Spent five nights at Casa Velas with friends and was very impressed by the level of service. This place likely caters to an older crowd, as it is known for being an oasis of relaxation. It is adults-only and has a chill vibe. Since it’s not a big hotel, you won’t have to wake up extra early to secure a spot at the beach. Casa Velas is all-inclusive, but none of the meals are buffets, which makes for a more upscale experience with higher-quality food. Many of the guests were repeat visitors, with some staying for two weeks or more. The hotel itself is beautiful, but for me, the biggest draw was the attentiveness of the staff. Everyone we encountered went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. They paid attention to our preferences and personalized our experience in remarkable ways. They suggested menu items and were quick to bring whatever we requested. At dinner, Rodolfo stood out with his flawless service and impressive talent for making the boozy flambéed coffee. His menu suggestions were spot-on as well! At the beach, Carlos was a tireless worker who anticipated our every need. After the first day, he had everything set up and ready to go, knew all of our preferences, and continually went above and beyond. Erick and the entire team at Tao Beach Club were also fantastic. On our last night, they decorated our table with a beautiful flower arrangement and surprised us with a dessert plate thanking us for visiting. Ávalos and the breakfast staff were wonderful—some of the kindest and most hardworking people you could imagine. We spent a lot of time at the pool, where Juan, Ramón, and Ulises took excellent care of us. I also used the gym and found it well-equipped. On one occasion, it had already closed for the day (after 5 PM), but they graciously opened it for me. The spa was great! I had a 50-minute Harmony massage with Lourdes, who was not only an amazing masseuse but also incredibly sweet and attentive. Our room was meticulously cleaned every day and we found little souvenirs every night which were so appreciated. At Casa Velas, you will be pampered to the extreme. Highly recommend it!

For our first time in PV - we chose an all-inclusive away from the hustle and bustle of downtown PV. I loved our location - so close to the airport in a residential area by the Marina. So close to walk between the CV and Velas Vallarta and Tau BC. You can take a shuttle, but a nice walk between them. Yet only a cab ride to either downtown PV or the 2 golf courses in the mountains. Staff-wise - CV was fabulous - very accomodating and nice. Very friendly. Room-wise - large room / bathroom. Bathroom could use a bit of a remodel / sprucing up, however. I also wish there were more drawers for clothes vs just the closet to hang things. Also wish there were more convenient plugs in the room. Always a need to charge devices and each plug was behind a bed / table and was hard to get to. Food-wise - I was very impressed by all the restaurants. Nice controlled portions but you can always order more. Our best dinner was Emiliano during the Monday night fire show. We also loved La Ribera for its comfortable breakfast/lunch. Watching the sunset during dinner at Tau was also spectacular. 2 cons during our stay: * Pool - This was my pet peeve and really want me to drop a star on my review. The resort should NOT allow people to put a bag on a pool chair at 9 am and then not use it until noon. We would come to the pool after lunch each day and it was an ordeal to find a seat. Not only these "fake" reservations - but also not enough chairs set out. There is plenty of room in the pool area for more chairs - why don't they set more up during the morning? Why do I need to circle pool area twice to find something? Too many large cabanas set up and not enough regular loungers. * Activity calendar. I thought there were differenet activities you can partake in at either CV or Velas Vallarta - but yet no signage or emails about them. Why not promote this to your guests? It was an off chance that we saw the Fire Show on Monday night and heard the singers at CV during the nightly performance. Overall - loved our stay but the pool pet peeve did irk me each day. I want to be relaxed but knowing I "might" not have a pool chair was frustrating each day. On the other hand - great food/staff/location.

I was looking for a holiday where I would be able to rest and recharge, something quiet and tranquil. This was the best choice from what I found online at the time of my travel. The strength of this resort is the staff's care, and attention to getting to know their guests - like many of the reviews echo. This is a good place to vacation if you are looking for something quiet, and tranquil. Personal Experience / Care: - I completed a short survey early on my in my trip, and I had an immediate response which resulted in my room being upgraded, an amazing response based on what I brought up. - The staff get to know your name, and personal tastes, and will be able to stay ahead of what you like and dislike. - I had a birthday cake as a surprise in my room on the day of my birthday, very pleasant to have that! - When I was departing I was also given a special dessert thanking me for my stay and wishing me all the best, again very nice to have that done, and that attention to detail and care. - I had a sweater to launder during my stay which was no charged for the service, I accidentally smeared my sleeve in a welcome treat left on a table when opening a booklet about the hotel info, again very nice that this was just taken care of at the end of the day. What I Liked: - Staff care a lot, and provide attention to detail to their guests. - Great beds, very comfortable, very quiet and tranquil space. - Great destination for recharging, reading, and generally lounging. - Amenities in the rooms are good, and everything that you may need is really there, or just ask and it can be provided. - Some rooms offer a plunge in the backyard area, this is nice if you want to do a cold plunge (that's what I wanted it for) you can call the room service to bring ice if you'd like to cool the plunges down further. - Large and modern bathrooms, and some offer Jacuzzi which is excellent for relaxing. - The room service is very fast, and prompt from ordering to receiving the order. Small Comments: - Having a bit more of an orientation of the grounds could be a an idea, not really necessary - my vacation rep was MIA (Air Canada) and so I missed out on what they could have shared or showed on the grounds, not really a fault of the hotel. My overall point is this - travellers arrive tired often, and guiding them forward from that point of contact is a good idea. Again, any guest can ask and the staff will happily help too. Just small observation. - Maybe providing a net nearby to scoop out the foliage debris that goes into the plunges could be a good idea. - The food is good, sometimes excellent depending on what is being ordered. I have a limited amount of what I can eat as I'm pescetarian, so I can't comment for everything. The pasta and the sauces for the pastas could be improved would be my only criteria. Good For: To summarize, if you're looking for a quiet retreat for golfing, reading, and eating in a tranquil environment this is the spot for you. I wanted to just lie low, and recharge, and this resort met those checkmarks perfectly. I would return, and recommend to friends based on their preferences.

We just returned form a week of pampering at Casa Velas. The room was fabulous, the food was excellent, and the service staff incredible. The beach club was very private and well maintained. If you are looking for an adults-only place to unwind and be taken care of, this is it. We'll be back.

We stayed at this resort in January and Casa Velas is truly luxurious. We had a suite overlooking the golf course with a private Jacuzzi on the balcony. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurants are gourmet and the beach is close. We highly recommend Casa Velas Boutique Hotel as a quiet getaway just minutes from the the airport and downtown.
