Do not accept rooms 154 or 155 as a Preferred Club Swim Out Room. These rooms share a patio and the smallest pool of the preferred side. We booked a Preferred Club Swim Out Room for our anniversary. We checked in later in the evening. After a long travel day, we changed, went to dinner and straight to bed. Upon going outside with my morning coffee I was greeted by Doug and Diane from Toronto on the patio. It was then we discovered we were sharing a patio and a pool with another room. This room was occupied by 2 adults and a 5 year old. When a room change was requested, they stated there was no availability. The solution that was offered was adding more lounge chairs however, there is no room for more than 2 chairs in this area. We lost out on a private patio and swim out for our stay. The swim out was the reason for choosing this resort. We saved for 2 years to go on this trip. We were so excited. How disappointing. And this was the “preferred/vip” customer service. I cannot imagine what the standard level of service is.

Room and scenery is great. The resort is small but cozy. Restaurants and food are average. I wished they had some more selections. They bar and food service staff was little disappointing. They could have been little more friendly. The rest of the resort, rooms and pools, were nice. The Preferred upgrade is not necessary to have a good time.

From the moment you arrive at the resort you feel safe, secure and welcome. You feel like family… At every turn is a smiling face greets you. Housekeeping with turndown service, smiles. Tasty drinks with service to you hammock or lounge chair, smiles. 8+ choices to eat, smiles. Casual 5 minute walk to secure town with incredible food options and dolphins and manatees you can swim with or enjoy shopping and lunch and watch, smiles. Excellent concierge service offered up everything from excursions to golf(9, 18, iron course next door), shop or float down underground rivers, to on property pickleball, game room, water aerobics nightly shows and activities. Special love to Myriam that feel like a daughter that wanted to make sure we feel wanted and special every hour of every day. She is truly a kind and genuine soul. We will certainly be back to visit our new family soon.

We had issues checking in that did not seem to matter to Amando at the front. He laughed at us and continued to be unhelpful during our entire stay. The rest of the staff was great. The check in process was so long after a long day of travel. Constant upselling which I hated. Totally worth getting your own swim out room as the main pool is usually dirty with tree debris. The people visiting were trashy, sitting by the pool yelling, fighting, loud speaker, etc. This was all over the resort not just by us. Our room was VERY musty, to the point I had to wash every single thing upon return. The spa was great. The beach is not a beach. If you are going for a beach experience, this does not have it. Room service was great and delicious. The town outside of the resort is unique and fun. The marina is the best spot to go to. I liked that they had snacks daily that were out by the pool like Mexican and sushi. Some days they played music by the pool and sometimes they didn't. Housekeeping was great. Don't get roped in to all the "offerings" to listen to a sales pitch to go to Xcaret, it is so frustrating. When it rained, the floors flood which is ok but we saw several people slip and hurt themselves. My husband pulled his groin and our elderly neighbor hit his head! The game room is a nice add, our 10 year old went often. We tipped the gal who is up there watching over the kids. The gym is great.

I recently celebrated a milestone birthday at Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya Resort in February 2025, and I am so incredibly happy that I chose this resort for such a special occasion! I typically don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to this time because this resort went above and beyond in making my birthday and stay truly unforgettable. I travel to resorts about twice a year, and out of all my experiences, this resort had the most genuinely kind, attentive, and thoughtful staff I have ever encountered. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, and the personal touches throughout my stay made it clear that they truly cared about their guests. One of the sweetest surprises was the beautiful birthday banner on my door, which instantly made me feel celebrated. I stayed in a Preferred Master Suite, which was not only spacious and luxurious but also had breathtaking views. Every part of my trip exceeded my expectations, but what really made this stay exceptional was the incredible staff who went above and beyond in every possible way. ⭐ A Huge Thank You to These Amazing People! ⭐ 🌟 Alejandro – Always so kind and attentive, making sure we had comfortable loungers to relax in and anything else we needed. One day, while we were on the beach, we casually mentioned that our bedroom closet door was off track—and by the time we returned to the room, it had already been fixed! His attention to detail and proactive service were outstanding. 🌞 Paulina – A true ray of sunshine, always checking in to see if we needed anything. Her warm and genuine personality made our stay even more enjoyable! 🍽️ Julian – A fantastic waiter who made sure we fully enjoyed our meals. His service was top-notch! 🍹 Daniel – Our go-to beach bartender, ensuring our drinks were made just the way we liked them while we relaxed by the ocean. 🥂 Jazi – An absolute standout in the Preferred private area on the 7th floor! I cannot say enough about how he took care of our breakfast requests and prepared our cocktails to perfection. He was our mixologist extraordinaire, and let me tell you—he knows how to make a drink! He even gave my son the nickname "Don Julio," which stuck throughout our stay. His amazing personality, humor, and kindness made us plan our schedule around when he was working, just so we could enjoy his service! He was one of the highlights of our trip. 🎭 Sebastian – Kept us entertained with his energy and enthusiasm! 📅 Akkel (VIP Services) – So incredibly helpful in scheduling everything we wanted to do. He even went out of his way to look into unique adventures that aren’t commonly requested. His dedication to ensuring we had the perfect experience was truly appreciated. 📸 Kenia & Her Partner (Aventuras Photos) – They captured stunning family pictures that I will treasure forever! Kenia was off on the day I wanted to take pictures, but she came in anyway just to capture this special moment for me and my family. Her partner also did a fantastic job capturing my private beach dinner. Their work was simply breathtaking. 🎶 Christian & Itzayana – These two were a ball of energy! They kept us engaged in fun activities, refused to take no for an answer, and had us dancing, playing bingo, volleyball, and more. Their enthusiasm was contagious! 🐟 Pascual (Oceana Restaurant) – One of the absolute best! He made sure we were happy with our food, entertained us with his great sense of humor, and even convinced my aunt to take a shot! Such a fun and memorable experience. 🎀 Myriam (7th Floor Preferred Check-in) – This woman touched our hearts in the most special way. When she found out that my son and daughter-in-law were expecting a baby, she handmade a baby banner for them! This incredibly kind gesture left us speechless and gave us a memory we will treasure for a lifetime. 💖 Ruth – Always checking in to see if we needed anything. Such a sweetheart! 💫 Fernando Olvera – Where do I even begin? I will forever be grateful for Fernando. He treated me and my family like his own, making it his personal mission to ensure my birthday celebration was one for the books. Saying he went out of his way does not even begin to describe how much he did for us. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and dedication truly touched my heart, and I will never forget him or all the ways he made our stay so incredibly special over our 11-day trip. He holds a very special place in my heart. Dreams Aventuras is a smaller, more intimate resort, but that’s what makes it so special. It has a warm, family-like atmosphere where the staff genuinely cares about making your stay memorable. Every single person I mentioned went above and beyond to ensure that this trip was one I will never forget. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, all-inclusive resort with outstanding service, a beautiful setting, clean, and a staff that treats you like family—Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya is the place to be! I can’t wait to return!
