This is a very unique resort. After flying all day, its another75 minute drive from the airport. It is located on Marigot Bay where you will see some of the world's finest yachts. As a result, it's not on a beach. Your view is of the bay and the moored yachts and sailboats. The two pool areas are average by today's standards. They also sell "guest passes" to for people staying on the yachts. These were unwelcomed guests in my opinion that fill up the pool areas and take up the loungers. As Zoetry allows kids, be prepared for kids at the resort. As a result, we had to get up at 7am each morning to scope out a place at the pool. It's not the way to start out your morning. This is a rebranded resort that I would guess is 25 years old, and it shows. Hyatt should be embarrassed to call this a Zoetry, which is supposed to be their high-end brand. Thankfully, the staff at this resort went out of their way to provide the best service possible. Had it not been for their exceptional service, I would have rated it as a 3.5 instead of a 4. The food at the resort is only slightly above average, which is disappointing for a Zoetry. The Cove has excellent lasagna, but the other items we tried were just average. 14-61 was generally pretty good, and the Hurricane Hole was even better. But still, just a seven out of 10 overall food experience. It's a beautiful island and I'm glad I got to see it. But for the money you'll pay, it was not a very good value. It is not up to Zoetry standards either. We were told they are opening a Secrets within the next year that will be significantly better than this resort. Maybe wait until it opens? Special thanks to our favorite staff members; service rep Johan, bartenders Andre and Nicholas, servers Renata and Selma, and lastly our wonderful resort maid Barbara.

there is clearly poor leadership at resort because nearly all staff outside of checkin/checkout were not friendly, attentive, proactive, engaging, nor made any effort to give a top tier experience. Staffing levels during our stay must have been lower than normal because wait times were long at all meal locations, some experiences taking a couple hours to get food. Couple nights dinner were at 7:00pm or 7:30pm and we didn't get done until 9:40-10:00pm. I clocked turn times from sit down to meal experience completion and they average over 20min each. Drinks never proactively monitored nor was water. Nearly every day we asked for Diet Coke and Coke Zero (no sugar) be placed in our room fridge and it didn't happen until the final day of our trip. We travel internationally every year for nearly 20yrs and there is clearly extremely poor communication among staff and leadership. The property is in dire need of attention. pavers on walking paths all over the resort were trip hazards. The road in/out of resort and down to Hurricane Hole is in extremely poor condition.

Booked this trip to celebrate my birthday and had the best time ever. From my hospitable check in w/ Zoe, my attentive and super sweet housekeeper Rosemary, to Ella in concierge, the chefs at Hurricane Hole, bartenders and other staff like Keya, Hilda, Renata, Kevin, Nigel, Olivia, Mark, Malcolm, Lucious and John Baptiste…I really felt at home and well taken care of. I did a few excursions (kayak, sail boat and joys adventure), got a really nice evening massage, explored off the resort a bit, and bummed on the beach. I 100% felt safe as a woman traveling solo so no issues there. I actually cried checking out because I had such a good experience. The resort is beautiful, my jr suite was nice & clean, the food was delicious. This island is truly special, 10/10 I will be back! I know for sure I’m missing some staff names but thank you Zoetry Marigot Bay for such a great time!

I’m not sure where to start. Let’s start with the positives. Food great, liked the fact there is a coffee shop and restaurant down on the jetty which feels like a second resort and somewhere else to go. That’s the positives! Negatives. There is a serious issue with morale of the staff at this resort. There were a couple of lovely staff who I do feel sorry for. But on the whole the staff gave the feeling that you were a total inconvenience. You would wait 45 minutes for a glass of water, drink or coffee at meals and if you chased you were looked at like you were and absolute idiot. Often there were no towels available for hours around the resort so nothing to sit on around the pool. They even ran out of water one day, all day! I left my sunglasses at the breakfast table and went back ten minutes later and they were gone. Anything left anywhere disappeared. The wooden steps in places were rotten and make sure you choose your room carefully! Ours was a “Garden View” room but the view was the side of another apartment. In fact it also over looked the neighbours hot tub so felt sorry for them that if we were on our balcony we were 6 ft away from them in a hot tub. They were on their honeymoon! Awkward! We asked to move but not entertained. The staff answered the phone like robots. Wishing you a “happy holiday” but felt like they actually wanted you to die! The “beach” is terrible. Dirty, intimidating, poorly run. You have a private area but the whole time you are there people try to deceive you to accept drinks that you feel are from the hotel included, only for them to give you a bill. If you refuse to pay they get very aggressive and we even saw the police called to one hotel guest after they quite rightly refused to pay for a beer which they thought was served from a hotel member of staff. Why don’t the hotel warn you of this or manage this better! Terrible. Also food and drink on the beach is almost non existent. We were offered a slice of pizza to then be told the hotel sent 2 pizzas for the whole beach! We had to wait 45 minutes for boat back from the beach back to the hotel. We had to keep ringing a bell but the boat never came. Embarrassing. The biggest issue is the attitude of the majority of the staff. Rude, almost angry, god help you if you complain! You are looked at in an intimidating way. Never experienced service like it anywhere. One big thing is that the resort is a time share, managed by the hotel chain. People own these apartments and the hotel manage them. I think this is the main issue. The management company will cut corners to make a profit. We met owners while we were there and they were also very unhappy how the resort is currently managed. We needed up every day paying to go to other resorts which was very expensive. Would not visit again. This resort needs a big shake up. You should actually be ashamed.

The very best of experiences- welcoming hospitality- friendly and fun and exceptional and attentive service. The food was way better than we anticipated and had read about—especially the daily buffet at the pool-10+. For us it was all about the staff—very big shout outs to Hilda, Maggie, Jonathan, Clare, Allison, and Ella…you are wonderful and Amazing…thank you so much for making us feel like friends and family. The only issues we had was finding cash…no close ATM or bank and we often cleaned out the available supply the front desk had. Overall, this is a beautiful little resort with the nicest staff and we enjoyed our 2 weeks here immensely.
