Excellence Punta Cana was pristine and my wife and I had a fantastic and relaxing time. First, the pools and beach are incredible. I could have floated next to the Blue swim-up pool bar all day. We were also very pleased with the restaurants. They had delicious food and attentive staff. The staff really is genuinely friendly throughout the resort and they're accommodating to anything you need. The shows at night are the cherry on top and the special Valentine's Day show was really fun. I also recommend hitting up the spa if you really need to relax (try the couples massage). We hope to return soon! P.S. - Joy Boy and Blade were awesome. They led all the activities during our stay and really knew how to get the good vibes flowing.

The resort was very clean and staff was very friendly. We stayed 6 nights and was able to try all the restaurants and attend several activities we loved it here. Our spa service was very nice as well. I wish the pools stayed open later than 7pm. Great resort and we will be returning

We just returned from two wonderful weeks at the excellence club. This is our 20th trip to this resort. People ask us why we keep going back, and it’s the staff. They are genuinely interested in having you have a wonderful time. From Hendrix, who make sure the club pool is running smoothly to Juan, Carlos and Jeffrey at the beach , your every need is taken care of. Sariano at the Palms bar makes an awesome bloody Mary. This is not the newest hotel on the strip, however, they did spend close to $50 million in 2017 to rehab and change the overall dynamics of the rooms and beachfront. Again the difference in my mind is the wonderful staff and how they treat their guests. I feel like I’m going home every year when I go there. Can’t wait till next year.

We stayed in the Club Level Adult only side of this resort. It was really worth the extra $$ to book a club room that included access to what we considered to be the 2 best restaurants (for club level only) on the property. Service there was above average as were specific items on the menu. Although you can no longer make advance reservations at the restaurants, if there is a wait you can put your name in with the restaurant receptionist, go to the bar for a drink and then return 30-45 minutes later. You don’t have to stand and wait at the restaurant. Features we appreciated were the heated adults only pool, ready availability of palapas and chairs at the club level beach area even later in the morning, the readiness of staff to fill your requests ( about everything), the manicured and well taken care property, the cleanliness and room amenities. The surf was rather rather rough and for most of our stay; no one was in the ocean. One day we borrowed boogie boards from the oceanfront hut right off to the side of the adults only beach ( no charge for use of the boards) and they made going into the ocean feel a little safer. The ocean water was pretty warm so had it been a little calmer, we would have been able to enjoy the ocean. This kids side of the resort was a child’s dream with pool climbing toys, a padded playground, an ice cream shop and an evening churro cart. The food on that side really catered to what kids like to eat. Over all the dinner food, aside from the two club level restaurants was ok. The breakfast buffet was incredibly extensive. It even had a gluten free breakfast pastry area. We would recommend this resort given the above caveats and would plan to return, except for the rough surf. We have traveled extensively, often using all inclusive Caribbean resorts to book winter vacations, and this is one of the best in this price range.

Really enjoyed our stay. One of the little luxuries that we didn’t know we’d love is the abundance of chairs. At other resorts, you have to go down and “claim” your chair early or you won’t get one. This property had plenty of chairs even when it’s busy. Service was great, staff was friendly, Kelvin kept coming around bringing us drinks right to our chairs with a smile on his face, he was great. We would come back, and would recommend!

This resort was FABULOUS! You are totally taken care of. When you arrive you receive a glass of champagne, a cool towel to wipe your face and hands, and a big “Welcome Home!". I am very big on service and the service I received at the Excellence Punta Cana was unmatched. Plus it's only for adults… so no screaming kids! The food was very good and they offer premium drinks. I would stay there again anytime.
