What a fantastic resort. We visit all-inclusive resorts several times per year and this one tops them all. The views! The rooms! The service! The food. It’s all great. Special shout out to Alo who works the rooftop pool/bar. She is spectacular and so very friendly. Also shout out to Zelma who is a new concierge. She is so very friendly and was great to speak with!!

TLDR; PROS: Service (wow) Food (delicious. Like really delicious) Views (the best) Size (not too small, not too big, just right) Activities (fun, timely) Spa (beautiful, relaxing) CONS: Pools (There’s 4 small/medium pools on the property with the smallest most secluded one being the only heated pool. The temperature in the other 3 pools were a bit cold in morning and would have been nice if they all were heated.) SUMMARY: I dont often review places unless they are terribly bad or amazingly good. This trip falls into the latter… it was so good I was hesitant to write a review as I do not want the demand for this resort to skyrocket. Little background. My wife and I have been to several resorts in Mexico and caribbean (secrets akumal, atelier, hyatt ziva, etc) and this one is by far the best resort I have been to. From the stunning views, delicious food (and i mean delicious), and exceptional customer care, this resort had it all. For more details see below: Service: We were here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and every encounter we had with a staff member felt like we were royalty. Shout out to our Bartenders Miguel, Maria, Karen, and Edwin, to our sommelier Manuel, our tour guide, Rebecca, and our Butlers Angel and Edgar. Each one of our experiences with them were exceptional. I really cant say enough about them. Especially Maria who went out of her way to make my wife’s birthday extra special. Food: We had an assortment of food for breakfast lunch and dinner on out trip. Everyone must try the Creme Brulee Oatmeal. Oh my. I think that alone would bring us back here. The food is not typical all inclusive resort quality food. Before this trip, secrets akumal had the best food we had eaten at an all inclusive, but this resort blew it all out of the water. Exciting, interesting, and unique is how I would describe the food here. Below you will see my Grilled Octopus Taco for instance. But they also have traditional foods like burgers, pizza, tacos, etc. Anyone, I believe, could find something that they would devour at this resort. Views: The views at this resort do not disappoint. The pictures dont do it justice either. You have to go to experience the beauty of this place. So many different colors of blue and green with the cancun skyline in the distance. Size: The size of the resort was a plus for both my wife and I. This is our first “Boutique” resort. Getting from one place to another was the easiest we have had (although there are a few stairs to get to some restaurants) Activities: We did a cocktail class (we made mezcalitas and tequila sunrise), a morning bike tour(hour long with electric assist bikes), and a wine tasting(sampled 3 wines), however we heard great things about the sunset catamaran tour and the culinary experience that they have only on thursdays. Spa: Wife and I had a couples massage. I thought the spa was beautiful. Its a bit smaller and not as “wow” like some of the larger commercial all inclusive resorts, but still quite beautiful and relaxing. We both got the deep tissue massage and I gotta say deep may be an understatement. If you are teetering on deep or just a regular massage go with a regular massage. Pools: I tried really hard to find something wrong with this place and it was very difficult. Even with listing the pools as a con I can’t really complain. The main pool and rooftop pool were chilly. They have 4 pools on the resort and for some reason they made the smallest and most secluded one the heated pool. The “main” pool with the swim up bar and the rooftop pool are not heated. Which if you are going in the cooler months can pose a problem. It was high 70’s the whole time we were here and the pool was only cold for most of the mornings then warming up later when the sun had been out for a bit. That being said, it wasnt intolerable for me and just took a few minutes to get acclaimated. But something some people may want to know before booking this resort. Outside of the pool temperature I cant find anything wrong with this resort. My wife and I are ruined for future vacations elsewhere. We plan to come back here anytime we go to Mexico ourselves.

The words Luxury and relaxation sum it up. Breathtaking views, the most beautifully exquisite ocean water, excellent service from the moment we arrived at the marina to board the catamaran until the moment we departed, and so many special little touches. The butler service was an a new experience and added so much to our time at Impression. Edgar and Angel were both incredibly helpful and responsive. The property is stunning and I highly recommend a visit. We will be back!

Resort is beautiful! Omar and Mose are the best…..checked in with us daily and made sure we were well taken care of. We upgraded to an ocean view and it was well worth it. Ride over from Cancun on the catamaran was extremely easy and comfortable. Highly recommend renting a golf cart to cruise the island while there. And the gelato in the coffee shop was amazing.

This resort is amazing! I was here working but all of my guests had a phenomenal time. Service is impeccable, food is delicious and the a to city portions are plentiful. Grab a golf cart and explore the island, or spend the morning getting your Zen on with yoga, reiki, sound healing and more. More adventurous? Snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, bike tours will keep you moving. Ceviche, mixology, and chefs table lunch will keep your full of food and fun! Arts and crafts with traditional meanings will keep you grounded in the local culture. A few of our favorites (but by no means the only favorites) Antonio by the beach Johan the mixologist AB for the activities Yvonne, Alicia and so many more from the spa. Butlers, Angel and Edgar! From the business side - Rodrigo, Alejandra, Oliver. My best buddy - Kenneth!! Thank you for a marvelous trip
