Overall we had an exceptional time at Dreams Adventuras. My girls are 20 and they loved the salt water pool and looking for coral on the beach. The town is a few minutes walk away. The beach is hard packed and the inlet is shallow with some rocks and seaweed about 30 feet out. It's great for kids, beginning snorklers, kayakers and paddleboarders. I love a bit of surf and soft sand so I think we will try a different Dreams next time. The food is okay and consistently better than other resorts we've been to. We like Portifino and seaside grill for dinner. Our shower floor was uneven so it was like showering in the lake. The staff was truly outstanding and the service was amazing. I'm terrible at names so I wish I remembered everyones' names. I had a hankering for mint tea and the ladies at the Coco Cafe ran and got fresh mint and mixed it with hot water for me which is so kind. Everyone greets you and treats you like a VIP. Antonio at the front desk was very helpful and we enjoyed the classes from the entertainment team run by Itzayana, Rico, and Sebastian. Bell service was top notch and hosts and waiters/waitresses at the restraunts were very good.

If you are reading this review you are trying to determine if this resort is for you and or your family and friends. The reviews are all over the place for this resort and I was panicked the night before we left for our trip wondering if we made a mistake. We travel quite a bit and I often research a place to death before we go. First of all, everyone is so friendly. From Javier the incredibly sweet bell hop to the front desk, spa, bartenders, and housekeeping. We did not meet an unfriendly employee. Our rooms were very nice. We had a standard king room with a pull out couch for our 11 year old. We upgraded to preferred access at a discounted price so we could have the additional perks. This decision was a great one! Would we have had a good time without it? Sure! You can take it or leave it. Food. Some was awesome and some was just "good". It was a mix review each meal at each location. We NEVER had bad food. Everything at a minimum was good. Oceana lunch... fantastic. Gohan dinner... Great. Buffet... good. But nothing was ever bad. Even our picky 11 year old found something he liked at every spot. Everything was VERY clean. Room service did a great job. Do parts of the hotel have a mildew type smell? Yes. That is to be expected in open air humid settings. It isn't from lack of cleaning. What about drinks? Drinks were hit or miss depending on the bartender. Emmanuel (floated around), Sunny (aka Carina) at the swing bar, and Armado in the preferred lounge were hands down the best. The shows were entertaining! We had a good time at all the ones we attended. Pools, hot tubs, chairs... everything was very very clean. We liked the closed off beach area to snorkel, paddle board, and kayak. Also, Cristile gave me the best massage I have ever had. The walk into town was very worth it! The shops and the dolphin area were clean as well. We ate at the Texas Restaurant on the strand and had the best Mocha Heta (sp?) aka lava bowl. Excursions through Amstar: be prepared to be expected tip at anything Amstar is part of. I don't say that as a bad thing either. If you are wondering where to tip, Amstar is not included in your inclusive stay. The excursion we chose was the zip line, atv, and cenotes. It was very fun with a lot of activities in a half day. Lunch included, and it was very good. Moni was our guide and she was incredible. Were there any downsides? Of course. Did they affect our stay? Not at all. The "upsale" was the only thing that got on my nerves. This took place on our excursions and trying to get our $200 credit coupons through VIP services. The beach is man made and that was hit or miss with our group. Once again though, very clean. The spa. Best massage I have ever had HOWEVER, the hydro therapy was a little intense. At the end it did feel great. Just intense. Could the hotel use some upgrades in some areas? Sure. Did it change our stay that minor things were outdated? Not at all. Overall a memorable and incredible week. Would we go back? Absolutely. Very family friendly with several activities and amenities.

Their customer service was amazing! My son lost his favorite toy and didn’t realize until bed time, they mobilized all staff to help us look for the lost toy! Above and beyond!!! Best service ever!!! I also really appreciated the 24hr room service it made for a relaxing stay and my picky eater food available for when he decided he was hungry 😂 Thanks again to Antonio and the whole crew for all the help!!

Antonio at the front desk and javi the bellhop are amazing!!! Emmanuel is the best bartender! Very clean place, fun, and everyone is super helpful. I thought the food was pretty good! Room service great! ALOT of stuff included that most resorts don’t offer or charge extra for.

The resort was appropriate for families with children under six. The food was excellent. Our only disappointment was with the vacation club representatives in the lobby. We were misled and wasted four hours at the dreams to loom in order to get passes for the ruins. We were told we were going to go view another recently purchased Hyatt property and then we would go to Tulum and only have to pay the state tax of $52 pesos. We had to pay the whole park fee, which was in excessive 300 pesos. Felt like we were being held hostage at dreams Tulum, as we told him we were not interested in becoming members.
