Would we go back? Yes. That's always the important thing, right? We stayed on the Adults only side, with Enclave room. I feel the Enclave benefits are worth the extra cost. The service you get with Enclave is better than the service you get at the rest of the resort, and you will end up spending much of your time outside of Enclave. Pros: Food quality is good, especially for an all-inclusive whereby food can be average at best. Pools are very nice. Beach is just steps away, which is also a plus. Rooms are good, not outstanding, but good. Cons: Loud (i.e. Techno) music, especially at the pools. During day, we had to get to the beach to just get some peace and quiet. October is supposed to be rainy season, but that has now extended to November as well. Keep that in mind when planning.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff! A lot of options to eat from with good quality food. Spacious room and comfortable beds. The room was always stocked with water and other drinks but no snacks which I think in an all inclusive makes sense to have. The beach has a lot of chairs and the pools are amazing.

Our experience at Hilton La Romana Adult was significantly poorer than our experience 11 months ago. I want to note this was my husband and I's first vacation just the two of us. We have travelled with family and friends but never alone and we were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We had brought two other couples last year and all 6 of us were planning to come back again next year until our experience this year. 1. This year the food was horrible breakfast, lunch, dinner were inedible 90% of the time. I seriously lost 7 pounds on vacation. Only food we could tolerate was the hibachi. Last year everything I ate was good especially the enclave area for quick bites and yummy chocolates. No chocolates this year and food not as good at all. FYI sauteed vegetables that are with almost every meal are overly oiled and soggy. 2. The staff seems like they hate their job this year. I had hostesses roll their eyes seating us to spending money on a pier romantic dinner for our 25th anniversary who was confused with what menu we paid for and enclave employee telling us we were getting pier 1 when we did not. There were multiple times we needed staff assistance and had to wait until they were done with their personal conversations with other staff. Last year staff was always smiling and really went overboard to make experience extra special. A significant amount of employees do not speak English compared to last year. I do understand I am in their country so not so big a deal there. The overall work culture has changed and employees do not seem invested in their job. Kuddos to the young gentleman who cleaned and took care of chairs, umbrellas, towels and overall clean up at the enclave pool is a devoted hard worker. The two waitresses on the enclave beach area were also hard working. 3. I could not figure out housekeeping schedule and when we could go back to room. It was a different time everyday from 10:45 to 5:00p.m. We only had one day that had sun so we would want to go back to room often to nap or change out of wet clothes. We were Enclave like we were last year and did not have umbrella in room. We did request and got on last night we were there. 4. Enclave does not have free room service anymore, had it last year, there is a 10.00 US dollar service fee. 5. Humidor employee in shop in family side tried to overcharge for a lighter saying it was his only lighter on site and it cost 65.00 when my husband walked to other part of store and bought a lighter for under 5.00. We confronted him and he said he didn't know they sold lighters in other part of store he worked in. Also the employees that are trying to sell time shares came up and said they would give us 80.00 to use on stay where we had a voucher from check in that said 500.00. We did not listen to their speech. We just overall felt like people were trying to take us for idiots. My favorite thing about this resort is the beautiful landscaping, the mature palm trees, the white sand and the calm waters. It is just crazy that last year we had the BEST service and experience and this year was so much poorer in many areas.

OMMMGGGG HILTON LA ROMANA was fantastic it was like a movie look of you haven’t book your rooms/suites, or swim up Rooms ur fallin behind. From the staff service to the events nightly it was a movieeee I want to shout out Dauly for tellin us about the silent party. I can’t wait to go back to experience more fun times with the entire La Romana staff I love yall. Thank you for the great stay an experience.
