Love this pace.
The Grand Velas is our favorite place to vacation. We have been there 6 times now, and we will be going back. It starts as soon as one arrives with a favorite of a a neck massage from Leticia. My wife loves it. The rooms are nice and clean and with a great view of the ocean. The place is a 20 minute ride from the airport which is ideal. As we take mostly relaxation holidays, this place is nice and quiet. The pool concierges, Gustave and Edwardo are very friendly and welcoming and took the time to know us. The pool side service is exceptional. Francisco and Nino took care of us and it was most appreciated, even when Nino starts telling jokes. We always had a pre-dinner drink at the Koi bar and the staff were very accomidating. Breakfasts at Azul was a great start to the day. Special thanks to Fidel and the gang in there. The restaurnts were top notch. Hard to pick a favorite. Thanks to Alain in Piaf for remembering us from our previous trip. All in all this place is a grat place to spend a vaction.

Over the top luxurious
I cannot say enough about how amazing this resort is - beautiful and luxurious and beach front. The entire team at the Gran Velas go above and beyond every year that we visit. Highly recommend the spa treatment with the water ceremony, you will not be disappointed. Also want to give some love to my concierge Mario and my beach buddies Xenon and Julien for taking exceptionally good care of me during my stay. See you next year :)

Amazing family vacation
First time to this amazing resort! We will definitely be back! The food was amazing - the service second to none - beautiful pools- gorgeous rooms - such a wonderful week!

The best time playing volleyball!!
Carlos was the absolute best and all the employees in charge of the outdoor activities! We loved playing volleyball everyday with Carlos at 11 and 4! My daughter and I had so much fun playing beach volleyball and wish we could do it every day!

Fabulous time at Grand Velas Rivera Nayarit!
We just returned from a fantastic trip at Grand Velas with our family! It was our first time at this resort but it will not be our last! From check in to check out and every thing in between the staff did not miss a beat! The service, restaurants, pools, kids club and rooms were all wonderful! Thank you for allowing us to make wonderful memories and we look forward to a return visit!!

I stayed at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit for two nights and only have wonderful things to say about the property. The staff is absolutely fantastic -- always friendly, well-trained, quick, and ready to help with anything. Everyone gets a "personal concierge" who was a real time-saver for dinner reservations, spa appointments, and general questions. The spa is clean and the treatments I had (massage, facial, and hydrotherapy circuit) were wonderful, but the hydrotherapy pool area is showing its age just a bit. Because this is the oldest Grand Velas property, I was expecting it to feel a bit run down, but it did not show its age at all. The gym is especially modern.
My suite was "resort view" but I could clearly see the ocean beyond the pool without having to crane my neck or unpack the binoculars. It is most definitely a family-friendly resort, but the adults-only areas are separate and quite relaxing. Pool and beach service are top-notch. Food quality was very good, especially the Mexican restaurant and pool/beach options. The breakfast buffet could be a bit more exciting, but I'm not a fan of buffets... if you just want an omelet, opt for room service, which is lovely. I highly recommend this resort, especially for families, but couples and singles will also love it. It's worth the price and it is a real 5-star luxury property.

Just wanted to let your staff know that after 6 nights at the Grand Velas we didn't want to leave. The staff was very attentive and the food in all three restaurants was delicious. Our room was very contemporary with a Mexican feel. We were able to lie in bed and see the ocean. I would highly recommend it and have already.
