watersports plus lots of other activities through the day if you so wish. We went on the snorkel trip organised by the hotel and it was great, $75 each. The food here in all the restaurants is excellent. You could literally eat all day long. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are all great. We enjoyed the evening entertainment on offer and the staff really got involved too. All the staff here are a credit to the hotel, which i made sure i fed back on numerous occasions whilst there. They all take the time out to chat and make sure you are having a great holiday. Too many to mention but we loved Christy on the beach, Ronata at the bar, Seth and Sami in entertainment, the lady that does the eggs (sorry didnt get the name) and Jackie in the restaurant who is one of the kindest and genuine people you will ever meet, she is a diamond. Bodyholiday: Thanks to a previous recommendation on TA, we made sure we visited the sister hotel early in the trip, we enjoyed it so much we went back again! It was expensive in a taxi, $112 to take us 4. However, this place is stunning. This is more scenic, bigger and livelier hotel. Fantastic service of food and drink to your loungers. Plus it has the amazing Tao Asian restaurant which we booked prior to arrival. We found it had more of a vibe here where Stolentime was more total relaxation. We had a great time, the island is beautiful and the people wonderful.

Wedding parties….please don’t book here if your group will be loud, drunk and disrespectful of other guests. We were here for the week and there was a large wedding party who disrupted the ambience of the resort by moving together in large groups …very noisy …. The resort is very compact . Everything was close by. The grounds are well maintained and there are beautiful and unusual plants. Staff. The staff are the best I’ve ever encountered. When they greet you, they ask your name and remember it….amazing memories. Everyone is smiling and prepared to make your holiday special. At the beach we were offered water and drink service with regularity and one day skewers of fruit. We returned from lunch one day and the sand at the bottom if our chairs had been cleaned off. Room. We had an ocean front ground floor room just steps from the beach. Placed outside our beach door was a large container of water to clean the sand off our feet. The room was tastefully decorated with a huge king size bed and enormous pillows ….very comfortable…and bed was turned down each evening. Also fresh towels arrived in the evening if needed. Lots of hot water for showers. The fridge had 2 bottles of water…refilled daily. Really like the safe in a pullout drawer and open up like a box…much easier to use. My only complaint was that the room while set at 23 was much colder more like 18 or 19 degrees. We moved the temperature to 27 and it didn’t change. It was great for sleeping. Food and drinks. Breakfast was a buffet ….with something for everyone. My favourite restaurant was the Malabar. We had a late lunch here every day….all meals…excellent. Dinner here was my favourite.. it’s set on the beach with your feet in the sand. Wines when asked red or white….you then have a selection to choose from. Not your typical resort wines. We ate at the Thyme restaurant again both times great food and service…plus it was nice to have AC. Friday night was a beach barbecue…wonderful ribs. The champagne bar offers real French champagne…not resort sparkling wine. I liked not having to carry money for tipping. We put money in the office tipping box at the end of our vacation. This is shared among all the staff. We really enjoyed our week here. We didn’t partake in any of the activities of which there were many…something for everyone. We relaxed on the beach and swam in the ocean and pool and used the time to totally relax. We are looking forward to returning for another visit….hopefully no noisy wedding guests.
