This was our third trip to Jamaica and was no where close to our past experiences. The pizza was undercooked, and my 5 year old ended up getting food poisoning with their pizza. He was absolutely miserable for majority of our trip. We went to their nurse and she had an open bottle of pepto bismol that she gave to my husband. Luckily I knew that adult pepto can be very dangerous to kids and found kids pepto by chance - otherwise I would have had to reschedule my flights. Their resort was not stocked up with essentials. We requested a children's tylenol and were told that it would cost us $50 to have it shipped to the resort. I have been twice to Ocho Rios, and even those resorts are better stocked. Even without the food poisoning, I was not a fan of the resort. The rooms were dated and did not feel luxury. It is not very weather friendly for days with bad weather. We ended up getting soaked on multiple occasions because even going to their buffet requires you to go out of the building. There is no restaurant that you can get to without walking outside - this makes bad weather days not fun. My kids got soaked and were miserable and cranky during meals because of this. Kids club was very basic and unlike our past trips to Jamaica, the kids did not want to go there. I did like the pool and the bar. Plenty of space to sit and the whirlpools were fun. But thats about it. I would not recommend this to anyone especially if you have kids. For reference - we have stayed at Riu Ocho Rios and Moon Palace Ocho Rios in the past.

Hyatt carries through with branding - have been to Cancun and Cap Cana and this resort shows up well in the sense that it's more laid back, but equally servicing. Friendly staff and eager to please. Have much respect for the people of Jamaica, and most certainly Montego Bay.

My partner proposed to me and celebrated my birthday at this resort this month (Feb). It was nothing short of amazing. It was a candle lit dinner by the beach orchestrated by Desmond, Troy, chef sugar (Shanae) and our beautiful waitress Navisha. I hope this message reaches them because they really should know how amazing they are. World class service. Accommodating. Sincere. I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped foot inside the lobby. I genuinely felt like I stepped into a new reality where I was the most important person in the space. That’s how amazing the service was by every staff I encountered. If you’re thinking of booking a stay for a special occasion, let this review be the sign you’re looking for. Oh and how can I forget, THE FOOOODDDDDDD was sooooooo GOOOOD. I had a good steak for the first time in my life. Let me just leave that right there. Hopefully I can get married at this resort too. It would be perfect. Hyatt is by far the best hotel in St. James, book the stay. I promise, you won’t regret it.

Just returned from a 5-night stay at Ziva Rose Hall. As always, our time at the resort was perfect. The gardens are spectacular, as are the views. Our meals at Jamaican Rootz, Urban Heatz, Calypzo, and Fuzion were incredible. In addition, the resort created an amazing outdoor party atmosphere for "the big football game". The staff are very friendly and accommodating. A special thank you to the following employees for going above and beyond and making our time there special: Calypzo bartenders Codjea and Kenroy; Fuzion wok chef Davaia; Urban Heatz server Richard and his manager; Petite Pariz server Ricardo and manager Saskia; Shakers bartender Javain.

A fantastic all-inclusive resort - the rooms and areas can feel a bit dated but overall a great place to spend a week with beautiful grounds, pools and a private beach. The staff in particular are fantastic, very friendly and eager to help. The restaurants also shined and make for a brilliant dining experience wherever you go. I have to also mention the gym is probably one of the best I've seen at any hotel or resort so if you're into fitness, you'll be thankful it's there.
