Not the best resort

Unless you bought the preferred package, the staff is inattentive. We were not offered the package. The food is average, taste like cruise food.

A great Easter holiday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Our first trip to Mexico and we loved it. We prefer smaller hotels so this was ideal for us. We were not in a preferred room but our room was spacious - we would have welcomed a king size bed though. The food was really varied and we could all always find something we wanted to eat. It was much better quality than we had expected from other reviews - it is a mid range AI after all. Room service was handy - it meant our teen could eat early before hanging out with her friends while we had dinner out. We also loved the coco cafe and used that a lot. The staff were all very welcoming, attentive and friendly in all areas. The porter gave us a great welcome and remembered our names throughout our stay which was really nice. Zabdiel, Abigail, Itza, Edwin and Perla in the entertainment team worked hard to keep us and our daughter entertained without being annoying. It felt like they really wanted to make sure we had a good holiday. I recommend the guided walk and/or bike ride to see the local community. It was my birthday whilst I was there and the banner and birthday cake was also a nice touch. The main negative for me was the sunbed situation - the pool was full by 8.30am even towards the end of our holiday when the hotel was quieter. They did try and stop people reserving them but there was just not enough to go around. The pool area isn't that big but they have a terrace above the seaside restaurant, if they added a bar and some shade they could try putting more loungers up there. All in all we thought great value for money and we would happily stay again.

Smaller quaint resort

This is a smaller quaint resort. The staff are excellent and the food is good. I just had one bad experience with the food on my last night with a steak at the Seaside Grill.

Wonderful vacation at Dreams

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

The resort was smaller than we expected but what superseded that was the amazing service we received. We felt Roberto (pool concierge) went above and beyond. That young man is so professional, personable, hard working and clearly dedicated to his job. Roberto has outstanding people skills and always has a welcoming smile regardless of how busy he is. He always checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed. Emilio also impressed us with his outstanding people skills. Again he was very professional and understood our need and desire to just chill and enjoy our time at the resort. Emilio was always a welcoming face, again ensuring we had everything we needed. Reuben and Karen were often our servers. These two could and should give lessons to other staff on best practices. Both always had a big smile and are very efficient at what they do. They appear to love their job and were often found laughing with other staff and guests. I’m sure these qualities also gave them bigger tips which all servers, regardless of where they work, should aspire to. We know sargassum is an act of nature and we saw how hard the workers worked to clean it up and keep it at bay so your guests could enjoy their surroundings. This resort is very clean and we were equally impressed that there were always clean towels available for everyone. The à la carte restaurants were very good and we really enjoyed Portofino, Gohan’s and Oceana’s. Oceana’s has the best view along the canal. There is a buffet at breakfast and lunch at the World Café which was always very good with a good selection, including gluten free choices. In the evening everything is à la carte which is nice. We were Preferred Club and our room (537) overlooked the Preferred Pool and Canal. Rosario was our housekeeper and did a lovely job of keeping everything clean. The beauty of this property is that it it located within a gated community near the marina. I would recommend people take a walk around the marina area, visit the dolphins and see the public beach. There are restaurants, bars and shopping all contained within walking distance. Our only issue if you could even call it that was we thought the pools were small given the number of guests. It didn’t stop is from enjoying them. This is a beautiful resort and we would recommend it.

Would not return Advertise all inclusive 24 hour room service there is no food 11pm-7am or drinks after 1am

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We stayed here for a wedding and upgraded to preferred club at the end of February 2026. Unfortunately, the property is in need of a refresh. Our room had broken bathroom tiles, dirty caulking, and what appeared to be mould inside the vents. The food was inconsistent—sometimes good, sometimes not, which is fairly typical for an all-inclusive. However, the biggest issue was the misleading claim of “24-hour room service.” In reality, there is no room service or food available between 11 PM and 7 AM. At an all-inclusive resort, having no access to food for 8 hours is unacceptable. Alcohol is not served as of 1am. This is not only through the app also calling room service the line was shut down. We could not get any food The beach also had an unpleasant smell, which made it less enjoyable. That said, the staff were very kind and accommodating, and there is a calm, protected swimming area in the ocean created by a seawall, which is a nice feature. Overall, due to the lack of transparency and false advertising around food availability and the condition of the rooms, I would not return. Upon reaching out to Hyatt the parent company I was ignored and nothing was done to correct or compensate the issues. Will not be returning to a Hyatt property.
