We love this resort. The nature park on property adds a cool opportunity to kayak and snorkel through a river leading out to the ocean, or take a bike tour through the park. We loved the segue tour we took the last time we were there in 2021, but that wasn't an option this time. I love that they grow their produce on site that they serve in their restaurants. The food is great for the most part. Loved the pizzas at Il Forno. The quality of alcohol was excellent for an all-inclusive. The pool areas are great. The beach is pretty, although the water in that area of the coast isn't the beautiful vibrant blue that you see in Cancun or to the south in Playa del Carmen. It's a darker color. Our room (a 1-bdrm suit) was beautiful, with a very large master bath and bedroom, a nice sized living/dining room where our kids stayed on a pullout bed, and a great balcony looking at the mangroves. The view from most of the units in the main building, I believe, is of the mangroves/river/pools as the ocean is far from the rooms and there are a lot of trees on property so it's not maybe a typical Mexican ocean front resort in that regard, but we really enjoyed sitting out on our balcony and listening to the running water and looking at the river. The bartenders in the Lobby Bar and Sports Bar were awesome.

We have been Sunset World members for 10 years. Our visit this month was our first time back in 4 years. The updates to the rooms, lobby, and restaurants are very nice. There is still work to be completed since there is not any art on any of the walls, still the furnishings and style design were very nice. As always the staff is top notch! Our butlers Daniel, Alma and Ruth were fabulous, helpful and attentive. The pool server Jose was friendly and always available to assist. The new sommelier Diego was knowledgeable. Hector and Rosa were great servers at the buffet and the servers in the Mexican restaurant were the best. All of the menus and food selection were updated and very tasty. There was also a well planned and executed members only wine pairing dinner and martini night with live entertainment. The spa is probably the most impressive. There is no comparison to the old space. Not only was the experience and staff, especially Marbella, lovely, the physical space is gorgeous and very luxurious To our advantage there was not any construction going on the week we traveled. The two new buildings are on opposite sides of the property and should be nice when completed. Over all the vacation was very pleasant. We hope the new management will continue to add value to Tres Rios.

The place is huge and the views of the jungle and beach are nice. Large pool areas and various resturants to choose from. The staff is what makes this place shine. The place is undergowing some renovations so some areas look nicer than others. The food is hit or miss depending on where you eat. The japanese hibachi at Kioto is the best. No need to fight over seats, towels, or beds by the beach. There are plenty to go around. Rooms need some updating. Nightly entertainment is also pretty much limited to one spot in the entire hotel (the sports bar). Drinks were mostly good. No issues with the bed. Bathroom amenities could have been better quality. Overall its not a bad resort, but I would wait until renovations are done and the place is completely updated before going to visit.

This was a great experience. I don't cycle at all (don't ride a bicycle), but this Kart was fun and easy to pedal with just the right number of stops. The scenery was wonderful. Tour Guide Alexis was great. 15 out of 10. Highly recommended for family.

My wife and I took the four-night package in August and really got our money's worth! The service from the entire staff was phenomenal. The nature activities, including biking and kayaking through the terrain and rivers, are not to be missed. The beach was beautiful. The complimentary wind surfing boat ride was very special. The quality and quantity of food available was amazing and I am a NYC food snob! And the top shelf liquor was always available! I could go on... Visit this property!!
