Great experience only made better by the excellent work of Fabio. He truly made a lasting impression on our family and friends, from coordinating golf to special dinner reservations for 20 of us. We’ve been members since 2013 and have stayed at many resorts through the years, some with butlers, and Fabio stands out as the best we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with us.

We are 2 hours away from leaving this resort, sitting in the preferred lounge enjoying a glenlivet and a beer. An honest review. We travel to an all inclusive atleast once per year, the past 4 years we've stayed at dreams playa mujeures, zoetry marigot bay, riu palace playa mujeures, and dreams flora. I'll start with the bad. As preferred guests we usually get our fridge restocked daily, the hyatt website states this as a service standard. Here that was not the case. We had to complain for water, in the end they dropped off a case. One day the maid did not service our room. And finally the beach could be amazing if they just did a bit better of a job cleaning the seaweed, but that did improve by the end of our stay. The good. The food is great. We did not try the buffet, choosing for a restaurant meal from a menu every breakfast lunch, and dinner. The Bluewater grill we visited for breakfast and lunch daily and we're always impressed with the service. The food was excellent. We ate dinner there twice, excellent. The Mexican restaurant was really good. We find that resorts usually offer bland Mexican but here it was flavorful. The Japanese, French, and Italian were also very good. We were really happy with the food. The service is excellent throughout. We missed the butler style service of the flora and mujeures but every single staff member was wonderful, we enjoyed interacting with them. We went on beach walks daily, you can walk about 5km end to end. We mustered about 15000 steps daily. We were traveling with 3 daughters 14, 14, and 11 and they enjoyed themselves at the pool, beach, watersides and corezone. They said they would happily return. In closing, the resort hosted a private party just before we arrived which may have left the resort playing catchup to the large number of guests arriving, we enjoyed our time even though there were a few small hiccups.

We’ve had an excellent stay. Room was a tropical view, standard. It was spacious. Fridge was restocked daily and cleaned regularly. Only one hook to hang towels though but first world problem for sure! Food - we ate at buffet, Italian, teppinyski, and lobby taco cart. Everything was good - no complaints. They don’t take reservations so we waited about a hour for a table for two at Italian. We did thevteppinyaki table twice as you can reserve that one. If you drink wine I did hear that if you buy a bottle for 85$ you don’t have to wait for a table at the restaurants. The tacos in the lobby bar were amazing. For lunch every day we ate at the poolside grill. They will make a pizza, burger, hot dogs in the grill. There’s also onion rings, fries, tacos, nachos and toppings. The guacamole was amazing!! The buffet was pretty standard when we did go there. We had asian theme and seafood themed nights. The Asian was delicious. Not a huge seafood person so I had a steak done on the grill that night but my daughter enjoyed it. Not many options for deserts. We spent our days at the pool. We didn’t have any problems getting seats but I was up early every day and got us seats. I’d go to the coffee shop and get coffee and some fruit and get us chairs. I hate doing this, but if you don’t it is hard to find chairs after 10 am. The service by the pool was fantastic as was the entertainment staff. The pool swim up bar was under construction while we were here but they had a bar set up poolside. The gym was fine. It has all the essentials except for a yoga space. I had to lay out my mat in the middle of the gym which is a bit weird but there aren’t many spots to work with the free weights when it’s busy. The resort itself isn’t huge, which we love. There seemed lots for young kids to do. Lots of teens participating in beach volleyball and in the sports bar late at night. We didn’t attend the night time entertainment so can’t comment. The beach isn’t huge. Not many laying on the beach. You can walk for ages along the beach though. I don’t think this is 5 star - but service was incredible. Everything was clean. And the sun was gorgeous. I got a good deal (under 2000$ per person). I would return. Richi on the entertainment team was a highlight!!! I did run into an issue with my credit card. You cannot have a pin over 5 numbers - so I was stuck without a credit card.

We had mixed experience during our stay, few things are really goods in resort however some part they require good attention. 1) Make sure you select flight time according to resort checkout otherwise they are less likely to extend your checkout. 2) Room service was very slow it took an hour to deliver anything in room. 3) In some days they collected the dirty napkins and towels and forgot to replace the clean ones. Even after asking room service no one delivered. 4) Beach was not cleaned regularly as there was a sea weed issue. 5) Main Pool required some cleaning as there was sand and some litter in the pool. 6) Power went out frequently when there was rain. Good part are 1) There are number of activities through out the day and for kids also they have play area and daycare to keep them busy. 2) Bar and cafe are good with various beverage options. 3) World cafe was outstanding with lots of options during breakfast, lunch and dinner. 4) Bar service and BBQ are near by beach and pool area. Also they serve at your place around pool and even on beach. 5) All staff members are polite and helpful.

Highly recommend the Dreams Sapphire. Lots to love about the place. Lovely main pool, rooms are clean and nice (stayed in Junior Suite ocean view preferred club). The staff are very nice and helpful. Shout-out to Mardo and Eduardo in the buffet, Ritchi with the entertainment, and Francisco tirelessly serving people by the pool. For those with food sensitivities, they are very well organized. The menus for the sit down restaurants actually mark items that are gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and nut free. The combination of gluten and dairy free proved more difficult, but that has been the case at every resort we have travelled to. When requested, they made GF / DF pancakes every morning for us and they were delicious. The Japanese cooking show did an amazing job accommodating gluten, dairy and a shellfish allergy without making us feel like a nuisance. Love Coco the little coffee shop that had oat milk, soy milk and almond milk options, and Revive, the smoothie and sorbet bar with GF options. The staff serving there were always pleasant and patient despite high demand as the resort got busier. A few of us had a bad experience with one bartender at the Rendezvous bar who was unfriendly and would give preference to certain people. But that was the exception. The beach was quite nice, not much seaweed. Love that you can get towels by the pool without a hassle or having to produce a room key. There were enough pool chairs as long as you snagged one before 9:30 or 10 am when it got busy. It costs $24 US to get a cab into Puerto Moreles (10-15 mins) where there are cute shops and restaurants. The hotel can arrange the taxi and they will wait and bring you back after a few hours. Minor recommendations to improve the hotel: more soap dispensers in the women’s washrooms (there is only one for a whole row of sinks). They should replenish water in rooms more frequently. We don’t drink much alcohol and found we were often out of water and having to go to bars for water. Love that they have water refill stations for your own bottles. The swim up bar in the main pool was being renovated during our stay, which was too bad. I wonder whether they could have fixed it before the high season? Overall though a really lovely place with kind staff.
