Excellence Punta Cana

We had the best time!! Rooms were amazing!! Pillows were amazing!! People were amazing!! Actually the people made this resort special. Everyone was so friendly and remembered our preferences, remembered what activities we'd attended, remembered my food allergy. Extra special shout out to Manauri at Lobster House for making our many meals there so much fun and so wonderful!! We had fun practicing our Spanish after Blade and Nicky taught the class. Anytime Blade saw us he reviewed what we learned and added a bit more, it was great and fun! Another shout out to one of the evening bartenders at the Blue Bar for making a modification to a drink, but not just what we asked for, but made up a new drink to suit us, not only was it much lower in sugar but his thinking outside the box made a beautiful new drink! I can't wait to go back!!

My wife and I went to Excellence Punta Cana for 9 days for our honeymoon and had the most incredible time. We stayed in the rooftop terrace honeymoon suite and it was unbelievable. We loved taking advantage of the plunge pool and outdoor shower in the afternoon. During the day, we spent most of our time at the excellence club pool. There, Hendruix was the pool concierge and catered to our every need. Hendruix truly made our experience incredible!!!! Miguel was our butler and took the most amazing care of us, ensuring we always had reservations for dinner and sending us many phenomenal surprises throughout our stay! Overall, the food, service, and property was so incredible and we can’t wait to go back!!!

We came back last week from our third trip to EPC. We have been going on AI's for 19 years straight (Mexico, Jamaica and Punta Cana). We found the Excellence 3 years ago and have not felt the need to go anywhere else. It has everything we could possibly want. We stay in a basic garden view room, non club. The extra restaurant, liquor choices and pools don't interest us enough to do club. We would rather spend that extra money on an extra night. The pool is beautiful. It stretches the whole length of the resort so that wherever you sit you are still looking at the ocean. Never too crowded and always able to find a chair. If you want quiet, you go down to the one end and if you want more activity you go to the other end. We tend to end up in the middle lol. Food is very good for an all inclusive. Service is incredible. We hang out at the Prelude Bar in the evening and have to mention Berroa and all the rest. Berroa has recognized us from the first visit and makes sure my favorite beer is stocked and ready every night. When he is off for 3 days he makes sure the others know to have it ready for us. Shout out to all the other bartenders there for remembering and taking such good care of us when he is off! Service around the pool is great. Constantly coming around for drink orders and delivering lunch to the pool every day. My husband had an unfortunate accident on our first full day which required going to the hospital. He got a 4 inch sliver in his foot which the hotel doctor couldn't remove. They got us a cab and sent the concierge, Cristina, with us to the hospital. She was a reassuring presence and helped with any communication with the hospital staff. She is a wonderful woman who truly cares about her customers! The cab driver also stayed. The hospital was clean and organized and the dr. and nurses spoke perfect English. Just a warning to all....Do not go barefoot on the boardwalk! The boards are in terrible condition. Also, you have to pay out of pocket for all expenses and submit to your health insurance and trip insurance after it is paid for. After that we had a wonderful 9 day trip and are already counting down to next year.

We had an amazing week at Excellence Punta Cana. The food was amazing, our room was great, and the service was exceptional. The entertainment every night was very good, organized by Butterfly. If it wasn't something you liked, there were lots of other quite areas in the resort to relax. Erika at the Sol bar was lovely, service with a smile everyday. All of the staff at each of the restaurants were happy to see you everytime and would recognize you if you went to the same place multiple times. The steakhouse grill and the Mexican restaurant were our favorites. Our waiter, Bladimir, at the Grill was great, exceptional service! Our driver back to the airport ( Yohan/Chocolate) with the Seasons service was great, super friendly and entertaining! We will definitely be coming back for another week.

We have been staying at Excellence Punta Cana for over a dozen years. We have personal reasons for continuing to return to EPC. While it has always been good, in recent years it has continued to improve. We go for the peace and quiet and opportunity to sit on the beach and do nothing. We always sit at the north end of the property under one of the thatched umbrellas. We walk the beach almost daily (yes, it is safe during the day, plenty to do at the resort in the evenings) either to Zoetry northbound or to Excellence El Carmen southbound. There are several other resorts along the way with new ones being completed. Service is “Excellente”, with particularly notable staff including Angel, the trainer at the Fitness Center, Modesto, who keeps the area around the courts and fitness center in tip top shape, Jesus at the Lobster House whom we have seen several times, and Ariel and Esequiel at Chez Isabelle. These two are our favorite restaurants. The food is generally excellent as well. Met Saad Tazi, the general manager, and his number two, Yulissa Mari. They always make sure that we were having an excellent stay and strive to make the resort even better. There are often little gifts in our room. Looking forward to what new things they have for us next year. One tip, book early if you want an ocean view room.
