Room: Ocean View w/ Butler Experience For my 30th birthday I had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. My partner and I booked the ocean view suite w/ a butler. I was blown away at the service received every second, every moment of the entire week long stay. When we arrived we were greeted by our two butlers, Ricardo and Nicholes. They were amazing, they made us feel safe, welcomed, and they took very great care of us. They orchestrated with my partner a birthday room set up and it was super cute! They had dinner reservations already set for us for every night, arranged drivers and pick ups for when we were ready for excursions or for exploring off of the resort. Overall they are anything and everything you can ask for in two amazing individuals. They know how to do their job. They were so respectful, always had a smile, and ensured our stay was perfect start to finish. The hospitality is beyond commendable. I hope they get the praise they deserve for their talent and service. Resort The resort is beautiful, I personally recommend the family side which is more of a fun vibe. There is always something to do on both sides and you are able to explore the resort and hang out on the adult side (Zilara) if you'd like! We preferred the family side after touring the (Zilara). All inclusive was a great experience! The food was great! You can eat and drink pretty much whenever, of course unless the establishments are closed. But, you'll never be without here! The Jerk Hut was fireeee! The drinks from all of the bars hit every time. The bartenders know how to create anything forreal! Shout out to Codjea! He made us some of the cutest drinks. His service was amazing at the Calypso bar! Entertainment is everywhere, you won't be bored! Everyone at this resort was respectable, welcoming, and helpful. I cannot express how much this birthday was made special. What a way to create a real luxury experience.

Great overall stay. Perfect private beach if you are there with family. Had an exceptional meal 3/5 nights. Grounds are beautiful, but part of the hotel is dated. Service at buffet is not great, but at their other restaurants, fantastic. 10 minutes from the airport.

Just completed a fantastic week at this resort. Upgraded to a swim out room on the adult-only ( Zilara side). This was worth the extra money and something that we used all week to relax and have some quiet away from the action of the resort. The fitness facilities and recreation team are amazing. Best gym and fitness classes that I have ever experienced in the islands, and I have seen many. I food options are multiple and our favourite was Fusion.. great Pad Thai, the Jerk Hut by the Ziva pool and beach and the made-to-order breakfast at Urban Heat on the Zilara side. Highly recommend the property !

Stayed in building 2 floor 5. Rooms were big, beautiful marble bathroom very comfortable beds and pillows. Room had a balcony with view of the ocean and pool. Building was close to beach, pool and many restaurants. Pool was nice and beach was small, but nice. Servers at beach and pool were very attentive. Food at restaurants were very good especially for an inclusive. Different bars had different drink menus that were fun. if I’m looking for ways to improve, I would say that the adult only side beach was rocky, and the large concrete pillars on the balcony railing blocked the view when seated. The exterior of the original Ritz Carlton buildings could use a paint job and some updating. Glad I chose to stay at the Ziva. Its pool was more spacious. The pool was less crowded and had a more relaxing vibe. Golfed three times twice at White witch and once had cinnamon Hill taxi to golf was less than 10 minutes. Courses were beautiful although the greens were both in bad shape, which was disappointing. I would still recommend it for the beautiful views and fun course layouts. Never felt unsafe and was very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful people of Jamaica

Late review … where do I start? We stayed here in ‘15 and ‘19. We used to love this resort and always compared it to other resorts. First two nights, our family of three no sleep because our neighbors were a feral family, screaming at all times of the night. Room changed to one with a broken toilet. Not sure what has happened but food and service used to be 5 stars, not the case now. Buffet used to be great, no more, Calypzo for lunch, not good, for dinner one night (only restaurant available), terrible. We ended up leaving halfway through dinner. They want you to pay $65 to get turkey on Thanksgiving … this was available at buffet years ago! Best dine in restaurant was the Italian, service was pretty good, waitress was great. Although a few days later my husband ordered a pizza to go and waited about an hour! We ate at the jerk shack every day, food was good. Service used to be exemplary here, no more. With the exception of a few employees (pool/restaurants), it’s like nobody cares. Yet they expect a tip, without earning it. Tips are not mandatory! They’re not even nice to our teens (at swim up bar) closer to the stairs to lobby … when you’re not looking. 😡 Years ago no reservations needed, now you have to get up early to make them and usually nothing availability at descent dinner times. Spent about $500 at spa during rain, masseuses were great but front desk attendant had a massive attitude. Not necessary, especially after spending that kind of money. The hotel is run down and needs rebuilding from ground up, there is a water problem, mildew smell throughout wet hallway carpets, fans blowing at all times and carpets that look like hell. We will not be coming back here!
