Second time to Beloved and it did not disappoint. We stayed (again) in a swim out suite in the 300 building. We particularly like the room we’ve had both times: 304 Besides the beach, pool scene, well kept property and the exceptional service, a few favorites from this trip: Flauta, Burger and steaks from Lupita Enchilada Suizas from El Mar (breakfast menu) Grilled tuna from El Mar (lunch menu) Grouper sashimi and sushi at Lupita Lounge Tacos at the taco truck Massage and facial at the spa We received a night pass and visited the Excellence resort for dinner and a show. We are ate at Agave, where I had perfectly cooked salmon. Sign up for the night pass at beloved front desk. There appear to be limited spots per evening, so reserve early. We were curious about the difference between Beloved and Excellence. Beloved is much smaller and quieter by design. There is always evening entertainment, usually musicians or dancers, but it has a relaxed feel. From our evening at Excellence, it appeared higher energy with several large groups vacationing together, louder volumes entertainments, and if this means anything - lots of rounds of shots ordered at the bars. Excellence is a wonderfully kept resort and no doubt food and service is just as exceptional. Just different vibes. If you are considering either resort, just book it!!!

We stayed at Beloved Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon at the end of December 2024 into early January 2025 and had a wonderful experience! For context I have never done an all inclusive in Mexico but have stayed at a few resorts and specialty hotels in other countries. The staff of Beloved made our trip so relaxing with their kindness and attentiveness. Everyone we encountered was intuitive to our needs without hovering. A special shoutout to Benito, our swim-up room waiter, who was always there to help with anything we needed and was such a pleasure to chat with. The beach staff—Denise, Claudia, Sebastian, Elvis, and Fernando—were equally amazing, ensuring we had everything we needed and were fun to have conversations with. One of our beach days, Marisol came by and made a bracelet with us and she was a ray of sunshine! Christina at the coffee and ice cream shop was a delight, as were Mishell and Betel! We stayed in a swim-up room, and I highly recommend it! It guaranteed a convenient and relaxing poolside spot at all times without any "chair game" drama. The room itself was spacious and always cleaned well, with refreshments restocked daily. While the decor is a bit outdated compared to the rest of the beautiful resort, it didn’t detract from our experience. The food overall was quite good—better than most resorts I’ve been to. While nothing was particularly mind-blowing, the taco truck, seafood at El Mar, and ice cream shop were standout highlights. Since we stayed a full week, we also got to dine at Excellence next door for one night. We chose Spice, and it was the best meal of the trip. However, exploring Excellence made us even happier with our choice of staying at Beloved. Excellence is much larger, busier, and felt a bit gimmicky. Beloved’s intimate, peaceful vibe was perfect for us. The spa was another highlight of our trip. We did the complimentary hydrotherapy and added on a scrub, mud mask, and massage. Gustavo guided us through the experience and was so sweet and friendly! If you’re looking for a chill and relaxing vacation full of rest and lounging, Beloved is the perfect choice. Overall, our stay at Beloved Playa Mujeres was a dream, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to friends and family. Thank you to all the incredible staff who made our honeymoon so special!

Beloved made my honeymoon trip worth getting married lol. From the drinks to the customer service to the food to the taco truck, everything was breathtakingly beautiful and fun. A few honorable shout-outs I have are Cristina Norberto, brain Lorenzo, and Jafet. Thank you for making our stay even better.

We just finished our wonderful second stay at Beloved, and this is our second review - our last visit was in March of 2023. This time my husband and I stayed for 10 days over Christmas, and were spoiled by the top notch service and all the amazing staff who work here. We are pretty well- travelled, and this is the first time we have returned to the same place; after a challenging and stressful 2024, we decided that spending Christmas at Beloved was exactly what we needed to rest and rejuvenate. Beloved caters to a niche clientele, who are looking for a small (109 rooms), quiet, intimate resort where peace, rest and relaxation are the theme. There are so many things we love about Beloved, here are a few of the highlights: - Friendly, welcoming, wonderful staff who work incredibly hard to ensure your stay is special !!! - The property is gorgeous, and arranged to ensure peace and tranquility - Couples ONLY! Please do not try to book your large group here, there are many, many other amazing resorts that welcome large groups. The couples only atmosphere ensures a lovely, quiet vibe - And I know I am repeating myself but I can’t emphasize this enough because we LOVE this aspect of Beloved - It is QUIET. The main pool with the swim up bar is a bit more lively, and there are 2 other quiet pools that are exactly that - QUIET. The quiet pools either have no music, just the calming sound of the pool foundations splashing, or in the afternoons they play spa-like music. We love the rule at Beloved that guests cannot play their own music out loud (one can of course use earphones) as this ensures the calm tranquility of the atmosphere - You can sleep in and still easily get a place on the beach or by the pool. No getting up at 6am to throw your towel on a chair. - No restaurant reservations required - we don’t like to be on a schedule and prefer to show up when and where we want. Granted, there were a few times we had to wait a bit for a table at our chosen restaurant, but we waited happily with a drink in hand and enjoyed each others company - The food and drinks are good to great, the sushi in particular is a lovely, delicious treat. All the restaurants are great, but our favourite is Lupita Steakhouse - great meat options for carnivores - The baked goods at the coffee shop and elsewhere is amazing!! - Very comfortable bed and great blackout curtains - Did I mention all the warm and friendly staff! Special shouts outs go to: First and foremost, Christian Sosme (Guest Services Manager) went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay, he checked in with us daily and helped us in numerous ways. Thank you Christian, you are a ROCK STAR! Mex was so welcoming when we arrived, taking our luggage to our room, showing us around and offered up extra towels and hangers which we greatly appreciated! Amazing Oscar worked tirelessly to ensure we always had a drink in hand at the pool, kindly helped me with my terrible Spanish and made us some special drinks off-menu which we nicknamed “The Special Oscar” and “Oscar’s Grinch” (yes, the second one was green. Fernando was awesome in ensuring our beach service was top-notch! We had such fun chatting and laughing with him. Alex at the Sushi Bar was so friendly, helpful, and brought us fantastic sushi Cristina at the coffee shop always greeted us with a smile and delicious coffee and pastries So friendly and always smiling Sebastian and Denisse made sure we had our beach cabana all set up, and thougtfully brought us a beautiful sand-art on our last day Karla and Manual introduced us to a lovely Mexican wine - we bought a bottle for our last night dinner :) Gustavo gave us a wonderful hydrotherapy circuit, followed by AMAZING massages with Griselda and Naomi Benito also was so lovely and served us our last few days at the pool, when the schedule changed and Oscar moved to another area. I sadly don't know the names of the folks who cleaned our room and did turndown service, but I want to extend a warm thank you! And for the several times we came back to our room to find towel animals, and lovely decorations I am sure I have inadvertently missed someone, and my apologies - every single one of you who work at Beloved, from housekeeping who kept our rooms beautifully clean and stocked, to the gardeners who keep the grounds gorgeous, do an awesome job. Thank you all for a wonderful trip!!

My husband and I have travelled to many resorts in Mexico over the years, both family and adults only. Beloved has definitely set the standards high as a couples resort! If you are looking to get away with your loved one to a place that is quiet, serene, and laid back that this place is for you! Very relaxing by the pools and beach, no loud parties, some evening entertainment and daytime activities with Marisol if you are interested (yoga, bracelet making, mud experience, drink mix lessons). Rooms are a great size and include a great minibar. Coffee shop was excellent (open 7am to 10pm) and offered parties, any type of coffee drinks, and gelato. Room service is a quick choice with privacy box availability. Restaurants were a hit or miss. Some service was great but others not. The spa was by far my favourite, terrific atmosphere and great massage ($180 USD for 75 minutes). Of everything offered at the resort, the food choice and quality was our least favourite. Why?? Hair found in my husband’s made to order eggs on first day at Le Bisou, terrible service at Italian restaurant (no top up of drinks, cold food, “forgot” bread app). Hot tubs need to be hotter so more enjoyable. All in all, will we be back? Probably yes as long as they make some minor improvements.

Please do yourself a favor and go to this resort! I had the most beautiful time with my partner in January. The wait staff was incredibly nice and greeted us with a smile and a yes to every request. We had the opportunity to go to Tulum, and the Xel-Ha, parasailing and jet skiing, we ate the most fantastic meals on a beach bed right next to the water. It was the easiest and most pleasant vacation and gave true meaning to the word luxury. It was not pretentious and the guest coordinator (and every single one of the waitstaff!!) made sure we were having fun every step of the way.
