We stayed in a VIP (7th floor) room. Beautiful room with views of the 3 pools and ocean I suggest booking these rooms, included private bar, small buffet that is open from 7am to 7pm. This floor also has private check in/out and you can book your dinner reservations. Caeser the bartender looked after us everyday, making sure we had nice cold beer (thank you). All staff made us feel very welcome, everyone smiling. The hotel itself has been mainly renovated, I believe they are still working on improvements. The pools are absolutely stunning and we could always find a seat (even going down at 11am) Shout out to Jorge and Gerardo at the pool area. They did an exceptional job of looking after us. Buffet was very nice, different theme everynight so you did not tire of eating there. Italian restaurant, best Pizza and Lasagna Bolognese on the planet. Housekeeping was there 2 times a day and then did turn down of the bed everynight. Minibar was kept well stocked everday. Overall we had a great time. At this time the only negative was the shortness of towels in the room. The beach area outside the hotel is awesome, although I would suggest perhaps a few more chairs in that area. Sunsets were stunning. Beach Bar was cool with the swings. Awesome place to hang out and get pampered. Again, can't thank Caesar/Gorge/Gerardo enough for making this special. Already booking for next year. As they say in Mexico "no bad days"

I just came back from this hotel and found that it met my expectations. The thing that impressed me most were the friendly staff. They enjoy their jobs and it shows. Francisco is an awesome concierge! Has been with the hotel over 14 years. Also Esmeralda was very efficient and most pleasant in restaurant reservations. Sandra the guest services manager was very congenial as well. I could see that the management team were making maintenance improvements in the common areas. It is a dated hotel but it seems that the new ownership since Dreams are making efforts. I found the food and service to be good in general. El Dente was my favourite. There was a nice blend of Canadian and Mexican guests. I would definitely return to this resort if the prices meet my budget. As a solo there wasn’t a big difference in price from double. 👍

Hotel is nice. Lots of pool room, and lots of beach view rooms with hot tubs on them. Sucks that they don't actually follow through with the saving chairs for more then an hour rule because all of the chairs on the sunny side of the pool were always taken by towels. Food was decent. Could be more selection and deffinatly more kids food. We did have a problem with the tub where the drain leaked all over the floor, we called for someone to mop it up and it never came. Also the water went out for 5+ hours but that was a water main break out of their controll. Over all the staff were great, friendly and proficient in English. Though some of them were talking bad about guests in Spanish not knowing my wife speaks it too. She burst out laughing at what he said and he knew he was caught. Bbq and meditrainan restaurants were amazing! Italian was good too.

Our stay at the Wyndham Alltra Vallarta was great. The room was comfortable, clean, great bed, hot water. Food was great. Pools were great. The far (beach side) pool was too cold to swim in. The pool was vacant every day, such a waste as it is the largest of all the pools. The shows were always great. Quiet resort overall, but everyone was having a great time. Bar lobby was amazing. Service was always wonderful. The buffet breakfast servers were always extremely friendly and nice. Great service, great staff and great hotel. Not a 5 star but very much a 4 star. Room towels are available, but yes you may need to ask for them as one per room seems the norm. haha Had an excellent 8 days at Wyndham!
