This is the second time we've traveled to this resort. We've had an amazing experience both times. The staff is amazing, friendly, and accommodating in every way. The food and drink is top shelf for an all-inclusive. This resort goes the extra mile. KC

My anticipation as I reach the entrance to the Spa is almost uncontrollable. I open the door and enter a surreal, relaxing World far from where I was a moment ago. Soothing music, cascading water, exotic scents and a friendly, professional staff greeting me. I was greeted by name this day by Beatriz Ramirez, one of my favorites here. The Spa is exceptional with lockers of teak, and a shower set to music, with lights and different flows and temperatures covering the four seasons. A sauna, steam room, hot and cold pools, and Jacuzzis complete the experience. Drinks, healthy snacks, the Spa has it all! Incredible massage options are available. My favorite was with Shanti. The Gym is very well equipped and expertly maintained with music, a TV, and a manager. I am there three times a week. Overseeing the Spa, Gym and Massage is Silvia Velasco. She keeps it all running so smoothly. She has such well trained and just plain pleasant personnel. Maximum kudos to Silvia. Muchas Gracias. Guy.

My husband and I have vacationed at a number of all inclusive resorts in Jamaica, Bahamas, and Mexico. Without a doubt, Grand Velas is the very best! We’ve stayed at the GV in Riviera Maya and just finished 6 days at the GV in Riviera Nayarit. The food quality, the service, the suites…all the very best. Our concierge Luis was simply the best - always looking out for us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Pool concierge Eduardo and adult pool server Gustov were also fabulous. A fantastic vacation that my sister and her husband have already booked based on my recommendation.

We just stayed at grand velas and it was an amazing 3 nights- service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We loved how we could spend time at the pool and then steps away was the beach if our daughter wanted to play in the sand! Both my husband and I felt so relaxed for the first time since becoming parents ( so for 4 years!) and we hope to return soon! Dulce, our personal concierge, was particularly amazing and we will definitely be asking to work with her again when we come next time!

We recently stayed at Grand Velas, a resort often billed as one of the top high-end all-inclusives. While the overall experience was pleasant, it didn’t quite live up to the hype—especially considering the premium price point. The property is beautiful and well-kept, and the rooms were spacious and appeared recently renovated. The restaurants served good food, though nothing particularly memorable. The buffet was underwhelming, but to be fair, most buffets are. We were initially concerned about the advertised restaurant dress code, but there was no enforcement during our stay, so it’s not something to worry about. The pool area was nice, but like many resorts, finding a chair required being up very early. By 7:30 a.m., most loungers were already claimed. Staff occasionally walked through, but there was no real enforcement of the posted rules, which was frustrating. It’s surprising more resorts haven’t implemented a booking system to manage this. The staff was friendly and hardworking, as is typical of most quality resorts. Overall, it was a good stay—but given the high cost, Grand Velas feels more on par with other five-star resorts rather than standing out from the crowd.

I stayed at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit for two nights and only have wonderful things to say about the property. The staff is absolutely fantastic -- always friendly, well-trained, quick, and ready to help with anything. Everyone gets a "personal concierge" who was a real time-saver for dinner reservations, spa appointments, and general questions. The spa is clean and the treatments I had (massage, facial, and hydrotherapy circuit) were wonderful, but the hydrotherapy pool area is showing its age just a bit. Because this is the oldest Grand Velas property, I was expecting it to feel a bit run down, but it did not show its age at all. The gym is especially modern.
My suite was "resort view" but I could clearly see the ocean beyond the pool without having to crane my neck or unpack the binoculars. It is most definitely a family-friendly resort, but the adults-only areas are separate and quite relaxing. Pool and beach service are top-notch. Food quality was very good, especially the Mexican restaurant and pool/beach options. The breakfast buffet could be a bit more exciting, but I'm not a fan of buffets... if you just want an omelet, opt for room service, which is lovely. I highly recommend this resort, especially for families, but couples and singles will also love it. It's worth the price and it is a real 5-star luxury property.

Just wanted to let your staff know that after 6 nights at the Grand Velas we didn't want to leave. The staff was very attentive and the food in all three restaurants was delicious. Our room was very contemporary with a Mexican feel. We were able to lie in bed and see the ocean. I would highly recommend it and have already.
