Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

We recently stayed at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit for 5 days in January 2026. The property is located right on a beautiful stretch of beach. The beach is very accessible, and the hotel provides chaises and cabanas if you choose a beach day over a pool day. We had a lovely ocean view room on a high floor that was spacious, well-appointed, quiet, and in excellent condition (I understand there was a recent refresh). But the key point of this review is that the service is nothing short of exceptional. I’ve never experienced such service. Each interaction with the staff felt personal, warm, and genuine. Edna helped to make private airport transfer arrangements that, while not inexpensive, were valuable for peace of mind AND conveniently added to the bill at the end. Extra special shout-outs are absolutely deserved for those who made our stay truly memorable: Gustavo Nieves, the pool concierge, who checked in on us repeatedly to make sure we had everything we needed – his level of attention was just right; Maria Torres, our concierge, who worked her magic to snag us dinner reservations at each of the four restaurants (more on those later); Eduardo, another wonderful pool concierge, always ready with a smile and happy to move our pool umbrella anytime needed; Ricardo and Julio, who took care of us at breakfast, always remembering our beverage orders; Celeso and Marvin at Lucca, whose delightful service and attention created a memorable final dinner on our last night. I wish I had known this before going: be sure to try ALL the restaurants! Each is so different from the other, but they are all incredibly delicious, offering unique menus and a true fine-dining experience. Again, as with every other aspect of this hotel, the service was divine and a true complement to our outstanding meals. Our concierge had to scramble to get reservations that we failed to make in advance, but she always managed. The pool is beautiful and serene. There is an adult section and the jacuzzi is also adult-only. And while there were a number of families with small children, they didn't overwhelm the pool experience. Nothing was crowded - there was no competition for pool chaises and plenty of umbrellas. Pool service was frequent and friendly, and the food and drink offerings were great. I'm already planning my next visit. I'm now ruined for other hotels because they will struggle to complete with our experience at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. Thank you!

The resort is amazing! The staff is absolutely worth the visit. There wasn't one thing to complain about during our stay. Jose Cantinero at the Pool Bar was the best part of the experience. He is super friendly and made our stay so much better. He was the most memorable employee on the visit. Thank you Jose. We enjoyed visiting with you daily.

I really do not have the words to share how AMAZING our stay was. It may be my favorite vacation ever. Everything about our experience was epic. The staff, the room, the property, the pools, the beach, THE FOOD! Everything was 5 star. We were usually able to find great seats at the pool or on the beach. The one time we were struggling, the amazing Gustavo saw us looking and swooped in to find us something. Within minutes he had seats for us and a waiter for drinks was seconds behind. This is truly a no stress experience. You can eat at the pool, at the restaurants or in your room. That room Service is included is unbelievable. That room service is so delicious just made it even more so! Our concierge Luis was also incredible. We had a Daily list of available activities in our texts every morning. Our daughter’s phone wasn’t charging and he offered to stop at Walmart for a solution. We came with teenagers so we wanted them to check out the teen lounge- it is incredible! Brand new, very beautifully designed. I would have loved to hang out there! There is a light up dance floor, cubbies with TVs to play video games (my kids played Fortnite with their friends for. But), pool, air hockey, ping pong, board games! So much to do! We didn’t utilize the kids club but they had a show every day on the lawn and I loved hearing the music and seeing the actors who Portrayed Disney characters or sonic the hedgehog. I was fortunate enough to get to utilize the spa. I had a massage and loved the “water ritual” So much I brought my daughter back to experience it. Mariana was very kind! Most relaxing, peaceful, comforting experience ever. This is a truly special place. I am already plotting my return. It cannot be soon enough!!!!!

This is the best all-inclusive experience our family has had. The food and drinks were great and the service was incredible. The staff go out of their way to make sure that the experience is amazing and tend to any want or need. This will be our family's all-inclusive choice from now on!

10/10!! Service was amazing and the food was over the top good. Like OVER THE TOP. First time at the Grand Velas and it blew us away. We travel a lot and are fortunate enough stay at great resorts. Grand Velas definitely fits that bill! *Special mention of the care and attentiveness that the staff took with my daughter who has Celiac (gluten allergy)... it's always a point of stress when we travel, worrying about the food she'll be able to eat. They went above and beyond to ensure her food safety and create dishes for her that she would love! We'll be back soon! Thank you to everyone at the resort who made our stay amazing!
